A study on energy transfer among chlorophylls（Chls）in the trimeric unit of the major light-harvesting complex Ⅱ（LHC Ⅱ）from Bryopsis corriculan,was carried out using time-correlated singlephoton *** the chlorophyll Q region of LHC Ⅱ,six molecules characterized as Chlb62.,Chlb646,Chlb652.54,657,Chla664666,Chla674677.680and Chla682.83were discriminated according to their absorption spectrumand fluorescence emission ***,excited by pulsed light of 62. nm,fluorescence kinetics spectrain the chlorophyll Q region were *** accordance with the principles of fluorescence kinetics,thesekinetics data were analyzed with a multi-exponential *** constants on energy transfer were *** overwhelming percentage of energy transfer among chlorophylls undergoes a process longer than 97picoseconds（ps）,which shows that,before transferring energy to another Chl,the excited Chl might convertenergy to vibrations of a lower state with different multiplicity（intersystem crossing）.Energy transfer at thelevel of approximately 10 ps was also obtained,which was interpreted as the excited Chls may go throughinternal conversion before transferring energy to another *** with a higher standard deviation,timeconstants at the femtosecond level can not be entirely excluded,which can be attributed to the ultrafastprocess of direct energy *** to the arrangement and direction of the dipole moment of Chls inLHC Ⅱ,the probability of these processes is *** fluorescence lifetimes of Chlb652.54,657,Chla664666,Chla674677.680and Chla682.83were determined to be 1.44ns,1.43 ns,636 ps and 713 ps,*** of energy dissipation in the pathway of fluorescence emission were no more than 40% in thetrimeric unit of LHC Ⅱ.These results are important for a better understanding of the relationship between thestructure and function of LHC Ⅱ.

This paper discusses admissibilities of estimators in a class of linear models,which include the following common models:the univariate and multivariate linear models,the growth curve model,the extended growth curve model,the seemingly unrelated regression equations,the variance components model,and so *** is proved that admissible estimators of functions of the regression coefficient β in the class of linear models with multivariate t error terms,called as Model II,are also ones in the case that error terms have multivariate normal distribution under a strictly convex loss function or a matrix loss *** is also proved under Model II that the usual estimators of β are admissible for p 2.with a quadratic loss function,and are admissible for any p with a matrix loss function,where p is the dimension of β.

The vortex self-organization is investigated in this paper by four groups of numerical experiments within the framework of quasi-geostrophic model, and based on the experimental results two types of possible mechanisms for vortex self-organization are suggested. The meso-scale to-pography may enable separated vortices to merge into a larger scale vortex; and the interaction of meso-γ and meso-β scale systems may make separated vortices to self organize a typhoon-like vor-tex circulation.

Using ammonium sulphate precipitation, Blue-Sepharose CL-6B, Phenyl-Sepharose CL-4B, prophenoloxidase (PPO) was isolated and purified from hemolymph of Ostrinia furnacalis larvae. This zy- mogen was a heterodimer, and composed of two subunits with the relative molecular mass ranging from 66.2. kD to 97.4 kD determined by SDS-PAGE. Western blotting and indirect immunofluorescence test showed that PPO was present in integument, hemolymph plasma and cell membrane of granular hemocytes and oenocytoids of O. furnacalis larvae.

The problem of auto-focusing imaging of 2. dielectric objects imbedded in a lossy earth is *** Born approximation,the half-space spectrum Green's function is employed to formulate the half-space imaging algorithm from multi-frequency and multi-monostatic *** the fast Fourier transform can be used to achieve real-time imaging in a very short computing *** the proposed algorithm has avoided the time-consuming regularization of a large-scale ill-posed matrix,the computing time can be greatly cut *** by the principle of time reversed imaging and the minimum entropy criterion,an auto-focusing imaging algorithm is presented to remove the image degradation caused by estimated error of the unknown dielectric parameters of the *** results have shown that the proposed algorithm can provide good quality focused images for both low-contrast and high-contrast targets in a short computing time despite the inaccurate estimation of the earth electric *** proposed algorithm can be extended to three-dimensional case naturally.

Based on the signal model of fixed-receiver bistatic SAR, this paper analyzes the characteristics of azimuth-variant, which includes variation of range migration curve and variation of Doppler rate caused by different azimuth position of targets. Then, an extended nonlinear chirp scaling (NLCS) algorithm is proposed, with its flowchart and phase compensation functions being provided. Simulation results show that the algorithm is available for the characteristics of azimuth-variant of fixed-receiver bistatic SAR, and good focused radar images could be acquired.

Floating population is a special population group in china resulting from the implementation of household registration system. This paper uses a set of floating population survey data, population censuses data and statistical data to analyze the increase and influence of floating population on the urban population situations in Beijing. It is found that Beijing has experienced a rapid increase of floating population since the 1990s and that the increase of this group has become the key factor of the current population expansion in the city. Its distribution in the urban regions intensified and extended the suburbanization process of the capital. In addition, the population structures of sex, age, education and employment in Beijing have changed to some extent due to the influx of floating population.

Expeditions to Muztagata (in the eastern Pamirs) during the summer seasons of2.02.and 2.03 collected precipitation samples and measured their oxygen isotopes. The δ^(18)O inprecipitation displays a wide range, varying from -17.40per thousand to +1.33per thousand inJune—September 2.02.and from -2..31per thousand to +4.59per thousand in May—August 2.03. Theδ^(18)O in precipitation correlates with the initial temperature of precipitation during theobserving periods. The positive correlation between δ^(18)O and temperature suggests that δ^(18)Ocan be used as an indicator of temperature in this region. The δ^(18)O values in fresh-snow samplescollected from two snow events at different elevations on the Muztagata Glacier show a strong''altitude effect'', with a ratio of nearly -0.40per thousand per 100 m from 5500 m to 7450 m.
