The kinetics of extraction and stripping of copper （Ⅱ） was investigated by the single drop technique with a new extractant N902 （a derivative of the salicylal-doxime） and the rate equations of extraction and stripping were derived, respectively. The apparent activation energies of extraction and stripping were estimated to be 20.14 kJ/mol and 30.0 k J/mol.

This paper addressed the international transferring t endency of manufacturing industry one by one as follows: (1) The developed count ries realize manufacturing industry structure upgrade reling on worldwide tr ansference not only domestic transference. On one hand, the TNCs make cross-inv estments, transnational merger & acquisition so as to achieve the optimum colloc ation of R&D resources, and obtain innovation in knowledge and technology. On th e other hand, the developed countries transfer labor and resource intensive indu stry as well as the labor-intensive link of the production chain in highly tech nology industry to the developing countries, to make their industrial structure escalation. (2) The adjustment and upgrade of manufacturing industry presents "m ulti-step type". First, the object of international transference substitutes th e capital-intensive industry and maturing industry with complicate technique fo r the industry with labor-intensive, simple technique or higher pollution, or s ubstitutes non-core complex technological procedure and parts and components fo r assembly in manufacturing process. Secondly, technology transference forms "br ain-hand and foot" pattern, i.e. the developed countries are increasingly p aying more and more attention to the research and control of core technology, th us transferring simple technique and labor-intensive procedure in higher scienc e and technology. Thirdly, the developed countries begins to transfer both capit al and technology intensive production, as well as transfer certain procedures i n higher technology production process to a few developing countries, even t o transfer parts of R & D to developing countries. (3) TNCs promote the global m anufacturing network (GMN) by recombination and transfer. TNCs organize producti on, trade, technological research and transference through foreign direct invest ment (FDI) all over the world, as a result, GMN makes the national competence no longer depend on absolu

The well-dispersive yttrium-stabilized cubic zirconia nanoparticles were fabricated via vapor phase hydrolysis process,and the as-synthesized cubic zirconia nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),highresolution electron microscopy(HRTEM) and N 2 adsorption-desorption isotherm *** results of XRD indicated that the pure cubic zirconia nanocrystals were obtained with 8 mol% yttrium atoms *** SEM and TEM observation showed the yttrium-stabilized cubic zirconia nanoparticles(8 mol% yttrium) were dispersive well,with an average crystallite size of 5 *** zirconia coatings were fabricated via the layer by layer(LbL) assembly using poly(allylamine hydrochloride) as polyelectrolyte and cubic zirconia nanoparticles as building blocks in order to illustrate its good *** quartz substrate coated on both sides with 10 layers of yttrium-stabilized cubic zirconia nanoparticles exhibited transmittance as high as 92.3%,which was decreased only one percent compared with bare quartz ***,the stable super-hydrophilic wetting property of the coating was obtained after a critical number of layers(10 layers) deposited onto the surface of quartz substrate,due to its porous structures.

In recent decades, the world economy has been stron gl y driven by worldwide foreign direct investment (FDI) of transnational corporati ons (TNCs). And business globalisation is leading to widespread re-structuring of international manufacturing systems in TNCs. However, still very little sys tematic research in manufacturing engineering or production/operations managemen t (P/O M) has focused on these new types of globalised manufacturing systems, an d little communication is organised between different academic disciplines such as manufacturing, management/ business studies, economics, geography, internatio nal development studies and so on. Many critical issues are still poorly unders tood and are not covered by current research agendas, for example: · properties of international manufacturing network systems in terms of structu ral architecture, dynamic mechanisms, strategic capabilities, strategy processes , new technology, and alliance relationships · knowledge management and organisational learning mechanisms in international manufacturing context, especially in globally coordinated networks at both intra - and inter- organisational levels · global economic trends, regional collaboration, national culture/identity, an d their impacts on industrial sector development, and company’s manufacturin g system design/re-structuring In industry, lack of global vision and appropriate strategies during internation alisation have become major barrier to the effective management of international operations. In academia, limited multi-discipline exchanges have inhibited de velopments not only in each area but also knowledge contribution to industry whi ch could arise from discipline integration. This paper, based on recent years case observations and action research work on manufacturing internationalisation, especially globalisation, introduces an evol utionary process of manufacturing systems. The 3 mol% yttria stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals (3Y-TZP) powder had three particle size distributions, while the fine one was lower than 100 nm. The 3Y-TZP compact was prepared by dry-pressing under pressures ranged from 10 to 30 MPa and then presintered at 1250 ℃ for 2 h. The matrix dry-pressed under the pressure of 20 MPa had a porosity of 16.7% and could be easily processed by computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing (CAD/ CAM), and which had been infiltrated by the La2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 glass at 1200 ℃ for 4 h. The flexural strength and fracture toughness of the composite were 710.7 MPa and 6.51 MPa m1/2, respectively. The low shrinkage (0.3%) of the composite can satisfy the net-shape fabrication standard. XRD results illustrated that zirconia in the La2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 glass-infiltrated 3Y-TZP all-ceramic composite was mainly in the tetragonal phase. SEM and EDS results indicated that the pores of the matrix were almost filled by the La2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 glass.

The mechanical properties of dental composites were improved by porous diatomite and nano-sized silica(OX-50)used as *** resin composites,filled with silanized OX-50 and silanized diatomite(40:60 wt/wt),presented the best flexural strength(133.1 MPa),elastic modulus(9.5 GPa)and Vickers microhardness(104.0 HV).Besides these,TiO2 nanoparticles were introduced to tune the dental resin composites colours which were valued by the CIE-Lab *** colour parameters(L*,a*,b*)showed that the colour changes of resin composites could be perceived obviously,when 300-400 nm TiO2 particles were introduced as *** resin composite,filled with 0.5 wt%TiO2,exhibited both clear discolouration(DE * =3.22)and high mechanical *** scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray(EDX),the titanium elemental mapping results indicated that the TiO2 particles were distributed evenly in the prepared dental composites.

In this paper,a distribution map of gravelly soil liquefaction that was caused by the Wenchuan M8.0 earthquake in china is proposed based on a detailed field investigation and an analysis of geological soil profiles. The geological background of the earthquake disaster region is summarized by compiling geological cross sections and borehole logs. Meanwhile,four typical liquefied sites were selected to conduct sample drillings,dynamic penetration tests (DPT),and shear wave velocity tests,to understand the features of liquefied gravelly soil. One hundred and eighteen (118) liquefied sites were investigated shortly after the earthquake. The field investigation showed:(1) sandboils and waterspouts occurred extensively,involving thousands of miles of farmland,120 villages,eight schools and five factories,which caused damage to some rural houses,schools,manufacturing facilities and wells,etc.; (2) the Chengdu plain is covered by a gravelly soil layer with a thickness of 0 m to 541 m according to the geological cross sections; (3) there were 80 gravelly soil liquefied sites in the Chengdu plain,shaped as five belt areas that varied from 20 km to 40 km in length,and about ten gravelly soil liquefied sites distributed within Mianyang area; and (4) the grain sizes of the sampled soil were relative larger than the ejected soil on the ground,thus the type of liquefied soil cannot be determined by the ejected soil. The gravelly soil liquefied sites are helpful in enriching the global database of gravelly soil liquefaction and developing a corresponding evaluation method in further research efforts.

We study in this paper a mathematical programming model for the coexistence of competitions and cooperations problems. We introduce a new solution concept, s-optimal solution for the problem, which always exists under compact and continuous conditions. It is shown that an s-optimal solution can be obtained by solving a nonlinear programming problem. Some examples are given to explain how to compute an s-optimal solution.
