The Hexi gold deposit,located in the Xincheng-Jiaojia gold field of Northwest Jiaodong penensula,is a typical gold deposit of *** orebodies were hosted in early Cretaceous Linglong altered biotite granite and controlled by NE-trending *** initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios demonstrate that both Linglong biotite granite and guojialing granodiorite are derived from deep melted crustal *** and isotopic chronological data indicate that gold mineralization occurred in early *** sulfur isotope composition of ore minerals in Hexi gold deposit implies that solfur materials for mineralization are mainly derived from the deep remelted granitic *** isotope is steady and varies in a very small range,suggesting that the source of hydrothermal fluids is *** on characteristics of stable isotopic data,we candraw the conclusion that matallization of the hexi gold deposit is probably related to the fluid activity of Guojialing *** metallogenic temprature is mainly moderate and the pressure is about(1200-1400)×10

The eastern North china craton contains the largest association of gold deposits in *** of gold deposits of different scales,commonly in groups or belts,constitute seven cluster *** contrast,there are no industrial gold deposits in the neighbouring areas to UHP Sulu region,and the northern Yangtze craton. The host rocks of the gold deposits are chiefly Precambrian high-grade metamorphic rocks and granites(anatectic melts derived from the Precambrian metamorphic rocks).Traditionally the gold deposits were considered to be of Archaean greenstone ***,recent geochronology of granitoid bodies and veins related to the gold mineralization and gold-bearing minerals in ore lodes reveals that the main metallogenic episode was at 110-13. Ma in all the seven cluster regions. Geochemical data also indicate that the metallogenic materials mainly came from the Precambrian basement of the North china craton and its underlying ***-Nb-Pb and S-O-H isotopic data of the ore lodes show crust-mantle mixing characteristics,corresponding to the metamorphic host rocks and basic-alkaline *** main {3. controlling the mineralization are Mesozoic faults that trend～NE-NEE～***,the Precambrian rocks and Mesozoic magma-tectonic events provide the fundamental controls on the mineralization. The Aolunhua porphyry Mo-Cu deposit is located in the northern margin of the North china Craton(NCC),and belongs to the northern part of the Xilamulun metallogenic *** than 90%of the mineralization occurs within the Aolunhua monzogranite-porphyry;a small part is hosted within quartz veins that crosscut Late Permian *** syenogranite,occurring as dikes and cutting through the Aolunhua monzograniteporphyry, is radially distributed in the mining *** U-Pb ages show that the Aolunhua monzogranite-porphyry and the post-ore syenogranite have concordant Pb/U ages of 13..7±1.2 Ma and 13..4±2.8 Ma,*** on analyses of major,trace elements and Hf-isotopes,the Aolunhua porphyry is characterized by high Sr low Y with high La/Yb and Sr/Y ratios typical of adakitic granites,whereas the post-ore syenogranite has lower Sr and higher Y values,showing apparently negative Eu anomalies (δEu=0.26 to 0.3.).The Hf isotopic composition of the Aolunhua porphyry[ε(t)=+3.6to+9.2]and the post-ore syenogranite[ε(t)=+3.6 to+8.7]indicates that both juvenile crustal sources and depleted mantle contributed to their *** regional geological setting together with the discrepancy of geochemistry between the Aolunhua porphyry and the post-ore syenogranite probably indicates that they formed in different tectonic *** Aolunhua porphyry is derived from partial melting of the thickened crust due to underplating of the basaltic magma under the transformation tectonic regime,while the post-ore syenogranite comes from the crustal root melting during the lithospheric delamination stage under the lithosphere thinning regime of northeast china.

The Tianyu mafic-ultramafic intrusion is one of many important sulfide-bearing mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the eastern Tianshan terrane located in the southern margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt in north Xinjiang, NW *** origin of sulfide mineralization in these intrusions,their relationship with Permian basalts and Atype granites,and the geodynamic setting of the bimodal magmatism in the region are *** this paper we use zircon U-Pb age,Hf-Sr-Nd-Os isotope and lithophile-chalcophile trace element constraints from the Tianyu mafic-ultramafic intrusion to address these important *** U-Pb age of zircon from the Tianyu intrusion determined by SIMS is 280±2 *** confirms that the Tianyu intrusion is coeval with most sulfidebearing mafic-ultramafic intrusions and some basalts and A-type granites in the Tianshan *** to coeval basalts in the nearby Tuha basin,the Tianyu intrusive rocks are characterized by negative Nb anomaly and elevatedε values varying between -1 and +*** negative Nb anomaly in the Tianyu intrusion is not as pronounced as in the coeval A-type granites but theε values for these bimodal rocks are ***ε values of zircon from the Tianyu intrusion are positive,varying between 3.and *** values suggest that the parental magma of the Tianyu intrusion was dominated by melt derived from a depleted source ***γ values of pyrrhotite from the Tianyu intrusion are high,ranging from 725 to 995,which can be modeled by selective assimilation of sulfide from the lower and upper *** Pt anomaly is present in relatively sulfide-rich samples such as semi-massive and massive sulfide ores but not in sulfide-poor samples,which is more consistent with the effect of post-magmatic hydrothermal alteration than the original signature of the parental *** results of modeling using the compositions of selected disseminated sulfide samples suggest that the parental magma of the Tianyu intrusion was dep

Rock-magnetic and palaeomagnetic studies have been carried out on the interval of famous fossil -bearing sedimentary rocks and its overlying basalts and underlying basalts at the Sihetun section,West Liaoning *** polarity was obtained for the sedimentary interval and the underlying basalts,while reversed polarity was found in the overlying *** account of the new Ar/(3.)Ar ages(Swisher et al.,1999),we classified the fossil-bearing sedimentary interval into the Barremian M3. zone(Early Cretaceous age).Several abnormal horizons on magnetic properties,probably corresponding to the tuffs, were observed in the fossil-bearing sedimentary interval. This implies that the massive bio-extinction may link to dramatic environmental changes that were caused by volcanic eruptions.

Baogutu is the first porphyry Cu-Mo-Au deposit discovered in West Junggar,Xinjiang,*** is part of the Central Asian orogenic *** is associated with a Carboniferous intrusive complex that was em-placed into lower Carboniferous volcano-sedimentary sequences of the Baogutu and Xibeikulasi *** intrusive complex is made up of main stage equigranular to porphyritic diorites and quartz diorites,and minor late stage diorite *** activity occurred at about 3.5 Ma based on U-Pb(SHBIMP) analyses of zircons. The main stage diorites host the bulk of the Cu-Mo-Au mineralization at *** have been overprinted by three alteration assemblages,including an early potassic(biotite) assemblage that occurs in the center of the deposit.A propylitic assemblage surrounds the potassic zone *** of these alteration assemblages have been overprinted locally by phyllic alteration(quartz-sericite-pyrite),which is associated with the highest Cu-Mo *** and hydrothermally cemented breccias have disrupted the main stage *** late stage diorites have undergone moderate potassic alteration and contain weak Cu mineralization. Matrix-rich breccias with very weak mineralization have cut the intrusive complex and disrupted the orebody Re-Os dating of molybdenite indicates that mineralization occurred at about 3.0 Ma.

Control of Interior Sources on Time-Bound Characteristics of mineralization in Southwest Yangtze Massif

Strata bound ore deposits of Au, Ag, Hg, Sb, As, Sn, Pb and Zn in southwest Yangtze massif are concentrated in Cambrian, Devonian, Upper Permian to Lower Triassic and rarely in other horizons, showing a strong time bound feature. The metallogenic elements are highly enriched in these host strata and limited in other horizons. Isotope researches indicate that the metallogenic elements in the ore deposits mainly come from the host strata. The studies of trace elements in the host mudstone show lower w (Th)/ w (Sc), w (Th)/ w (U) ratios, higher mafic elements (such as Cr, Ni, Co) mass fractions than the average values of the same kind of rocks in the upper crust and the research area. The chondrite normalized REE patterns of mudstone in the host strata are quite different from the common mudstones and shales with relatively steep HREE slopes (relatively high w (Tb) n/ w (Yb) n ratios, between 1.48 and 2.00) and no or slightly negative Eu anomalies (high δ (Eu) ratios, between 0.79 and 0.89). The NASC normalized REE patterns of siliceous rocks in the host strata show the HREE enrichment (the w (La) n/ w (Yb) n ratios are less than 1), a little Eu positive anomalies and Ce depletion with high abundances of As, Se, Sb and Ba elements, which shows the hydrothermal deposit features. The NASC normalized REE patterns of the mudstone in the host strata are very similar to those of the hydrothermal siliceous rocks and to those of the tuffs and basalts except the higher total REE mass fractions. All of these geochemical characteristics suggest the existence of interior sources pouring into basin when the host strata were deposited. The research of basin evolution also indicates that the host strata were deposited in the pulling apart periods. It can be realized from these facts that the degree of enrichment and deficiency of the elements in the normal depositional strata is very limited, and it is only the particular horizons correspo

Two ductile shear zones trending EW and NNE respectively not only controlled the tectonic framework of the northern North china,but also constrained the geodynamic background for gold mineralization at this *** observations and microstructural analyses revealed that the EW trending ductile shear zones are mainly contributed to dextral compressional deformation resulted from top-to-the southeast oblique thrust shearing,whereas the NNE trending ones are genetically related to sinistral strike-slip and extensional *** sample from the former yielded an Ar-Ar plateau age of 219±4 Ma(Bi) and two samples from the latter gave Ar-Ar plateau ages of 116±2 Ma(Bi) and 127±3.Ma(Bi).These ages provide constraints on the top-to-the-southeast oblique thrusting event occurred in Late Triassic and the sinistral extensional and strike-slip faulting event occurred in Early Cretaceous.

The Tuwu-Yandong porphyry copper belt lies in the eastern Tianshan mountains, eastern section of the Central Asian orogenic *** copper mineralization is mainly hosted in plagiogranite porphyries intruded into early Carboniferous volcanic rocks in the Paleozoic Dananhu island arc between the Tarim and Siberian *** plagiogranite porphyries have contents of 65-73.wt%SiO,14-17 wt%AlO,0.9-2.2 wt%MgO,3.16 ppm Y,0.4-1.40 ppm Yb and 3.7-920 ppm Sr and positive Eu *** rocks also exhibit positive(?)Nd(t)) values(+5.0-+9.4) and low initial Sr/Sr values(0.703.6-0.703.8).Such features are similar to those of adakites derived from partial melting of a subduction-related oceanic *** mineralization is spatially and temporally associated with the *** mineralization age is early Carboniferous(3.0-3.0 Ma),which is close to that of the porphyries,the main copper ore bodies are hosted in the porphyries,and the porphyries close to the ores are altered and *** close relationship between the Cu mineralization and the porphyry is also indicated by their similar isotopic compositions of Sr-Nd-Pb. From our study of the geology and geochemistry,we suggest that the copper porphyry (magma) system in the Dananhu island arc was formed by direct melting of an obliquely-subducting early Carboniferous oceanic slab.

Skeletal sphalerite with stellar,cruciform and snowflake-like(or cauliflower-like) shapes included in pyrite is widely found in the Dajing tin-polymetallic *** occurs only in chalcopyrite-pyrite mineralization *** compositions of all sphalerites in the chalcopyrite-pyrite stage are characterized by high Cu content(3.9 - 7.0 wt%with a mean of 5.4 wt%),while the skeletal crystal sphalerite has higher zinc and cadmium contents,and lower copper and iron contents,compared with other sphalerites of the same *** skeletal crystal sphalerite in pyrite is possibly generated by exsolution.
