Effects of 4-dimension variational data assimi-lation (4DVAR) with multifold observed data on the typhoontrack forecast are studied, by using the MM5V3 model, theRTTOVS-5 model and their adjoint models. The data usedfor assimilation include large-scale background fields data,bogus data, cloud-derived wind data, satellite inverse data,and high resolution infrared radiation sounder data (HIRS).There are 5 typhoon cases are used to perform the numericalexperiments and assimilation experiments. The numericalresults show that with 4DVAR the initial fields can be greatlyimproved and the initial typhoon structure can be clearlydescribed.

Therapeutic angiogenesis induced by human hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) gene in rat myocardial ischemia models

In order to investigate the feasibility of myo-cardial ischemia gene therapy, we cloned human hepatocyte growth factor gene from human placenta cDNA library by the RT-PCR method. Recombination adenovirus Ad-HGF was constructed by the method of co-transfection and ho-mologous recombination of plasmids in 293 cells. Ad-HGF was amplified in 293 cells and purified through CsCl density gradient centrifugation. Ad-HGF could be expressed in rat primary myocardial cells and HGF secreted into the culture media, which was tested by ELISA. The distribution and persistence of adenovirus in rat were investigated by green fluorescence protein as a report gene. In vivo we found that intramyocardial administration of Ad-HGF could induce angiogenesis in rat myocardium after ligation of coronary artery. The results suggested that Ad-HGF was effective in vitro and in vivo, and the data for designing human trial of gene therapy—— mediated cardiac angiogenesis were pro-vided.

The relations of variation of lattice stress to shape, peak concentrations of the P atom depth profile and Sb doses of P+Sb dual implantation were studied in high energy P implantation silicon. The experimental results show that the lattice stress in P-implanted silicon obviously increases with increasing ion dose. The stress of P-implanted silicon with the dose of 2×1013/cm2 is 2.2 times greater than at a dose of 3.6×1012/cm2. The stress decreases rapidly as the annealing time *** is very interesting that the stress has a negative value when the concentration of P atoms in the implanted layer is below 6×1016/cm3, whereas the stress becomes positive when the concentration is greater than 6×16/cm3. The stress increases rapidly with increasing Sb ion dose after P implantation. The stress has a positive value before annealing. If the Sb dose is below 1 ×1016/cm2, the stress is negative after annealing,and it is positive when the Sb dose is higher than 1×1016/cm2. The stress is close to zero for a Sb implantation dose of 1×1016/cm2. The best compensation dose of Sb to P implantation dose of 3×1016/cm2 is 1×1016/cm2.

Solar ultraviolet radiation reaching the ground can be reduced due to light scattering of atmospheric aerosols. Aerosol pollution has led to the decrease in biological active UV-B radiation by about 45% and 10% in city and rural areas, respectively. In populated areas, effect of aerosol scattering on UV-B radiation may offset the increased amount of UV-B caused by ozone depletion, but in clean areas such as two poles, ozone depletion may have great damage effects on ecosystems.

In previous studies, we found that EDRF2 was an erythroid differentiation related factor, whose expression was markedly upregulated during erythroid differentiation. It suggested that this factor played a role in erythropoiesis. By using rapid amplification of cDNA ends technology, we cloned EDRF2 gene 5’-and 3’-cDNA ends successfully. Transfection and Northern blot analysis demonstrated that EDRF2 inhibited mRNA expression of a-globin gene, while did not regulate γ-globin gene expression. Gel shift assay confirmed that DNA-binding activity of erythroid specific transcription factors GATA-1, NF-E2 and AP1 was not affected by either forced overexpression or artificial down-regulation of EDRF2 gene in K562 cells. However, we detected that the negative regulator of expression of GATA-1 transcription factor was increased in EDRF2 overexpressed K562 cells. These results strongly suggested that EDRF2 was involved in a-globin gene expression and erythroid differentiation and served as a negative regulator of

以地铁隧道火灾为研究对象,通过1∶8缩尺模型试验和数值模拟分析夹带火焰的烟气顶棚射流的温度特性,为地铁隧道火灾的防灾减灾提供参考。假定火源位于列车中部,燃烧强度是经过相似变换的等量荷载。火焰直接撞击顶棚并向上、下游扩展。考虑隧道内热辐射效应,得到在不同燃料用量下火焰顶棚射流温度的时变规律与空间分布特征。结果表明:燃料的多少对火焰顶棚射流在燃烧时间内的温度时变曲线的变化趋势影响不大,燃烧达到稳定的时间非常接近,但稳定状态的温度明显不同;火焰区上方顶棚射流烟气的最高温度与燃料液面的高度有关,试验中出现在距隧道顶0.18H处,而不是纯烟气顶棚射流给出的0.01H的区域内;列车上方及列车首尾附近的火焰顶棚射流温度沿隧道纵向呈线性衰减,且衰减速率不随时间变化,而不是纯烟气顶棚射流的指数衰减形式。在一定的高度以下,火焰顶棚射流的温度迅速降低,存在温度较低的安全区域适合于人员疏散。

The direct and indirect effect of ICT on energy conservation and emission reduction is described. The energy consumption per unit GDP in the ICT industry is lower than that in other industries. The application of ICT in such fi elds as industrial design, manufacturing, management, logistics, sales and service can be helpful for energy conservation and emission reduction in the industrial and transportations industry; however, the issue of energy waste and environmental pollution caused by voluminous deployment of ICT products should never be overlooked. This paper presents the lat- est development of communications products in energy conservation and exemplifi es the roles of ICT in energy conservation and consumption reduction. The issue of electromagnetic radiation of ICT products and the recycling and reuse of e-wastes are explored.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), commonly known as primary liver cancer, is a major cause of malignant tumors and cancer-related deaths in china, accounting for approximately 85% of all cancer cases in the country. Several guidelines have been used to diagnose and treat liver cancer. However, these guidelines provide a broad definition for classifying advanced liver cancer, with an emphasis on a singular approach, without considering treatment options for individual patients. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a comprehensive and practical expert consensus, specifically for china, to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of HCC using the Delphi method. The classification criteria were refined for Chinese patients with HCC, and the corresponding optimal treatment regimen recommendations were developed. These recommendations took into account various factors, including tumor characteristics, vascular tumor thrombus grade, distant metastasis, liver function status, portal hypertension, and the hepatitis B virus replication status of patients with primary HCC, along with treatment prognosis. The findings and recommendations provide detailed, scientific, and reasonable individualized diagnosis and treatment strategies for clinicians.

Synchronous or quasi-synchronous sea-land-air observations were conducted using advanced sea ice, atmospheric and marine instruments during china's First Arctic Expedition. *** on the Precious data from the expedition, it was found that in the Arctic Ocean, most part of which is covered with ice or is mixed with ice, various kinds of sea fog formed such as advection fog, radiation fog and vapor fog. Each kind he its own characteristic and mechanics of creation. In the southern part of the Arctic Ocean, due to the sufficient warm and wet flow there, it is favorable for advection fog to form, which is dense and lasts a long time. On ice cap or vast floating ice, due to the strong radiation cooling effect, stable radiating fog is likely to form. In floating ice area there forms vapor fog with the appearance of masses of vapor from a boiling pot, which is different from short-lasting land fog. The study indicates that the reason why there are many kinds of sea fog form in the Arctic Ocean is because of the complicated cushion and the consequent sea-air interaction caused by the sea ice distribution and its unique physical characteristics. Sea fog is the atmospheric phenomenon of sea-air heat exchange. Especially, due to the high albedo of ice and snow surface, it is diffcult to absorb great amount of solar radiation during the polar days. Besides, ice is a poor conductor of heat; it blocks the sea-air heat exchange. The sea-air exchange is active in floating ice area where the ice is broken. The sea sends heat to the atmosphere in form of latent heat; vapor fog is a way of sea-air heat exchange influencing the climate and an indicator of the extent of the exchange. The study also indicates that the sea also transports heat to the atmosophere in form of sensible heat when vapor fog occurs.
