Based on a detailed analysis of differences between seismic data and well logs, we discuss the problem of matching seismic traces and well logs and present a new matching method based on event search in instantaneous phase which greatly improves seismic *** method is based on flattening events in instantaneous phase to compare the seismic traces to the well log traces with the same *** calculate the coefficients using the singular value decomposition method to extrapolate the well *** a result,the events in the seismic profile are continuous and match well with well *** apply this method to the Mao-2.well in Daqing Oilfield with good results.

Rapakivi granites and several small leucogabbroic and gabbroic bodies are located in the Rangnim Massif,North *** largest batholith in the Myohyang Mountains covers an area of 3.0 km and was intruded into Precambrian metamorphosed *** has a SHRIMP U-Pb zircon weighted mean Pb/Pb age of 1861±7 *** country rocks of rapakivi granites are Neoarchaean orthogneisses and Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic graphite-bearing metasedimentary rocks of granulite facies,and they are similar to those of the rapakivi granites and anorthosites exposed in South Korea and in the North china *** conclude that the three massifs in the Korean Peninsula commonly record an identical Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic anorogenic magmatic event,indicating that they have a common Precambrian basement with the North china Craton.

Owing to the internal relationship between material sources or mineralization ways and the difference ofmineralization micro-environments or the change of constraints. certain types of nonmetallic mineral depositsare regularly formed either simultaneously or in successive order under the control of certain association ofmineralization processes in a certain geotectonic environment, thus forming a minerogenetic series ofnonmetallic mineral deposits. The geological setting that controls the formation of minerogenetic series is mosttruly recorded in ore-bearing formations. while the mineralization processes which are associated or surely suc-cessive are the indispensable prerequisite for the formation of the various mineral deposits of a minerogeneticseries. Therefore, the minerogenetic series of nonmetallic mineral deposits can be classified according tomineral-bearing formations and mineralization processes. Based on available data. 13.minerogenetic series aredistinguished in china. The study of minerogenetic series may not only result in the enrichment of the theory ofmineral deposits but also help direct mineral prospecting and give guidance in the integrated development andutillization of mineral resources.

The quantitative assessment of geothermal water resources is important to the exploitation and utilization of geothermal resources. In the geothermal water systems the density of groundwater changes with the temperature, therefore the variations in hydraulic heads and temperatures are very complicated. A three-dimensional density-dependent model coupling the groundwater flow and heat transport is established and used to simulate the geothermal water flow in the karst aquifers in eastern Weibei, Shaanxi Province, {2.. The multilayered karst aquifer system in the study area is cut by some major faults which control the regional groundwater flow. In order to calibrate and simulate the effect of the major faults, each fault is discretized as a belt of elements with special hydrological parameters in the numerical model. The groundwater dating data are used to be integrated with the groundwater flow pattern and calibrate the model. Simulation results show that the calculated hydraulic heads and temperature fit with the observed data well.

It is intriguing whether the formation of granulite in an orogenic belt is related to magmatism and crustal *** Tongbai orogen is one of the particular areas in the Qinling-Tongbai-Dabie-Sulu orogen that contains both granulites and associated arc magmatic rocks,and thus is an optimal place to address this ***,the formation age and genesis of the granulites and their relations to the magmatic rocks have not yet been well *** situ LA(MC)-ICPMS U-Pb dating,and trace element and Lu-Hf isotope analyses were undertaken on zircon grains from gneiss,granulite,gabbro and granodiorite *** zircons in three granulite samples and a gneiss sample have core-rim *** cores have oval or rounded shapes,oscillatory zones,high Th/U ratios and variable U-Pb ages,suggesting a detrital *** youngest group of the detrital zircons yields a weighted mean pb/U age of(450-±5) Ma,which is interpreted as the maximum depositional age of their protoliths.A major age cluster is ca.450～490 Ma,corresponding to prolonged arc magmatism in the northern Tongbai and Qinling *** group of ages range from 660 to 950 Ma,implying that the Qinling Group

Xenotime is an ideal mineral for U-Th-Pb isotopic dating because of its relatively high U and Th contents,but typically low concentration of common *** characteristics,and the fact that it is widespread throughout various types of rocks,suggest that the U-Th-Pb dating of xenotime has broad *** of U-Pb dating on xenotime by ion microprobe(such as SHPJMP) have increased in recent years,whereas studies by laser ablation(LA)-ICP-MS are still *** this study,we developed a technique for U-Pb dating of xenotime using the 193.nm ArF laser-ablation system and Agilent 7500a *** evaluate the reliability of our method,a xenotime standard,BS-1,was analyzed and calibrated against another xenotime standard,*** weighted mean Pb/U ages of 510.1±5.2.Ma(2.,n = 2.),509.8±4.3.Ma(2.a,n = 2.) and 510.0±4.6 Ma(2.,n = 2.) were obtained using beam diameters of 16,2. and 3.μm,*** ages are identical to those determined by ID-TTMS method(weighted mean Pb/U age of 508.8±1.4 Ma),which supports the reliability of our LA-ICP-MS *** also analyzed xenotimes in leucogranites from South Tibet and granites from Xihuashan in southern china,and obtained accurate and precise ***,we observed systematic differences in Pb/U fractionation among xenotime,monazite and *** matrix-effect resulted in either under-correction or over-correction of fractionation,and thus led to inaccurate ***,a matrix -matched material is required for U-Pb dating of xenotime by LA-ICP-MS.

This study provides a reconstruction of the environmental evolution since 12. ka recorded by the lipid biomarkers of the C-C n-alkanes,the C-C n-alkan- 2.ones and the C-C n-alkanols isolated from the Tawan loess section,Northwest *** in paleoenvironment are reconstmcted from the values of the carbon preference index(CPI),the average chain length(ACL), the L/H(ratio of lower-molecular-weight to higher-molecular -weight homologues),the n-alkane C/C ratios,and the n-alkan-2.one C/C *** parameters indicate the dominance of grasses over the west Chinese Loess Plateau(CLP) during the late Pleistocene. Lower values of the CPI and the ACL values,respectively, indicate stronger microbial reworking of organic matter and changes in plant species,which are both indicative of a warmer-wetter ***,the fluctuations of environment recorded in the Tawan section exhibit ten phases that show obvious cycles between warm periods and cold *** study reveals that changes in the biomarker proxies agree well with changes in the magnetic susceptibility and grain size,and it indicates a huge potential for paleoenvironmental reconstructions by using the n-alkan-2.one and n-alkanol proxies.
