The topography of material surface has important influence on cell behavior and physiological functions. Groove-like pattern has drawn much attention among various patterns, due to the phenomenon of "contact guidance" induced by this kind of topography. This review mainly focuses on "contact guidance" formation as well as its influence on cell behavior and physiological effects. The possible mechanisms of "contact guidance" formation were discussed. The research trend and the potential applications were also suggested.

The effect of tin on synthesis of Ti3AlC2.by spark plasma sintering （SPS） from TiC/Ti/Al powders was investigated. X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） were used for phase identification and microstructure evaluation. The experimental results show that addition of tin can considerably accelerate the synthesis reaction of Ti3AlC2.and fully dense, essentially single-phase polycrystalline Ti3AlC2.could be successfully obtained by sintering 2.iC/1Ti/1Al/0.2.n powders at 12.0-12.0 ℃ under a pressure of 30 MPa. SEM images show that Ti3AlC2.samples in about 2.5 μm thick and 10-2.μm long platelets can be obtained. The fracture toughness and flexural strength of Ti3AlC2.were 6.5±0.2.MPa·m^1/2.and 560±10 MPa, respectively.

The chemical composition and mineral structure of fluorgypsum as well as its harm to application in cement were elaborately analyzed. The primary fluorgypsum was modified and its applications in cement＇s production were studied. The technological flow chart of preparing modified fluorgypsum was given. Experimental results indicate that hydration ratio the modified fluorgypsum through adding compound additive for 14d is about 70%. The modified fluorgypsum as cement retarder has certain stimulation to fly ash and increases the strength of compound cement. In addition, its adding amount is lower than that of natural gypsum. The modified fluorgypsum is a good substitute for natural gypsum.

By using the variational method and anneal simulation, we study in this paper the self-trapped magnetic polaron (STMP) in two-dimensional anti-ferromagnetic material and the bound magnetic polaron (BMP) in ferromagnetic material. Schwinger angular momentum theory is applied to changing the problem into a coupling problem of carriers and two types of Bosons. Our calculation shows that there are single-peak and multi-peak structures in the two-dimensional STMP. For the ferromagnetic material, the properties of the two-dimensional BMP are almost the same as that in one-dimensional case; but for the anti-ferromagnetic material, the two-dimensional STMP structure is much richer than the one-dimensional case.

Relationship between Retrographical and Physical Properties of Aggregates

The relationship between petrographical and physical properties of limestone, basalt, granite and gneiss was investigated. Petrographical data were quantified from polished thin sections with a polarising microscope to determine the modal composition. The properties of resistance to fragmentation and abrasion were determined by Los Angeles abrasion test and crushing test. The shape characteristic was measured by Flakiness index test. The experimental results indicate that abundance of fineto medium-grained minerals （especially of plagioclase, quartz and feldspar） are prime, and strong micrographic intergrowth texture with interlocking grain boundaries have the great positive influence on the physical properties. It is also indicated that petrographical properties and surface texture of rocks can decide the potentiality of rocks as raw materials with high quality on resisting fragmentation and abrasion. Analysis of Integration of petrographical data and mechanical properties is ideal for the selection of aggregates used in asphalt concrete.

The strength loss mechanism of the phosphate bonded sand mold/core was studied. The morphology and composition of phosphate membrane on the surface of sands was analyzed with electron probe X-ray microanalyzer. Results show that magnesium causes cracks in cured phosphate membrane and results in the decrease of sand molds/cores strength. However, the addition of magne-sium significantly enhanced hygroscopy resistance of phosphate membrane. In addition, the phosphate binder added with the magnesium modifier has more rapid hardening reaction speed compared that without or with low magnesium binder. It can be concluded that the phosphate binder with the addition of magnesium modifier is favorably used in high humid and cold circumstance.

Advances in quantum computers pose great threats on the currently used public key cryptographic algorithms such as RSA and ECC. As a promising candidate secure against attackers equipped with quantum computational power, multivariate public key cryptosystems (MPKCs) have attracted increasing attention in recently years. Unfortunately, the existing MPKCs can only be used as a multivariate signature scheme, and it remains unknown how to construct an efficient MPKC enabling secure encryption. Furthermore, some multivariate signature schemes have been shown insecure in recent years, and it is also not trivial to build MPKC which can serve as a secure signature scheme. By employing the basic MQ-trapdoors, this paper proposes a novel MPKC and shows how it can be used as a multivariate signature scheme and a multivariate encryption scheme, respectively. The goal is achieved by incorporating our new hash authentication techniques and some modification methods such as the Shamir's minus method. Thorough analysis shows that our schemes are secure and efficient. Our MPKC gives a positive response to the challenges in multivariate public key cryptography.
