Security of above ground storage tanks is extremely important that tanks are scheduled to be inspected periodically according to its service *** practice is to empty and clean the tank,then enter the tank using ultrasonic B-scan or magnetic flux leakage methods to detect the corrosion condition of the tanks,which is both time and money *** Emission （AE） is a valuable non-destructive tool for detecting the corrosion condition or leak of above ground storage tanks floor and there is little disruption to plant operation,as tanks only have to be taken off line for a short period of *** are even environmental benefits by not emptying and cleaning tanks that do not require inspection or work to be carried out on *** this paper,AE parameters which are used to evaluate the corrosion condition of tank plate are *** that may affect the evaluation results are discussed and compensating factors are proposed to modify evaluation *** rules for storage tank floor are *** the end,4 aboveground storage tanks containing different media were inspected using AE *** the help of AE inspection and evaluation results,tanks which are in serious corrosion condition and require urgent attention can be identified and scheduled for maintenance first,while good tanks can be left in *** is demonstrated that AE is a very useful tool in detecting and monitoring corrosion of above ground storage floor.

Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate)/Organophilic montmorillonite (PHBV/OMMT) nanocomposites were prepared and the biodegradability of the PHBV/OMMT nanocomposites was studied by a cultivation degrading method in soil suspension. The relationship between structure and biodegradability of PHBV/OMMT nanocomposites was investigated. The results showed that the biodegradability of PHBV/OMMT nanocomposites decreased with increasing amount of OMMT and it was related to the number of PHBV degrading microorganisms in degradation environment, the anti-microbial property of OMMT and the degree of crystallinity of the nanocomposites.

＜正＞Above ground marking system is one of the three main components of Magnetic Flux Leakage Detector, which is widely used in safety and integrity assessment of long-range transmission *** analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of three types of former above ground marking systems,a high-precision above ground marking system with smart appearance,intelligent communication and low cost is designed to eliminate the accumulated errors caused by mechanical construction,turning or slippage of the miles round of the magnetic Flux Leakage Detector. Hardware design of the new above ground system,including above ground marker and master clock system,is investigated in detail in this paper and reliable experiments and traction tests were performed to test the stability and dependability of the system.

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis （FTS） was carried out with an industrial iron-based catalyst（100Fe/5Cu/6K/16SiO2. by weight） at the baseline conditions in a continuous stirred tank slurry reactor （CSTR）.The impact of activation pressure on the catalyst bulk compositions and on the long-term （＞500 h） activity andselectivity of the catalyst was investigated. It was found that the BET surface area of the catalyst decreases withthe increase of reduction pressure. The iron phase compositions, textural properties, and FTS performances ofthe catalysts were strongly dependent on pretreatment pressure. The high reduction pressure clearly retards thecarburization. MES results indicated that the content of the iron carbides clearly decreases with the increase ofreduction pressure, especially for the reduction pressure increasing from 1.0 MPa pressure to 1.5 MPa pressure,and the reverse trend is observed for superparamagnetic Fe3+ （spm）. The higher amount of CO2.in tail gas resultsin the higher content of Fe3+ （spm） when the catalyst is reduced at higher pressure. The catalyst activitydecreases with the increase of reduction pressure. The high quantity of iron carbides is the necessary for highFTS to be obtained. However, the activity of the catalyst activating in syngas can not be predicted solely fromthe fraction of the carbides, and the phase equilibrium of oxidation-reduction of the iron phases may beresponsible for FTS activity when the total of carbides reaches the required level. With the increase of thereduction pressure, the product distribution shifted towards the higher molecular weight products. It isconcluded that activation with syngas at the lower pressure was the most desirable on the catalyst activity andstability.

As a kind of visual measurement technique based upon variations in conductivity,electrical resistance tomography has great potential in process application.A new data acquisition system for electrical resistance tomography is *** data acquisition system is built based on the CompactPCI bus and the *** application of the CompactPCI bus can make the single plane electrical resistance tomography system extended and upgraded easily to multi-plane by adding additional CompactPCI cards and simple changes of configuration in FPGA chips and software in host ***,the injecting method and strategy can be controlled flexibly by ***,the desired signals are measured and processed using digital signal processing technique in FPGA *** approach allows the system flexible,fast and *** new data acquisition system is tested in laboratory,the speed of the system can reach more than 1500 frame/s at the 100kHz sine wave injecting signal,even faster at higher frequency;the Signal-to-Noise ratio of the system can reach above 73dB.
