Analysis for twinning and slip in face-centered cubic crystals under axisymmetric co-deformation

The maximum work principle of Bishop-Hill was developed to analyze the axisymmetric co-deformation in face-centered cubic crystals (f.c.c.) for twinning on {111} 112.and slip on {111} 110 systems. The influence of ξ , the ratio of critical re- solved shear stress for twinning to slip, on the yield stress states and corresponding active slip or/and twinning systems for orientations in the standard stereographic triangle of cubic crystal was investigated systematically. The Taylor factors and the anisotropy of yield strength for three important orientations [100], [110] and [111] in orientation space were analyzed. It is found that the yield strength asymmetry for the case of axisymmetric de- formation of tension and compression can be explained based on the microscopic theory of crystal plasticity. The concept of orientation factor for twinning ability was proposed and the deformation mechanism map in the orientation space was established for the case of axisymmetric deformation. The deformation texture formation and development of f.c.c. crystals with low stacking fault energy for axisymmetric tension can be explained qualita- tively on the basis of analyzed results.

The surface subsidence caused by underground coal seam mining is a time and space process and the development and change process of surface movement and deformation caused by mining subsidence is in accordance with biological growth law,this paper uses the characteristics of Verhulst model to carry out various processing of a few initial data to establish a grey differential equation model,obtains the time response model of surface movement and then uses the advantages of computer,such as high speed,strong repeatability and high operational precision,etc,to compile programs and input necessary initial data,thereby establishing the Verhulst model of surface movement of a certain point and simulating the time process of the surface point movement,and finally re-divides surface movement and deformation stage into 4 phases according to biological growth law and uses biological growth process to simulate the time process of surface movement,which is helpful to prevent the damage of mining subsidence to surface structure,protect ground facilities and reduce the economic losses caused by mining subsidence.

Numerical simulation of ski-jump jet motion using lattice Boltzmann method

Based on the lattice Boltzmann method,a lattice Boltzmann(LB) model of the ski-jump jet two-phase flow is developed first and the corresponding boundary conditions are studied.A simple case study of a droplet horizontal movement calculation is carried out to test and verify the model,where level set method is used to track and reconstruct the moving droplet free surface. Then,we numerically simulate a two dimensional flow field of the ski-jump jet with the LB model,derive the moving surface and velocity vector field of the jet *** simulation results are very consistent with the physical *** effectiveness and reliability of the model are demonstrated by the numerical examples.

Surface Nanocrystallization of Magnesium Alloy AZ91D by High-energy Shot Peening

High-energy shot peening （HESP）, a method to produce severe plastic deformation by high velocity flying balls, was applied on die cast magnesium alloy AZ91D. Effects of surface nanocrystallization by HESP and heat treatment at different temperatures were investigated. The mi- crostructure evolution was conducted using X-ray diffraction （XRD） and field emission scanning electronic microscopy （FESEM）. The hardness was measured by microhardness tester. The experimental results show that surface nanocrystrallization of AZ91D obtained by HESP would lead to the increase of microhardness. Low temperature heated at 100℃ for 1 h do not change the property obviously. However, both the microstructure and microhardness vary greatly after heat treatment at 400℃ for 1 h.

Mass Concentration of Particles (PM10) in Urban Environment of Changsha,china

Continuous measurement of ambient PM10 was performed by TEOM at a university campus for about one year from 2. November 2.07 to 2. October 2.08 in Changsha city of Hunan *** PM10 and PM2.5 concentration were measured by DustTrak simultaneously in order to describe the difference in concentration level and daily variations of particle mass concentration between different seasons,and to survey the influence of ambient particle on indoor air *** the survey period,the annual average PM10 concentration was found to be 117.63 μg/m3,with a mean value 12..88 μg/m3 in winter and 111.50 μg/m3 in *** temporal trend changed quickly from time to time,and the peak values were found in rush hours and in the *** PM10 showed a good correlation with indoor PM10 and outdoor PM2.5 but not with indoor *** results showed that PM10 was influenced by local source(such as traffic or fuel burning)and regional *** correlation analysis has shown that ambient PM10 contributes substantial fraction to indoor PM10 but not to indoor PM2.5,which indicates other source may exist in the indoor environment.

Owing to the distinctive structural characteristics,vanadium nitride(VN)is highly regarded as a catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in zinc-air batteries(ZABs).However,VN exhibits limited intrinsic ORR activity due to the weak adsorption ability to O-containing ***,the S-doped VN anchored on N,S-doped multi-dimensional carbon(S-VN/Co/NS-MC)was constructed using the solvothermal and in-situ doping *** sulfur atoms into VN species alters the electron spin state of vanadium in the S-VN/Co/NS-MC for regulating the adsorption energy of vanadium sites to oxygen *** introduced sulfur atoms polarize the V 3d_(z)^(2. electrons,shifting spin-down electrons closer to the Fermi level in the S-VN/Co/***,the introduction of sulfur atoms into VN species enhances the adsorption energy of vanadium sites for oxygen ****OOH dissociation transitions from being unspontaneous on the VN surface to a spontaneous state on the S-doped VN ***,the ORR barrier on the S-VN/Co/NS-MC surface is *** S-VN/Co/NS-MC demonstrates a higher half-wave potential and limiting current density compared to the VN/Co/*** S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based liquid ZABs display a power density of 195.7 m W cm^(-2.,a specific capacity of 815.7 m A h g^(-1),and a cycling stability exceeding 2.0 *** S-VN/Co/NS-MC-based flexible ZABs are successfully employed to charge both a smart watch and a mobile *** approach holds promise for advancing the commercial utilization of VN-based catalysts in ZABs.
