Aim:To study the effect of 5-hydroxydecanoate （5-HD） on the proliferation of 24h hypoxic human pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells （HPASMC） and to explorethe pharmacological mechanisms of 5-HD as an inhibitor of mitochondrial mem-brane ATP-sensitive potassium channel ***:Normoxic or hy-poxic HPASMC in culture were stimulated by either diazoxide or 5-HD for 24 *** proliferation of HPASMC was examined by 3-（4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazol-yl）-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide （MTT） assay and proliferating cell nuclear anti-gen （PCNA） immunohistochemistry *** apoptosis of HPASMC wasassessed by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end la-beling （TUNEL） assayand flow cytometric *** relative changes inmitochondrial membrane potential （ΔΨm） were measured using the rhodamine fluo-rescence （R-123） ***:Both hypoxia and diazoxide stimulationincreased ΔΨmvalue measured by the absorbance of MTT,PCNA-positive stain-ing and decreased TUNEL-positive staining and apoptotic cells in *** and the concomitant stimulation of diazoxide obviously enhanced theeffects of hypoxia or diazoxide alone.5-HD significantly attenuated the effects ineach of the above ***,5-HD partially inhibited the effect ofhypoxia on R-123 fluorescence intensity in ***:5-HD caninhibit the proliferation of hypoxic HPASMC by blocking mitochondrial KATPchannels.

- An analytical method based on the Reference (Huang Yuying, 1986) is presented for finding the elastic deflection of pipelines laid with an articulated stinger. The suspended segment and the segment supported by the stinger are treated separately hnt simultaneously with the singular perturbation technique and by use of the continuous conditions at the joint between the two segments, an approximate solution of the second order to the deflection of the whole pipeline is obtained.

Inhibiting Apoptosis of CTLL-2 Cells to Enhance Their GVL Effects via Anti-Fas Ribozyme

To investigate the inhibition role of anti-Fas hammerhead ribozyme on fas expression and Fas-mediated apoptosis of CTL cell line CTLL-2 cells, the cDNA of an anti-Fas hammerhead ribozyme was synthesized, its expression plasmid was constructed and transfected into CTLL-2 cells by electroporation. fas expression of CTLL-2 cells was detected by RT-PCR and Western blot. CTLL-2 cell viability was measured using MTT assay when co-cultured with mouse T cell leukemia cell line EL4 cells that highly expressed Fas ligand (FasL). Meanwhile, caspase-3 proteolytic activity was detected, and cell apoptosis was measured by flow cytometry and Hochest-PI double staining. Killing activity of CTLL-2 cells was detected by lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) releasing assay in vitro. Results showed that the expression of both Fas mRNA and protein in CTLL-2 cells were decreased after transfection of anti-Fas ribozyme. Compared with mock- transfected group and mutant ribozyme-transfected group, viability of CTLL-2 cells co-cultured with EL4 cells was increased significantly and cells killing activity was enhanced after transfected with anti-Fas ribozyme, while the caspase-3 activity and apoptosis rate was significantly decreased. The results demonstrated anti-Fas ribozyme could efficiently cleave Fas and inhibit Fas-mediated apoptosis of CTLL-2 cells to improve their viability. Our study made a basis for enhancing CTLL-2 cells anti-leukemia effect in DLI.

Application of embedded systems is faced with multiple threats against security. To solve this problem, this article proposes a new program memory encryption mechanism （PEM） to enhance the security of embedded processor. The new mechanism encrypts all the programs via a secure cache structure. It not only caches the instructions read from the off-chip memory, but also stores the pad values used to encrypt the plaintext. It effectively accelerates encryption and reduces the performance overhead. Besides the encryption, PEM also monitors the program modifications and reset behaviors to reduce the risk of vicious tamper. The experiment indicates that PEM has an average of 2.3 % performance improvement and results in a 25.71% power reduction in the write-back stage. The new scheme offers a good balance between performance and security. It is fully practicable for embedded processor.

Simulation of the Earth' s gravitational field recovery from GRACE using the energy balance approach

Based on the measurement principles of GRACE satellites, the observation equations are set up using the energy balance approach. The Earth's gravitational field complete up to degree and order 120 is recovered applying the preconditioning conjugate gradient iterative approach by numerical simulation. Assuming an accuracy of 1 μm/s in range-rate measurements of the K-band microwave ranging system, the matching relationships of accuracies of K-band microwave ranging system, SuperSTAR Accelerometer, position vector and velocity vector measurements are investigated.

In this paper, a kind of measure of structural centrality for networks, called modularity centrality, is introduced. This centrality index is based on the eigenvector belonging to the largest magnitude eigenvalue of modularity matrix. The measure is illustrated and compared with the standard centrality measures using a classic dataset. The statistical distribution of modularity centrality is investigated by considering large computer generated graphs and two networks from the real world.

Based upon Stroh formalism we derive a novel and convenient scheme for determining the elastic fields of a two-dimensional anisotropic body with a parabolic boundary subject to two kinds of boundary conditions, which are free surface and rigid surface, respectively. The corresponding Green's functions are found by using the conformal mapping method. When the parabolic curve degenerates into a half-infinite crack or rigid inclusion, the singular stress fields near the tip of defects ark obtained. In particular, those Green's functions for a concentrated moment M(0) applied at a point on the parabolic curve are also studied. It is easily found that arbitrary parabolic boundary value problems can be solved by using these Green's functions and associate integrals.

Structure and Magnetic Properties of Ni-doped ZnO Powder

Ni-doped ZnO nanopowder （Zn0.98Ni0.2O） was synthesized by improved coprecipitation method. The average particle size of the powder was estimated to be 50 nm. The powder was then processed by thermal treatment. Samples were annealed at 1 073, 1 273, and 1 473 K, respectively. The solubility of NiO in ZnO and the lattice parameters of ZnO both increased with the temperature. The magnetic property of the doped samples was examined, and hysteresis loops were got. The results showed all the samples were ferromagnetic, while powder processed at 1 273 K for 4 h got a highest saturation magnetization （Ms） of 0.0457 emu/g. Also, magnetic properties were related to the grain size of the powder.
