Surface greenness reflects the situation of vegetation *** index calculated from the Red and Near Infrared bands of remote sensing images,whose values indicate the level of photosynthetic activity,is monotonically related to surface greenness when vegetation canopy does not fully cover the background *** for desert regions,vegetation index is positively correlated with vegetation ***,vegetation index can be used to study the change in greenness of desert *** study collected MODIS Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) data from 2.00 to 2.10 and analyzed their change over china in this *** results showed that an increasing trend of NDVI occurred over 66.84% (OLS fitting) or 64.2.% (LAD fitting) of china,indicating that china's greenness is increasing ***,desertification of china *** showing large increase in greenness are found in Shaanxi,Shanxi,Ningxia,Henan,Shandong,Qinghai,and Gansu while regions with large decrease in greenness are found in Northeast Inner Mongolia,South Tibet,Jiangsu,and *** of Qinghai,Gansu,Xinjiang and South Tibet could probably be driven by climate *** of greenness in Northeast Inner Mongolia was related to agricultural *** of greenness in Jiangsu and Shanghai was related to rapid *** factors did not exhibit obvious correspondence to the large increase in greenness in Shaanxi,Shanxi,Ningxia and Gansu,indicating that the changes might have been caused by human *** reduction of desert areas in china could probably have been caused by human management and protection at the national scale.

It is significant to automatically detect and resolve the incompliance in security *** existing works in this field focus on compliance verification,and few of them provide approaches to automatically correct the incompliant security *** paper proposes a novel approach to automatically transform a given security policy into a compliant *** security policy Π and delegation policy M declared by logic programs,the approach automatically rewrites Π into a new one ΠM which is compliant with M and is readable by the *** prove that the algorithm is sound and complete under noninterference ***,we show that the security policy query evaluation algorithm with conflict and unsettlement resolution still works very well on Π*** approach is automatic,so it doesn't require a administrator with excess *** this sense,our proposal can help us to save much manpower resource in security management and improves the security assurance abilities.

Ecological rebuilding and land reclamation in surface mines in Shanxi Province, china

It is well known that the mining industry produces a large amount of derelict land, and causes pollution of water loss and soil erosion as well as other environmental damage in china. As land is under pressure in china, it is now {2. to restore or reclaim land despoiled by mining, the aim being to develop sustainable and healthy arable land ecosystems. This paper outlines the principles and approaches of ecological restoration, which have been adopted in Shanxi Province with reference to three typical surface mines. In the research, the principles of ecological engineering and ecological succession are considered as the critical theories of ecological restoration in mine degraded land. Meanwhile, the paper made a comparative research on main links of ecological rebuilding in three surface mines in Shanxi Province, which include new land construction, treatment of toxic substances, control of soil erosion, fertility management, irrigation, ecological planning and the establishment of legislation systems. As the research demonstrated, for successful restoration, new land construction is the fundamental framework, but it must be integrated with ecological engineering including ecological planning, the control of soil erosion and vegetation establishment and ecosystem creation in order to optimise land productivity and soil fertility. In addition, the establishment of the legislation systems and organization of administration are also indispensable aspects of ecological rebuilding in mined land.

The Impacts of Permafrost Change on NPP and Implications:A Case of the Source Regions of Yangtze and Yellow Rivers

This paper studies the relationship between net primary productivity (NPP) and annual average air temperature (GT) at 0cm above ground in permafrost regions by using revised Chikugo NPP model,cubic spline interpolating functions,and non-linear regression *** source regions of the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers were selected as the research *** illustrate that:(1) There is significant non-linear relationship between NPP and GT in various typical years;(2. The maximum value of NPP is 6.17,5.87,7.73,and 5.41 DM·t·hm-2.·a-1 respectively,and the corresponding GT is 7.1,10.0,2..2.and 8.9 o C respectively in 1980,1990,2.00 and 2.07;(3) In 1980,the sensitivity of NPP to GT is higher than in 1990,2.00 and *** tendency shows that the NPP presents change from fluctuation to an adaptation process over time;(4) During 1980～2.07,the accumulated NPP was reduced to 8.05,and the corresponding carrying capacity of theoretical livestock reduced by 11%;(5) The shape of the demonstration region of ecological compensation system,livelihood support system,and science appraisal system in the source regions of Yangtze and Yellow Rivers are an important research for increasing the adaptation capacity and balancing protection and development.

While it is entering the mid-period of industrialization and its GDP per capita is over $1,000, china's demand on resources and energy will increase in order to support its socio-economic development. Due to the limited resources it has, china is likely to see greater reliance on international resources and greater pressure on the environment. It is timely that {2. Government strives to establish resource efficient society and develop circular economy (recycling-based economy). The movement will explore a win-win model of economic development and environmental protection, and make significant contribution to global sustainable development. A broad overview of domestic and international experiences in cleaner production, recycling-based economy as well as 'green economy' development suggests that china has a different perspective and priority toward recycling-based economy. In fact, china faces numerous constraints in promoting clean production and recycling-based economy, i.e., institutions, management, policy, technologies, etc. Recycling-based economy requires a comprehensive approach. It requires changes of mindset and awareness. More importantly, it requires resolving a series of theoretical and practical issues. Currently, china needs to focus on shifting away from extensive growth model and move into continuous promotion of cleaner production, improvement of resources efficiency, introduction of comprehensive resources use and waste re-use. At the same time, china needs to undertake trial implementation of recycling-based economy in selected industries and gradually move into resource efficient society and recycling-based economy.

ANALYSIS OF A PRODUCTION-INVENTORY MODEL WITH ERLANGIAN DEMAND ARRIVAL PROCESS

We study a production-inventory system having a machine, a storage facility. The demand for the product is governed by an Erlangian demand arrival process, where demand sizes are independent and identically distributed random variables. A two-criticalnumber policy (m, M) is used to control a machine's setups and shutdowns, namely, a machine is shut down whenever the inventory level reaches M, and resumes operating only when the inventory level falls below the critical number m(m ≤ M). We obtain the steady state distribution of the inventory process and some performance measures of the process.

How to protect arable land in the process of economic development and urbanization is a critical issue in china. In this paper, an attempt is made to analyze the situation of arable land change in china and it's relationship with population growth, economic development and urbanization. In depth analysis is also made in different regions. Forecasting is conducted to show the trend of arable land change in china based on the results of correlation analysis. Some suggestions are put forward for the policy making of reasonable utilization and protection of arable land in the future.
