In this paper, a kind of measure of structural centrality for networks, called modularity centrality, is introduced. This centrality index is based on the eigenvector belonging to the largest magnitude eigenvalue of modularity matrix. The measure is illustrated and compared with the standard centrality measures using a classic dataset. The statistical distribution of modularity centrality is investigated by considering large computer generated graphs and two networks from the real world.

The integrated layout problem in manufacturing Systems is investigated. Anintegrated model for Concurrent layout design of cells and flow paths is formulated. A hybridapproach combined an enhanced branch-and-bound algorithm with a simulated annealing scheme isproposed to solve this problem. The integrated layout method is applied to re-layout the gear pumpshop of a medium-size manufacturer of hydraulic pieces. Results show that the proposed layout methodcan concurrently provide good solutions of the cell layouts and the flow path layouts.

A solid/liquid/gas unified model has been developed to investigate the gradient composition formation during the plasma deposition manufacturing(PDM) composite materials process. In this model,an enthalpy porosity model was applied to deal with the melting and solidification of the deposited layer,and a level-set approach was introduced to track the evolution of the free surface of the molten pool and the deposited layer. Moreover,complicated physical phenomena occurring at the liquid/gas interface,including forced convection heat loss,heat emission and plasma heat source,have been incorporated into the governing equations by source terms. In this study,the numerical experiment of nickel base alloy powder deposited on the medium steel substrate by PDM technique was implemented based on the staggered grid and SIMPLEC algorithm. Concentration gradient distribution of the solute material at the composite material interface,fluid flow and temperature distribution in the molten pool and the deposited layer have been investigated in detail.

This article puts forward a novel channel estimation and inter-carrier interference（ICI） suppression method for time-varying orthogonal frequency division multiplexing（OFDM） *** proposed adaptive finite impulse response（FIR） filter utilizes the time domain correlation of the *** on the one order auto-regressive（AR） model,a modified Kalman filter is exploited to track the channel *** solving the Yule-Walker equation,the coefficient of the AR process can be obtained from zero order Bessel ***,when the channel is assumed not perfectly known,the above criterion will lead to an impractical *** deal with it,the coefficient of the AR process is taken as a *** a new state space model is deduced and *** results show that the proposed method can work effectively at the speed of 144 km/h with a phase noise of -85 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz *** proposed method yields an improvement bit error rate（BER） compared with three of the existing algorithms with much lower complexity.

Constructing a family of generalized Lyapunov functions, a new method is proposed to obtain new global attractive set and positive invariant set of the Lorenz chaotic system. The method we proposed greatly simplifies the complex proofs of the two famous estimations presented by the Russian scholar Leonov. Our uniform formula can derive a series of the new estimations. Employing the idea of intersection in set theory, we extract a new Leonov formula-like estimation from the family of the estimations. With our method and the new estimation, one can confirm that there are no equilibrium, periodic solutions, almost periodic motions, wandering motions or other chaotic attractors outside the global attractive set. The Lorenz butterfly-like singular attractors are located in the global attractive set only. This result is applied to the chaos control and chaos synchronization. Some feedback control laws are obtained to guarantee that all the trajectories of the Lorenz systems track a periodic solution, or globally stabilize an unstable (or locally stable but not globally asymptotically stable) equilibrium. Further, some new global exponential chaos synchronization results are presented. Our new method and the new results are expected to be applied in real secure communication systems.

Binding Materials of Dehydrated Phases of Waste Hardened Cement Paste and Pozzolanic Admixture

Fly ash （FA） and ground granulated blast-furnace slag （GGBFS） were added to improve the performances of regenerated binding materials （RBM） which refer to dehydrated phases with rebinding ability of waste hardened cement paste. Flowability tests, compressive strength tests, SEM, TG-DSC, and non-evaporable water content tests were employed to study the performances of the combined binding materials and the interactions between RBM, FA, and GGBFS. Results show that adding FA or GGBFS can improve the workability of RBM paste, and GGBFS has positive effects on strength of RBM. Pozzolanic reactions happen between RBM, FA, and GGBFS. And the activation effect of RBM to FA and GGBFS is superior to that of P.O grade-32.5 cement, especially at earlier ages, because of the high reactive f-CaO existing in RBM. On the advantages of the synergetic effects of RBM and pozzolanic admixtures such as FA and GGBFS, new combined binding materials can be prepared by blending them together.

Adopting distributed control architecture is the important developmentdirection for shop floor management and control system, is also the requirement of making it agile,intelligent and concurrent. Some key problems in achieving distributed control architecture areresearched. An activity model of shop floor is presented as the requirement definition of theprototype system. The multi-agent based software architecture is constructed. How the core part inshop floor management and control system, production plan and scheduling is achieved. Thecooperation of different agents is illustrated. Finally, the implementation of the prototype systemis narrated.

Copper-cadmium halide doped photochromic glass coating on plate glass has been prepared by a sol-gel process. The sample shows reversible photochromic effect. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and infrared (IR) spectrum investigations indicate that the photochromic phase of tile coating is CuBr_xCl_(1-x), solid solution, and that the structure network of the coating is connected with the bonds of Si-O-Si, Si-O-B and Si-O-Al.
