An improved approach to the efficient construction of and search operations in motion graphs

Motion graphs have been widely used as an effective technique in the synthesis of human *** synthesize well-formed motions,motion graphs require smooth transitions and good ***,the time and costs grow quadratically as the graph size *** this paper,we present a method to set up a hierarchical structure,called a structure *** coarse level of this graph models different motion categories and their transitions,and the fine level mainly captures different motion *** interpolation space method is used to improve the graph connectivity at the fine *** structure guides the establishment of a faster and more realistic graphical *** the building process,this structure also helps with searching the motion graph,by performing a traverse search and placing the findings into a direct look-up table or local search ***,when there is no direct link between the different motions,a navigation map is introduced to conduct an appropriate search path via a series of transition motion *** experimental results indicate that our approach could lower the computation time in construction and searching,while simultaneously providing a richer variety of motion styles.

Application of mesoscale modeling optimization to development of advanced materials

The rapid development of computer modeling in recent years offers opportunities for materials preparation in a more economic and efficient way. In the present paper, a practicable route for research and development of advanced materials by applying the visual and quantitative modeling technique on the mesoscale is introduced. A 3D simulation model is developed to describe the microstructure evolution during the whole process of deformation, recrystallization and grain growth in a material containing particles. In the light of simulation optimization, the long-term stabilized fine grain structures ideal for high-temperature applications are designed and produced. In addition, the feasibility, reliability and prospects of material development based on mesoscale modeling are discussed.

By introducing the distribution probability of structural units in austenite contain- ing alloying elements and considering its effects on phase transformation, this paper establishes a calculation model of distribution probability of structural units. A new valence electron structure (VES) parameter-transformation effect coefficient of alloying elements (HL), is defined and then studied both theoretically and ex- perimentally. The relationship between the parameter HL and the multiplying factor (the quenching capability factor) of alloying elements is studied. The results indi- cate that the two parameters (HL and the quenching capability factor) have the same variation characteristic and substance feature. Therefore, the multiplying factor virtually expresses the relative quantity of structural units in the alloying elements-containing austenite.

Effects of silver powder particle size on the microstructure and properties of Ag-Yb_2._3 electrical contact materials prepared by spark plasma sintering

mg-Yb2.3 electrical contact materials were fabricated by spark plasma sintefing （SPS）. The effects of silver powder particle size on the microstructure and properties of the samples were investigated. The surface morphologies of the sintered samples were examined by optical microscope （OM）, and the fracture morphologies were observed by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The physical and mechanical properties such as density, electrical resistivity, microhardness, and tensile strength were also tested. The results show that the silver powder particle size has evident effects on the sintered materials. Comparing with coarse silver powder （5 ktm）, homogeneous and fme microstmcture was obtained by fine silver powder （_〈0.5-1am）. At the same time, the electrical conductivity, microhardness, and tensile strength of the sin- tered samples with fine silver powder were higher than those of the samples with coarse silver powder. However, silver powder particle size has little influence on the relative densities, which of all samples （both by free and coarse silver powders） is more than 95%. The fracture characteristics are ductile.

Effect of Strain on the Electrical Resistance of Carbon Nanotube/Silicone Rubber Composites

Carbon nanotube （CNT） filled silicone rubber （SR） composites were synthesized by in situ *** effect of strain on the electrical resistance of the CNT/SR composites and the structure evolution of CNT networks during tensile deformation were *** results showed that the CNT/SR composites had high sensitivity of resistance-strain *** a wide strain range （0-12.%）,the change of resistivity could reach 107,which was closely associated with the evolution process of the conductive CNT-network *** volume expansion of the composites in the tensile process led to a gradual decrease in the volume fraction of CNTs with the strain *** CNT loading was lower than the percolation threshold,CNT network was in disconnected state with a rapid increase in electrical resistance of the ***,the CNT loading had remarkable effect on the sensitivity of resistance-strain response in the composites.

θ-PSO: a new strategy of particle swarm optimization

Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is an efficient, robust and simple optimization algorithm. Most studies are mainly concentrated on better understanding of the standard PSO control parameters, such as acceleration coefficients, etc. In this paper, a more simple strategy of PSO algorithm called θ-PSO is proposed. In θ-PSO, an increment of phase angle vector replaces the increment of velocity vector and the positions are decided by the mapping of phase angles. Benchmark testing of nonlinear func- tions is described and the results show that the performance of θ-PSO is much more effective than that of the standard PSO.

Thermochemical Evaluation of Combustion Synthesis of Al_2._3/B_4C Composite

The equilibrium phase and adiabatic temperature for combustion synthesis of Al_2._3/B_4C employing Al, B_2._3 and C as starting materials is analyzed by both conventional and CALPHAD method. The adiabatic temperature calculed by CALPHAD method is significantly lower than that obtained by conventional method. The CALPHAD calculation also reveals that the equilibrium phases presented at the adiabatic temperature are different to the desired composites. The adiabatic temperature in this system can be lowered by introducing Al_2._3 as diluents. The maximum amount of Al_2._3 that can be added to the system while maintain a self-sustaining combusion mode is 1.3 mol.

Effect of Lead Contents on the Properties of PMSZT Piezoelectric Ceramics

The effects of Pb content on crystallographic phase, microstructure, electric-properties of PMSZT piezoelectric ceramics were studied. The crystallographic phase and microstructure of the ceramics were examined by using X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The experimental result shows that the samples consist of a mixture of tetragonal and rhombohedral phases in the range of lead contents x=0.95-1.06, grains grow up homogeneously and the minimum value of Curie temperature was obtained with x-=1.02. With Pb content x〈l.02.or x〉1.02. the Curie temperature moves towards a high temperature. A well-situated electric-properties of ET33/E0 （1660）, d33 （344pC/N）, Kp （0.684）, Qm （2.50）,tan 3（0.0030） were obtained when lead content x=1.02.

Electrochemical Characteristic of Decarburization Reaction

The electrochemical mechanism of the reaction between Fe-C melts and CaO-SiO2.Al2.3-FeOx slag systems has been carried out. The experimental results suggest that the final content of carbon in melt increases as the partial oxygen pressure of gas decreases no matter whether there is electronic conductor or not. However, the final content of carbon in the system with electronic conductor is much lower than that without electronic conductor. It can be deduced that the transfer ability of oxygen in slag is dominated by electrons. When an electronic conductor exists, an easy pathway for the electrons is provided and the oxygen transfer rate is accelerated.

Spinning Deformation Criteria of Thin-walled Tubular Part with Longitudinal Inner Ribs

As a successive and local plastic deformation process, backward ball spinning was applied for the purpose of prodacing thin-walled tubular parts with longitudinal inner ribs. According to the local plastic deformation theoo,, the application of yield criterion to the spinning process and the influence of the radial spinning force component on the formability of inner ribs were analyzed. Based on yield criterion and plastic mechanics, the stable flow rule of metal material and forming criteria of the inner ribs were obtained aad conformed to the experimental results so as to contribute greatly to improving the ball spinning process and optimizing the process variables, such as the diameter of ball, the reduction in a pass and the wall thickness of tubular blank, which have a significant influenee on the formability of the inner ribs. The knowledge of the influence of the process variables such as the diameter of ball, the reduction in a pass and the wall thickness of tubular blank on the spinning process is essential to preventing the quality defects of the spun parts and obtaining the desired spun parts.
