Packing problem has been proved to be an NP-hard problem. Many algorithms such as simulation annealing algorithm, genetic algorithm and other heuristic algorithms have been proposed to solve twodimensional and three-dimensional packing problem. To solve the cube packing problem with time schedule, this paper first introduces some concepts such as packing level, space distance and average neighbor birth order and then proposes a greedy algorithm. The algorithm tries every feasible corner greedily to calculate the space utilization, packing level, space distance, average neighbor birth order of this placement, and chooses the best placement according to these criteria. Theoretical analysis indicates that the time complexity of this algorithm is O(A2B2C2T 2n5). The experiments show that the average space utilization of non-guillotine cutting test cases is 98.81%, and the average space utilization of guillotine cutting test cases achieves 99.87%. Furthermore, optimal solutions of more than half cases are achieved by this algorithm. The experimental results show that this algorithm can solve the problem of cube packing with time schedule effectively and effciently.

The design of DNA sequences is one of the most practical and important research topics in DNA computing. We adopt taboo search algorithm and improve the method for the systematic design of equal-length DNA sequences, which can satisfy certain combinatorial and thermodynamic constraints. Using taboo search algorithm, our method can avoid trapping into local optimization and can nd a set of good DNA sequences satisfying required constraints.

＜正＞Transductive inference is well suited for text categorization tasks with an enormous amount of unlabeled data in addition to a small number of labeled data. We present here a new transductive support vector machine approach for text categorization in order to make use of the large amount of unlabeled data efficiently. In our experiments the performance of transductive methods greatly exceeds that of conventional SVM. Experimental results also show that our algorithm outperforms Joachims’ TSVM, especially when there is a significant deviation between the distribution of training and test data.

Renewable energy,such as wind and solar energy,may vary signifi cantly over time and locations depending on the weather and the climate *** leads to the supply uncertainty in the electricity(power) market with renewable energy integrated to power *** this paper,electricity in the market is classified into two types:stablesupply electricity(SSE) and unstablesupply electricity(USE).We investigate the investment and pricing strategies under the electricity supply uncertainty in wholesale and retail electricity *** particular,our model combines the wholesale and retail market and capture the dominant players,i.e.,consumers,power plant(power operator),and electricity *** derive the market behaviors of these players,we formulate the market decision problems as a multistage Stackelberg *** solving the game model,we obtain the optimal,with closedform,wholesale investment and retail pricing strategy for the *** also obtain the energy supplier's best price mechanism numerically under certain *** fi nd the price of SSE being about 1.4 times higher than that of USE will benefi t energy supplieroptimally,under which power plant's optimal strategy of investing is to purchase USE about 4.5 times much more than SSE.

＜正＞This paper presents the nonlinear control of a small unmanned tandem helicopter. Based on the 12.states nonlinear mathematical model of the small unmanned tandem helicopter, using the forced singular perturbation theory, the complicated dynamic system is divided into two reduced order subsystems, the slow dynamic subsystem and the fast dynamic subsystem. With the dynamic inversion theory, the nonlinear control laws of these two subsystems are designed respectively. The simulation results indicate that this control scheme is suitably.

The essential characteristic of DNA computation is its massive parallelism in obtaining and managing information. With the develop- ment of molecular biology technique, the eld of DNA computation has made a great progress. By using an advanced biochip technique, laboratory-on-a-chip, a new DNA computing model is presented in the paper to solve a simple timetabling problem, which is a special ver- sion of the optimization problems. It also plays an important role in education and other industries. With a simulated biological experiment, the result suggested that DNA computation with lab-on-a-chip has the potential to solve a real complex timetabling problem.

R-calculus is an inference system for deducing all possible changes when a theory is refuted by the facts. In this paper, we try to eliminate the cut rule in R-calculus by modifying the existing rules and by introducing new rules. The result is the R-calculus without the cut rule, which still preserves the reachability, soundness and completeness as R-calculus does. R-calculus without the cut rule is a formal inference system of logical connective symbols and quantifier symbols solely. It can serve as the theoretical foundation of the automation of revision calculus.

We present the wavelet depth-frequency analysis and variable-scale frequency cycle analysis methods to study sedimentary cycles. The spectrum analysis, variable-scale frequency cycle analysis, and wavelet depth-frequency analysis methods are mainly discussed to distinguish sedimentary cycles of different levels. The spectrum analysis method established the relationship between the spectrum characteristics and the thickness and number of sedimentary cycles. Both the variable-scale frequency cycle analysis and the wavelet depth-frequency analysis are based on the wavelet transform. The variable-scale frequency cycle analysis is used to obtain the relationship between the periodic changes of frequency in different scales and sedimentary cycles, and the wavelet depth-frequency analysis is used to obtain the relationship between migration changes of frequency energy clusters and sedimentary cycles. We designed a soft-ware system to process actual logging data from the Changqing Oilfield to analyze the sedimentary cycles, which verified the effectiveness of the three methods, and good results were obtained.
