The timing and genesis of the major Ni-Cu-Co sulfide deposit in the Xiangshan intrusion have been studied based on newly obtained in-situ U-Pb,Hf and Re-Os isotopic *** SIMS U-Pb zircon ages of the gabbro hosting the Ni-Cu-Co sulfide deposit indicate that the Xiangshan intrusion was emplaced at 279.6±1.1 Ma(95%confidence level,MSWD=1.3.,n=15).On the basis of combined geological and geochronological evidence,we suggest that the Xiangshan and other adjacent Ni-Cu deposits were formed in the same *** have low common Os concentrations and high Re/Os ratios,similar to sulphide ores from the Duluth,Sally Malay and Voisey Bay *** Re-Os isotopic data from the disseminated and massive ores from the Xiangshan intrusion do not form a single isochron,as they have different initial Os *** Hf and Os isotopic data suggest that the Xiangshan intrusion and associated Ni-Cu-Co mineralization were derived from crustally contaminated mantle *** geochemical data show a tholeiitic affinity and a strong suprasubduction zone signature with negative Nb,Sr,and Ti anomalies similar to N-MORB and *** suggest that the mafic-ultramafic rocks and associated Ni-Cu mineralization of the Eastern Tianshan orogen formed in an Alaska-type subduction zone-arc *** diagnostic features of ridge-trench interaction are present in the chinese East Tianshan orogen(***,adakites,high-Mg andesites,near-trench magmatism,Alaskan-type mafic-ultramafic complexes,high-temperature metamorphic belts that prograde rapidly from low-grade belts,and orogenic gold deposits).The above distinctive rock groups are probably related to the same thermal event,ridge subduction,as in the Cenozoic orogen of Alaska. Syn- and post-orogenic Cu mineralization in the northern Xinjiang Paleozoic accretionary and collisional orogenic belt in northwestern china is of great economic interest. Jiaodong Granitoids and Gold mineralization

Gold Production in Jiaodong started in 598 AD, reached 89.5% of the country's total output in 1078 AD ac is now still on the topmost in china. The Jiaodong Group forming the Neoarchaean crystalline basement belongs to the magnetite tyep consisting in the main of gold-bearing basic to intermediate-acidic matavolcanics. The Mesozoic granitoids generated from partial remelting of the Jiaodong Group consequently belong also to the I-type and magnetite series by showing strong petrochemical, mineralogical and crystallochemical inheritance to the Jiaodong Group .There are three major types of granitoids hosting gold deposits in Jiaodong, namely the Lingong monzonitic grenite (J2 ), the Guojialing granodiorite (J3.)and the Kunyushan monzonitic granite (K1). the isotopic chronological data indicate that there are also three stages of gold mineralization (K1 )corresponding to the formation of the three major types of gramitoids, but the former is not the direct Product of magmatic differentiation from the latter .The Mesozic tectonism and dynamometamorphism on mobile margin of continental Plate Played an important role in both deliverance of gold from source rocks into hydrothermal solution and later deposition from the hydrothermal solution to form gold deposits. Mineraloglcal criteria of redox conditions of granitoids, mineraloglcal, petrochemical and crystallochemical data favorable for gold mineralization in general, and especially in Jiaodong granitoids, are summarized. Difference in gold mineralization in the three major types of Jiaodong grauitoids is also roughly given.

Different karst water features and related water resources are present both in southern and northern *** are over 3.3.8 well-developed karst ground river systems with total discharges in the dry season of about 420×10 m in the main karst regions in the southern part of china. Volcanic rocks associated with Early Carboniferous gold mineralization are well exposed in the eastern part of Sawur Mountains, Xinjiang,*** results for these volcanic rocks recognize the Eastern Sawur caldera complex and broadly subdivide the volcanic -magmatic activity into the three cycles and nine *** Eastern Sawur caldera complex consists of at least one elliptical andesite caldera,associated with later and smaller circular andesite caldera,mafic volcanic necks and mafic to felsic dikes. The effusive rocks have a transitional character from calc-alkaline to tholeiite,range from porphyritic basalts,basaltic andesites,andesites to dacites,are enriched in large ion lithophile elements(LILE) and depleted in high-field strength elements(HFSE) relative to NMORB, with a pronounced negative Nb ***-normalized rare earth element(REE) patterns show enrichment in the light REE relative to heavy *** volcanic rocks have near-uniform initial Sr/Sr(0.703.5-0.703.2) and sup>143.d/Nd(0.51254- 0.51259;ε = 3.5-4.7) *** rocks originated from the partial melting of a subduction-modified mantle wedge in a subduction *** wedge represents an enriched MORB mantle source with some transfer of subduction components to the wedge during the magmas *** assimilation could have played a role in petrogenesis during the ascent of the *** characteristics of these volcanic rocks are consistent with their formation in a subduction-related tectonic setting during the Early Carboniferous. Baogutu is the first porphyry Cu-Mo-Au deposit discovered in Western Junggar,Xinjiang,NW *** ore-bearing intrusion is a dioritic intrusive complex that includes stage 1 diorites and minor stage 2 diorite *** stage 1 diorites have produced concentric potassic and propylitic alteration zone and overprinted phyllic alteration and host much of the Cu-Mo-Au mineralization at *** Baogutu porphyry Cu-Mo-Au deposit consists of unusually disseminated and minor vein-style mineralization. The fluid evolution occurred in stage 1 diorite from late magmatic stage to hydrothermal stage(stages 1B and 1C) is constructed based on alteration and fluid inclusion analysis by microthermometry,Raman Spectroscopy and Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer. Five fluid types are distinguished and they are L1(liquid-rich 2-phase),L2(liquid-vapor 2-phase),V1 (vapor-rich 2-phase),V2(mono-phase vapor),and H(multi-phase solid).The dominant inclusions rich in reductive CH plus HO while minor inclusions rich in CH and *** inclusions in quartz from the late magmatic stage contain the most brine inclusions and less other inclusions with CH-rich and HO-rich *** inclusions in quartz from stage 1B contain all fluid types and have CH-rich and CH + HO compositions with rare *** inclusions in quartz from stage 1C are characterized by more vapor inclusions without brine inclusions and a clear CO concentration in a few assemblages with CH + CO composition. Using microthermometry,we estimate fluid trapping conditions at T>400℃and P= 1500 to 3.00 bar in late magmatic stage,T= 200 to 400℃and P = 50 to 3.0 bar in disseminated quartz in stage 1B,T= 180 to 400℃and P = 20 to 260 bar in vein quartz in stage 1B,and T= 170 to 400℃and P = 20 to 23. bar in stage *** late magmatic conditions are compatible with the fluid evolution as a result of CH-rich inclusions derived from mantle *** hydrothermal conditions in stages 1B and 1C with small P-T fluctuations are compatible wit

The Tuwu copper deposit,located in the Dananhu-Tousuquan island arc between the Kazakhstan-Junggar and Tarim plates,is one of the largest porphyry copper deposits in western ***-hosting rocks consist of Early Carboniferous(3.3.2 Ma) granodiorite- and *** the porphyries are *** orebodies,consisting of veinlet-disseminated mineralization within the porphyries,grade range from 0.3.%to 1.50%Cu. mineralization can be assigned to six ***-rock alteration,associated with the mineralization include silicification,chloritization,epidotization,sericitization and carbonatization. Three alteration zones have been recognized:phyllic zone,chlorite-{3.tite zone and propylitic ***-Os dating indicates a 3.2.7F3.Ma age for the deposit.d3.S values of the ore sulfides range from-0.9 to +1.3.,with a mean of 0.11x,reflecting a deep sulfur source.d18O values of quartz in the ores range from 7.70x to 9.70x,and the d18O value of chlorite in the ores is 6.62x. Calculated dl80water values of quartz and chlorite range from .3.x to +6.62x and the 8D values range from-48x to -63.,suggesting that the ore fluids were mainly magma derived in the early stage of ***,values for the late mineralization stage decrease, suggesting the addition of meteoric waters during the *** inclusions within quartz grains are generally 3.to 3. Am in size,with gas proportions ranging from 5%to 60%, mostly from 10%to 15%.Homogenization temperatures of fluid inclusions are relatively low, bracketed between 101 and 409 8C,mostly between 100 and 200 *** exhibit a wide range from 0.3. to 14.61 wt.%NaCl equiv.,with a mean of 7.72 wt.%NaCl equiv.,suggesting that ore fluids have low to moderate *** ore bearing plagiogranite porphyries show a strong depletion in heavy rare-earth elements,with average values of Yb and Y of 0.65 and 5.90 ppm,respectively,this being a characteristic geochemical signature for *** geoch

The Sawur gold belt,the Sawur Mountains,northern Xinjiang,china,is the eastwards extension of the Zarma-Sawur goldcopper belt in *** Kuoerzhenkuola and Buerkesidai gold deposits are the two largest volcanic-hosted gold deposits in this belt,and are spatially associated with Early Carboniferous calc-alkaline volcanic rocks of the Heishantou *** are hosted in a caldera structure consisting of volcanic rocks and subvolcanic rocks,and controlled by a caldera fracture system superimposed by regional *** host rocks are main andesite in the Kuoerzhenkuola deposit,and carbonaceous silty tuff in the Buerkesidai deposit,respectively. Rare earth element(REE) chemistry,stable isotopes(H,O,C,S),radiogenic isotope(Pb),and noble gas isotopes(He and Ar) have been used to discriminate the sources and evolutionary histories of the ore-forming fluid,and to evaluate the genesis in the Kuoerzhenkuola and Buerkesidai volcanic-hosted gold *** ore-forming fluids of the two deposits share the same origin, withδO andδD data indicating that the water of ore fluids was derived from magmatic water,diluted by meteoric waters. He/He and Ar/Ar values suggest that the He in the ore fluids consists of a mixture of mantle He with minor components of meteoric water He.δS values(0.3. to 2.85‰) show that the sulfur isotope composition of the ore fluids is characterized by mantle *** isotope compositions indicate that the majority of the lead in the ore fluids is mantle-derived,with minor lower crust-derived *** rock and pyrite REE data show that the volcanic rocks could have been a fertile source for the metals. The Sanshandao gold deposit,with total resources of more than 60 t of gold,is located in the Jiaodong gold province,the most important gold province of *** deposit is a typical highly fractured and *** gold system,with high-grade, quartz-sulphide veinveinlet stockworks that cut Mesozoic *** are four stages of veins that developed in the following sequence:(1)quartz-K-feldspar -sericite;(2)quartz-pyrite±arsenopyrite;(3.quartzbase metal sulfide;and(4)*** inclusions in quartz and calcite in vein veinlet stockworks contain C-O-H fluids of three main *** first type consists of dilute CO-HO fluids coeval with the early vein *** volumes of these CO-HO fluid inclusions,ranging from 50-60 cm/mol,yield estimated minimum trapping pressures of≥3.kbar. Homogenization temperatures,obtained mainly from CO-HO inclusions with lower CO concentration, range from 267-3.5℃.The second inclusion type,with a CO-HO±CH composition,was trapped during the main mineralizing *** fluids may reflect the CO-HO fluids that were modified by fluid/rock reactions with altered *** for CO- HO±CH inclusions,with homogenization temperatures ranging from 204-3.5℃and molar volumes from 55 to 70 cm/mol,provide an estimated minimum trapping pressure of 1.2 *** third inclusion type, aqueous inclusions,trapped in cross-cutting microfractures in quartz and randomly in calcite,are post-mineralization, and have homogenization temperatures between 143.228℃and salinities from 0.71-7.86 wt% NaCl *** isotope data show that the metamorphic fluid contribution is minimal and that ore fluids are of magmatic origin,most likely sourced from 120- 126 Ma mafic to intermediate *** is consistent with the carbonic nature of the fluid,and the crosscutting nature of those deposits relative to the host Mesozoic granitoid.

The Jiaodong Peninsula or eastern Shandong Province,the most important gold producing in region china,is located in the southeastern margin of the North china *** gold deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula are divided into three gold belts,from west to east,the Zhaoyuan-Laizhou,Penglai-Qixia and Muping-Rushan *** deposits occur as gold-bearing quartz veins and disseminated- and stockwork-style ores adjacent to fault *** of the gold deposits can be classified in four stages:stageⅠ,quartz-(minor) pyrite;stageⅡ. pyrite-quartz-gold:stageⅢ,quartz-base metal sulphide minerals;stageⅣ,quartz-carbonate. Ar-Ar ages,Rb-Sr isochrons,and hydrothermal zircon sensitive high-resolution ion microprobe U-Pb ages obtained from these deposits suggest a gold mineralization time of 120±10 *** Sr-Nd isotopic compositions of pyrites and the associated rocks suggest that the ore-forming materials were probably derived from a mixed *** inclusion studies show that oreforming fluids of gold deposits are consistent throughout the Jiaodong Peninsula,with similar mineralizing temperature and pressure ***-forming fluids are characterized by HO-CO-NaCl±*** optimal mineralizing temperature and pressure ranges are 170- 3.5℃and 0.7-2.5 *** and hydrogen isotope data show that ore fluids are of magmatic *** deposits in the Jiaodong Peninsula formed in the same mineralizing-geodynamic conditions,and are related to the Mesozoic tectonic transition in the eastern North china *** metallogeny is only one expression of the Mesozoic tectonic transition.
