Influence of substrate temperature on growth of a-Si:H films by reactive facing target sputtering deposition

Hydrogenated amorphous silicon(a-Si:H) films were deposited by reactive facing target sputtering(FTS) technique with a mixture of Ar and H2 reaction *** transform infrared(FTIR) absorption,Raman scattering and ultraviolet-visible optical absorption are used to investigate the microstructure and optical properties of the deposited *** decrease of the concentration of bonded hydrogen,especially that of(Si-H2)n with increasing substrate temperature(Ts),was observed in FTIR spectra,suggesting the atomic density increases and the concentration of microvoids decrease in a-Si:H *** increase of both the short range order and the intermediate range order of amorphous network for a-Si:H films were verified by Raman scattering spectra,in which increasing Ts decreasing the band width of TO and the scattering intensity ratio ITA/ITO were *** above results clarify the effect of increasing Ts on the microstructure amelioration for a-Si:H *** reduction of disordered domains is correlated with the film growing process,where the increased surface diffusion mobility and etching of weak bonds is induced by increasing ***,analysis of optical absorption indicates that the films with a lower optical band gap and a narrower band edge can be obtained by this FTS technique.

Constraints on the original Cardassian model and the modified polytropic Cardassian model are examined from the recently derived 42 gamma-ray bursts(GRBs) data calibrated with the method that can avoid the circularity *** results show that GRBs can be an optional observation to constrain the Cardassian *** the GRBs data with the newly de-rived size of baryonic acoustic oscillation peak from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS),and the position of the first acoustic peak of the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation(CMB) from Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe(WMAP),we find Ωm0=0.27+0.02-0.02,n=0.06+0.07-0.08(1σ) for the original Cardassian model,and Ωm0=0.27+0.23-0.02,n=-0.09+0.23-1.91,β=0.82+2.10-0.62(1σ) for the modified polytropic Cardassian model.

A model for predicting retention time of solutes under linear gradient elution conditions has been established. In this model, the theoretical expressions under different elution modes were derived and tested with the retention behaviors of p hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillin, biphenyl, phenanthrene in gradient elution. With taking into account the dwell time of the instrumental system, the theoretically predicted retention times agree well with those experimentally determined.

The reduction factors p and q defined by Ham in the Ee JT system and their relation 2q-p=1 have been well accepted and the concept of reduction factors is widely used in the studies of vibronic coupling. However, when the system is under the anisotropic conditions, the reduction factors and their relation will change accordingly. The first-order reduction factors p and q of Ee system were further studied using the method of unitary transformation here. The relation between p and q proposed by Ham was investigated under both conditions of the linear coupling and the anisotropic effects. The result demonstrated that the relation of 2q-p=1 was only correct for the linear vibronic coupling, but not correct when the anisotropic effect was considered. This result suggested that the anisotropic effect influence considerably the reduction factors, and hence the physical properties of materials. Our method could be also applied to other JT systems, especially the highly symmetric JT systems involving C60 molecules.

The gas-kinetic unified algorithm using Boltzmann model equation have been extended and developed to solve the micro-scale gas flows in Poiseuille-like micro-channels from Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). The numerical modeling of the gas kinetic boundary conditions suitable for micro-scale gas flows is presented. To test the present method, the classical Couette flows with various Knudsen numbers, the gas flows from short microchannels like plane Poiseuille and the pressure-driven gas flows in two-dimensional short microchannels have been simulated and compared with the approximate solutions of the Boltzmann equation, the related DSMC results, the modified N-S solutions with slip-flow boundary theory, the gas-kinetic BGK-Burnett solutions and the experimental data. The comparisons show that the present gas-kinetic numerical algorithm using the mesoscopic Boltzmann simplified velocity distribution function equation can effectively simulate and reveal the gas flows in microchannels. The numerical experience indicates that this method may be a powerful tool in the numerical simulation of micro-scale gas flows from MEMS.

This paper briefly reviews the lepton flavor violating Z-decays at GigaZ as a probe of supersymmetry by focusing on Z → i j in two representative supersymmetric models: the minimal supersymmetric model without R-parity and the supersymmetric seesaw *** work concludes that under the current experimental constraints from LEP and i → j γ,these rare decays can still be enhanced to reach the sensitivity of the ***,supersymmetry can be probed via these decays at GigaZ.

We determined the variation tendency of viscosity (η) at various solids load- ing (α) for 3Y-TZP suspension as a function of dispersant concentration (Cw) using vis- cosity measurement, measured the diameter of particles as a function of Cw in very dilute suspension using light scattering method, and obtained the surface features of the sedi- ment of suspension with different Cw using SEM. We also discussed the influence of the microstructure of adsorbed polymer layers on particles and their interactions in the dis- persing medium on the stability of suspension. Then two different stable states and two different unstable states for 3Y-TZP suspension were given. Accordingly, the (Cw, η), (Cw, α), and (α, η) two-parameter, and (Cw, α, η) three-parameter stability maps were con- structed. Based on the DLVO theory calculations, the dispersant concentration, particle distance (r), and interparticle potential energy (VT) maps with various solids loading for 3Y-TZP aqueous suspension were also constructed. In (Cw, r) two-parameter coordinate system, the stable motion region map for particles was established. The Cw, α, and VT,max (the highest potential energy) surface of the potential barrier map was obtained through calculation and simulation on the basis of the surfaces of Cw, r, VT maps introduced above. The (Cw, α) two-parameter stability map was then obtained from the Cw, α, VT,max map. The results showed that this theoretical map can qualitatively prove the experimentally obtained results—the existence of different dispersed states of particles in suspension system and the variation tendency of suspension stability with changing each parame- ter—were reasonable.

It has been proved that when the retarded effect (or multiple moment effect) of radiation fields is taken into account,the high order stimulated radiation and stimulated absorption probabilities of light are not the same so that time reversal symmetry would be violated,though the Hamiltonian of electromagnetic interaction is still unchanged under time reversal. The reason to cause time reversal symmetry violation is that certain filial or partial transition processes of bound atoms are forbidden or cannot be achieved due to the law of energy conservation and the special states of atoms themselves. These restrictions would cause the symmetry violation of time reversal of other filial or partial transition processes which can be actualized really. The symmetry violation is also relative to the asymmetry of initial states of bound atoms before and after time reversal. For the electromagnetic interaction between non-bound atoms and radiation field,there is no such kind of symmetry violation of time reversal. In this way,the current formula on the parameters of stimulated radiation and absorption of light with time reversal sym-metry should be revised. A more reliable foundation can be established for the theories of laser and nonlinear optics in which non-equilibrium processes are in-volved.
