A nonlinear hinged extensible elastic body equation with strong structural damping and Balakrishnan-Taylor damping of full exponent is studied as a general model for large space structures of higher *** this paper, the absorbing sets and fiat inertial manifold are obtained for this nonlinear body *** control spillover problem associated with the stabilization of this equation is resolved by constructing a linear finite dimensional feedback control based on the existence of inertial manifolds of the uncontrolled equation. Moreover, the results obtained are robust with respect to the uncertainty in structural parameters.

This paper gives a kind of series represeotation of the scaling functions φNand the associated wavelets . constructed by Daubechies. In this paper, based on the natural boundary reduction advanced by Feng and Yu, we couple the finite elementapproach with the natural boundary element method to study theweak solvability and Galerkin approximation of a class ofnonlinear exterior boundary value problems. The analysis is mainlybased on the variational formulation with *** provethe error estimate of the finite element solution and obtain theasymptotic rate of convergence. Finally, we also give anumerical example.

The travelling wave solutions of a generalized Camassa-Holm-Degasperis-Procesi equation ut-uxxt + (1 + b)umux = buxuxx + uuxxx are considered where b > 1 and m are positive integers. The qualitative analysis methods of planar autonomous systems yield its phase portraits. Its soliton wave solutions, kink or antikink wave solutions, peakon wave solutions, compacton wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and periodic cusp wave solutions are obtained. Some numerical simulations of these solutions are also given.
