Microbes contribute to geochemical cycles in the *** also play important roles in biodegradation and bioremediation of contaminated environments,and have great potential in energy conversion and *** to date,at least 150 genomes of non-pathogenic microbes have been sequenced,of which,the majority are bacteria from various environments or of industrial *** emerging field 'metagenomics' in combination with the high-throughput sequencing technology offers opportunities to discover new functions of microbes in the environment on a large scale,and has become the 'hot spot' in the field of environmental *** genomes of bacteria from various extreme environments,including high temperature,high and low pressure,and extreme acidic regions,have been sequenced by researchers in {2.,leading to the discovery of metabolic pathways,genetic functions and new enzymes,which are related to the niches those bacteria *** results were published in Nature,PNAS,Genome Research and other top international *** the meantime,several groups in {2. have started 'metagenomics' *** outcomes of these researches are expected to generate a considerable number of novel findings,taking Chinese researchers to the frontier of genomics for environmental and industrial microorganisms.

To meet the market requirements for Flexible Transf er Line (FTL), which consists of modular NC machining tools of high quality and co st saving, the methodologies and technologies of client-oriented FTL rapid resp onse schematic design CAPP-based, one of the key techniques, are presented in t his paper. In order to achieve this purpose, an integrated system for integrated design of CAD/CAPP/FTL with box-type parts is realized. In this paper, firstly the theory of the conceptual design of FTL based on CAPP is established and the software architecture is developed. The global-domain pr oduct model is put forward to meet with data representation. After the manufactu ring feature is analyzed and decomposed for machining operations, the feature-b ased part unified data model object-oriented is built. Secondly the knowledge- based CAPP system data model is established. The process planning unit model is formed by work element (WE), which is tool-cell based function abstraction meth od, and has unified layers with respect to designing and manufacturing. With WEs through dynamic response and simultaneous structure in process planning, the pr inciple solution for CAPP function system can be implemented. Lastly the mapping from process domain to module design domain is built. The unidirectional select ion process based on fuzzy matching technology is easily dealt with computer. Th e algorithm of decision with fuzzy synthetic evaluation method and technology is applied to estimate the feasibility of the results in local working procedure o f modular NC machine tools and make decision of designs in overall FTL, which co nsists of many different factors. The example shows that the rapid response desi gn in bidding-based FTL scheme design is realized.

Adsorption and Insecticidal Activity of Toxin from Bacillus thuringiensis on Rectorite

The adsorption and desorption of the toxin from Bacillus thuringiensis strain WG-001 on rectorite were studied at different toxin and/or rectorite concentrations, pH values and temperatures. The insecticidal activity of the adsorbed toxin was evaluated by determining the lethal concentration to kill 50% of the larvae of Heliothis armigera （LC50）. The adsorption of the toxin on rectorite in sodium carbonate buffer （pH 9） reached equilibrium within 0.5-1.0 h and the adsorption isotherm of the toxin followed the Langmuir equation （R^2.〉 0.99）. In the pH range from 9 to 11 （carbonate buffer）, the adsorbed toxin decreased with increasing pH. The adsorption amounts decreased with increasing rectorite：toxin ratio. The adsorption was not significantly affected by the temperature between 10 and 50 ℃. The X- ray diffraction analysis indicated occurrence of the intercalation of the rectorite by the toxin. The infrared absorption spectrum showed that the binding of the toxin did not alter its structure. The LC50 wlues of the adsorbed toxin were smaller than those of the free toxin. The rectorite protected the toxin from ultraviolet irradiation damage. The desorption of the adsorbed toxin in water ranged from 37.5% to 56.4% and from 2..4% to 41.8% in a carbonate buffer. The desorption percentage also decreased with increasing rectorite：toxin ratio.

The inclusion complexes of rutin/sulfobutylether-β-cyclodextrin（SBE-β-CD） were prepared by grinding,co-precipitation and ultrasonic method and then identified with differential scanning calorimetry（DSC） and UV-visible spectrophotometry（UV） .The molar ratio 1∶ 1 of rutin to SBE-β-CD in the complex was confirmed by phase solubility studies,and the dissolutions of rutin/SBE-β-CD were investigated by UV. The dissolution of rutin included in the complex showed significant increases in aqueous *** rutin/SBE-β-CD inclusion complex exhibited unique physical characteristics that are different from rutin.

[Objective] The aim was to study the optimization of bio-emulsifier production by Geobacillus ***2.based on response surface methodology.[Method] Firstly,single factor experiment was conducted to find out the main medium components influencing bio-emulsifier production by Geobacillus ***2.and then response surface model was established by using response surface methodology and Design-Expert 7.0,so as to optimize the fermentation medium for bio-emulsifier production by Geobacillus ***2.[Result] Glucose,KH2.O4 and K2.PO4 were the main impact factors of bio-emulsifier production by Geobacillus ***2.and its optimal fermentation medium was composed of 68 g/L glucose,2.g/L NaNO3,5.03 g/L KH2.O4,1.36 g/L K2.PO4,0.2.g/L MgSO4·7H2.,0.02.g/L FeSO4·7H2.,0.01 g/L CaCl2.2.2. and 2.ml microelement *** the optimal conditions,the measured emulsifying activity of bio-emulsifier (67.0%) was close to predictive value (66.7%) and increased by 2.% compared with previous value before optimization.[Conclusion] Response surface methodology was applicable to the optimization of fermentation medium of bio-emulsifier production by Geobacillus ***2.and its optimal result was consistent with actual result.

Broth recycling is a favorable way to make the most of nutrients in culture medium and to minimize the discharge of waste water from the fermentation *** this study,the recycling of the effluent broth after the collection of Nostoc flagelliforme cells and polysaccharides was examined in consecutive batch fermentations with and without new nutrient elements *** flagelliforme cells grew well in consecutive batch fermentations with broth recycling for three cycles and there are no significant differences in cell growth rate and polysaccharide’s accumulation when nutrient elements equivalent to 50% of the BG-11 culture medium were supplemented into the recycling broth after each cycle of ***,the cell growth rate and the polysaccharide’s accumulation decreased distinctly and chlorisis of cells took place in the 3rd run of the consecutive batch fermentations without new nutrient elements *** the latter occasion,the content of inorganic nutrients in fermentation broth after three cycles of fermentation decreased to a considerable low extent,thus the influence of discharging fermentation broth on environment can be *** a conclusion,the broth recycling is a promising method for improving the utilization efficiency of culture medium and lowering the waste water discharge.

Organic sulfur in high sulfur petroleum coke was treated as the S source for synthesis of ZnS photocatalyst. Experimental results showed that with ball milling and subsequent heating treatment, ZnS compound could be successfully synthesized and showed considerable photocatalysis activity for decomposing industrial pollutants. The concentration of methyl orange or ethylene blue may be lowered to less than 5% after being decomposed by the synthesized-ZnS photocatalysis. Results of this study suggested a potential technique of turning high sulfur petroleum cokes from industrial wastes into useful products for environment improvement.
