Relationship Between Vegetation Restoration and Soil Microbial Characteristics in Degraded Karst Regions: A Case Study

The mechanism of vegetation restoration on degraded karst regions has been a research focus of soil science and ecology for the last *** an attempt to preferably interpret the soil microbiological characteristic variation associated with vegetation restoration and further to explore the role of soil microbiology in vegetation restoration mechanism of degraded karst regions,we measured microbial biomass C and basal respiration in soils during vegetation restoration in Zhenfeng County of southwestern Guizhou Province,*** community level physiological profiles(CLPP) of the soil microbial community to were estimated determine if vegetation changes were accompanied by changes in functioning of soil microbial *** results showed that soil microbial biomass C and microbial quotient(microbial biomass C/organic C) tended to increase with vegetation restoration,being in the order arboreal community stage > shrubby community stage > herbaceous community stage > bare land *** trend was found in the change of basal respiration(BR).The metabolic quotient(the ratio of basal respiration to microbial biomass,qCO 2) decreased with vegetation restoration,and remained at a constantly low level in the arboreal community *** of the CLPP data indicated that vegetation restoration tended to result in higher average well color development,substrate richness,and functional *** utilization of specific substrate guilds was highest in the arboreal community *** component analysis of the CLPP data further indicated that the arboreal community stage was distinctly different from the other three *** conclusion,vegetation restoration improved soil microbial biomass C,respiration,and utilization of carbon sources,and decreased qCO 2,thus creating better soil conditions,which in turn could promote the restoration of vegetation on degraded karst regions.

To eliminate computational problems involved in evaluating multi-attribute bids with differentmeasures,this article first normalizes each individual component of a bid,and then makes use ofthe weighted product method to present a new scoring function that converts each bid into a *** of multi-attribute auction models are introduced in terms of scoring rules and bidding *** bidding strategies,procurer's revenue comparisons and optimal auction designare characterized in these two ***,this article discusses some improvement of robustnessof our models,with respect to the assumptions.

Contemporary Library Science in china has gone through 60 years’ tough development since 1956. This paper tries to disclose the journey and achievements of Chinese Library Science in the past 60 years based on the analysis of published journal articles. This paper analyzes contemporary Chinese Library Science in the context of Chinese Library Science history and the international Library Science environment. Examining the historical progress of the Library Science in china, this paper divides the history into 5 phases: late start, wandering phase, tough starting phase, rebuilding phase, breaking phase and shining phase.

This paper investigates the impact of a secondary market, where retailers can buy and sell excess inventories, on the supply chain. We develop a two-period model with a single manufacturer and two retailers. At the beginning of the first period the retailers order and receive products from the manufacturer, but at the beginning of the second period, they can trade surplus products between themselves in the secondary market. We investigate the impact of the correlated dependence of retailers' demand on both the quantity effect and the allocation effect under the secondary market. Lastly, we study potential strategies for the manufacturer to increase sales with the existence of the secondary market.

Using the data from 1980 to 2010, this paper conducts an empirical research on regional disparities from the perspective of regional imbalances of foreign trade. The results show that regional disparities of china’s foreign trade are quite evident since 1980, but the imbalance level has gradually decreased in recent years. It is noted that the imbalances of foreign trade between the eastern and the central region are diminishing whereas the western region shows no obvious trend. Since 1992, china’s economic imbalance is mainly caused by the inter-regional imbalance of foreign trade, which on average accounts for 75 percent of the regional economic disparities. Besides, the regional imbalance of import trade has exerted greater impact on the regional disparities of economic growth than that of export trade imbalance has.

A density-dependent matrix model and its applications in optimizing harvest schemes

Based on temporal data collected from 36 re-measured plots, transition probabilities of trees from a diameter class to a higher class were analyzed for the broad-leaved-Korean pine forest in the Changbai Mountains. It was found that the transition probabilities were related not only to diameter size but also to the total basal area of trees with the diameter class. This paper demonstrates the development of a density-dependent matrix model, DM2, and a series of simulations with it for forest stands with different conditions under different harvest schemes. After validations with independent field data, this model proved a suitable tool for optimization analysis of harvest schemes on computers. The optimum harvest scheme(s) can be determined by referring to stand growth, total timbers harvested, and size diversity changes over time. Three user-friendly interfaces were built with a forest management decision support system FORESTAR?for easy operations of DM2 by forest managers. This paper also summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of DM2.

＜正＞This paper carried on the comprehensive investigation to the survival condition of staff of the state-owned forest zone,using the method of the large-scale empirical *** conclusion is:1) The employment rate of the forest zone and the lumber output assumed being highly *** indicated that along with the lumber output and the average per capita industrial output value drastically dropped,the employment rate assumed the tendency which also drastically dropped.2) Among it masculine staff proportion was obviously higher than that of the female and the employment rate and the unemployment rate of masculine staff were obviously higher than those of the female.3 ) The average job seniority was above 23 years,but the whole education level was generally low. The forestry injury events is mainly due to the short schooling years of workers,the inferior skill level of profession,the low cognition and understanding ability to safety rules and so forth.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of arsenic trioxide(As2O3) on the mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA) of acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL) *** NB4 cell line was treated with 2.0 μmol/L As2O3 in vitro,and the primary APL cells were treated with 2.0 μmol/L As2O3 in vitro and 0.16 mg kg-1 d-1 As2O3 in *** mitochondrial DNA of all the cells above was amplified by PCR,directly sequenced and analyzed by Sequence Navigatore and Factura *** apoptosis rates were assayed by flow *** DNA mutation in the D-loop region was found in NB4 and APL cells before As2O3 use,but the mutation spots were remarkably increased after As2O3 treatment,which was positively correlated to the rates of cellular apoptosis,the correlation coefficient:rNB4-As2O3=0.973818,and rAPL-As2O3=*** mutation types include transition,transversion,codon insertion or deletion,and the mutation spots in all samples were not constant and *** is revealed that As2O3 aggravates mtDNA mutation in the D-loop region of acute promyelocytic leukemia cells both in vitro and in *** DNA might be one of the targets of As2O3 in APL treatment.

With the transition of university orientation from research university to entrepreneurial university,the university has been shifted from subordinate supporting mechanism to leading principal organ in the Triple Helix Model of knowledge *** spin-offs as carrier of knowledge innovation and entrepreneurship,their innovative system and technology transfer method is attracting increasing attention from scholars from both at home and *** this paper,by using the Triple Helix Model as analysis frame and taking three leading enterprises of university spin-offs in china as cases,we explored the characteristics of their knowledge innovation systems and technological transformation,and found the scientific research strength of parent organization and the government’s influence in the knowledge innovation system have a direct impact on the generation and sustainable development of university spin-offs.
