Preparation of giant unilamellar CdTe quantum dot vesicles and their metabolic pathway in vivo

Glutathione (GSH) capped CdTe quantum dots (QDs) with photoluminescence quantum yields of 61% and the maximum emitting at 601.2 nm were prepared in water *** unilamellar CdTe quantum dot vesicles (GUVs-CdTe),with diameters larger than 1.5.μm,were obtained using lower-pressure evaporation techniques with soybean *** with other QD liposomes,the entrapment efficiency of GUVs-CdTe for QDs has been significantly improved to 86.3%.After GUVs-CdTe were injected into mice through the tail vein,the fluorescence microscopy of tissue sections showed that GUVs-CdTe could not pass through the blood-brain barrier and air-blood barrier,which were removed mostly by the reticuloendothelial system and were widely distributed in the spleen and the *** behavior is the same as the character of the metabolic pathway of giant unilamellar vesicles by intravenous injections in mice.

The use of high-permittivity(high-k) thin films as gate dielectrics is essential in the development of lowpower electronics,In this work,rare-earth thulium oxide(Tm_(2)O_(3)) thin films were prepared by a facile solution process and annealed at various temperatures from 400 to 700℃.The evolution of the physical and dielectric properties of Tm_(2)O_(3) thin film with annealing temperature was *** is demonstrated that the Tm_(2)O_(3) thin film annealed at 600℃ exhibits the optimal performance,including a low leakage current of 3×10^(-10) A/cm^(2),a large areal capacitance of 25. nF/cm^(2) at 100 Hz,and a high permittivity value of *** Tm_(2)O_(3) thin film as a gate insulator was integrated into the thin film transistor(TFT) employing In_(2)O_(3)-based semiconducting *** In_(2)O_(3) TFT with 600℃-annealed Tm_(2)O_(3) dielectric exhibits the superior perfo rmance,with a high I_(on)/I_(off) of 1.65.10^(7),a small subthre shold swing(SS) value of 0.2 V/dec,a V_(TH) of+1.8 V,and a mobility of 1.68 cm^(2)/(V·s).Furthermore,an inverter constructed by connecting the TFT with a resistor exhibits full-swing *** work provides a facile and appealing method for preparing the high-k Tm_(2)O_(3) thin films as alternative gate dielectrics with the potential for use in low-power electronics and logic circuit applications.

Biodegradable and amphiphilic triblock copolymers poly(ethyl ethylene phosphate)-poly(3-hydroxybutyrate)-poly(ethyl ethylene phosphate) (PEEP-b-PHB-b-PEEP) have been successfully synthesized through ring-opening polymerization. The structures are confirmed by gel permeation chromatography and NMR analyses. Crystallization investigated by X-ray diffraction reveals that the block copolymer with higher content of poly(ethyl ethylene phosphate) (PEEP) is more amorphous, showing decreased crystallizability. The obtained copolymers self-assemble into biodegradable nanoparticles with a coreshell micellar structure in aqueous solution, verified by the probe-based fluorescence measurements and transmission electronic microscopy (TEM) observation. The hydrophobic poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) block serves as the core of the micelles and the micelles are stabilized by the hydrophilic PEEP block. The size and size distribution are related to the compositions of the copolymers. Paclitaxel (PTX) has been encapsulated into the micelles as a model drug and a sustained drug release from the micelles is observed. MTT assay also demonstrates that the block copolymers are biocompatible, rendering these copolymers attractive for drug delivery.

Stripe rust,caused by Puccinia striiformis ***,is one of the most damaging diseases of wheat *** resistant cultivars is the most economic and environmental friendly way to control the *** are many resistance genes to stripe rust located on wheat chromosome ***,we propose a strategy to construct the recombinant wheat chromosome 2B with multiple resistances to stripe rust by making crosses between wheat lines or cultivars carrying Yr genes and using marker-assisted selection,based on the reported information about resistance spectrum,chromosomal location,and linked markers of the *** the resistance genes on 2B would afford a valuable strategy to control the disease by cultivating varieties with durable *** possibility,efficiency,and prospect of the suggested strategy are reviewed in the paper.

A novel antimicrobial short peptide was purified from earthworm (Eisenia foetida) by a five-step protocol including ammonium sulfate precipitation, ultrafiltration, DE-5. ion exchange chromatography, Sephadex G-10 column chromatography, and C-18 reversed-phase HPLC techniques. The purified peptide was applied to the MALDI-TOF MS to determine the molecular mass and was also subjected to TOF MS-MS analysis to determine the amino acid sequence. As a result, a novel antibacterial peptide, named OEP3121, was obtained, with the molecular mass of 5.0.8 Da and the sequence being “ACSAG”.

The SARG04 quantum key distribution protocol can offer greater robustness against photon number splitting attacks than the BB84 protocol that is implemented with weak *** this paper,we propose a tight key analysis for the SARG04 protocol,by considering the one-decoy method and investigating its performance under the influence of a detector *** results demonstrate that an increase in block size leads to a slight increase in both the secure key rate and the maximum transmission ***,the detector afterpulse plays a crucial role in practical applications and has a more pronounced effect on the SARG04 protocol compared to the BB84 protocol.
