Double staining flow cytometry was performed using 7-amino actinomycin D and 6-carboxy-2.,7’-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate, to detect the level fluctuation of reactive oxygen species （ROS） during the cell cycle of normal NB4 cells. Our results showed that NB4 cells possessed higher level of ROS in G2.M phase than in G1 and S phases. Double staining flow cytometry, with TdT mediated dUTP nick end labeling （Tunel） and propidium iodide （PI）, indicated that As2.3 （2.M） could induce apoptosis in NB4 cells prevailingly from G2.M phase, and this efficacy was enhanced upon co-administration of 2. 3-dimethoxy-1, 4-naphthoquinone （DMNQ）（2.5μM） which could produce the endogenous ROS. These results suggested that different ROS level in different cell cycle phases of NB4 cells might determin the selective induction of G2.M apoptosis and the cells’ susceptibility to apoptosis by As2.3.

The control of a free-floating space manipulator system isdiscussed. With the augmentation approach, the nonlinearparameterization problem of the dynamic equations of the spacemanipulator system is overcome. Based on the results, the robustcontrol scheme for free-floating space manipulator with uncer- tainpayload parameters to track the desired trajectory in jointspace isproposed, and the global convergence of the tracking is verified byusing the Lyapunov method.

Spinel zinc ferrites ZnFe2.4, prepared by co-precipitation method using the zinc nitrate Zn（NO3）2.6H2. and ferric nitrate Fe（NO3）3·2.2. as the raw materials, were characterized by the thermo gravimetric analysis （TG） and differential scanning calorimeter （DSC）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscope （SEM）. The influence of synthesis conditions, such as Zn/Fe molar ratio, pH value, the sintering temperature and time, on the microstructures was detailedly investigated. The relationships between the microstructures and the synthesis conditions were discussed. The results show that the pure spinel zinc ferrites ZnFe2.4 are formed when the Zn/Fe molar ratio is 1.05∶2.at pH=8.5 or Zn/Fe molar ratio is 1∶2.at Ph=9-10, and the precursors are sintered at 1100 ℃ for 4 h. Especially no other phases are observed when the Zn/Fe molar ratio is 1∶2.at pH=10 and the precursor is sintered above 700 ℃ for 4 h. The higher sintering temperature and longer sintering time contribute to grain growth.

A three-dimensional representation of vasculature can be extremely important in image-guided neurosurgery, pre-surgical planning. In this paper, a spatial continuity incorporated multi-attribute fuzzy clustering algorithm (MAFCM S) is proposed to segment entire blood vessels from TOF MRA images. This clustering method takes both the intensity information and the geometrical information into account, while most of the cur- rent clustering methods only deal with the former. In this method, a new dissimilarity measure, which integrates the intensity and the geometry shape dissimilarity, is introduced. Because of the presence of the geometrical information, the new measure is able to differentiate the pixels with similar intensity values within different geometrical shape structures. Experimental results show that the new algorithm can get better segmentation.

BACKGROUND:Clinically,common bile duct (CBD) stones >2.cm are difficult to remove by endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).To evaluate this observation,the rates of successful clearance of CBD stones and complications were compared between ERCP extraction of CBD stones of >2.cm and 2.cm in ***:All patients who had undergone endoscopic extraction of CBD stones at the Endoscopy Center of shanghai First People’s Hospital from May 2.04 to May 2.08 were *** with CBD stones of >2.cm in diameter were enrolled in the >2.cm *** matched controls with CBD stones of 2.cm in diameter were selected for each enrolled patient (2.cm group).Patient characteristics,success rates,and complications during and after ERCP were ***:Seventy-two patients constituted the >2.cm group and 144 patients were in the 2.cm *** significant differences were found in the patient characteristics,except for stone size and CBD *** the overall success rate and the success rate in the first ERCP session were lower in the >2.cm group (77.8% and 58.3%,respectively) than in the 2.cm group (91.7% and 83.3%,P2.cm group was higher than in the 2.cm group (13.2. and 6.3%,P2..6%),acute pancreatitis (8.3%) and biliary infection (18.1%) were higher in the >2.cm group than in the 2.cm group (3.5%,11.1%,2.1%,and 2.8%,respectively,P2.cm in diameter was lower but the complication rate was higher than that of stones of 2.cm in diameter.

On the basis of reproducing kernel particle method(RKPM),using complex variable theory,the complex variable reproducing kernel particle method(CVRKPM) is discussed in this *** advantage of the CVRKPM is that the correction function of a two-dimensional problem is formed with one-dimensional basis function when the shape function is *** the CVRKPM is applied to solve two-dimensional elasto-plasticity *** Galerkin weak form is employed to obtain the discretized system equation,the penalty method is used to apply the essential boundary *** then,the CVRKPM for two-dimensional elasto-plasticity problems is formed,the corresponding formulae are obtained,and the Newton-Raphson method is used in the numerical *** numerical examples are given to show that this method in this paper is effective for elasto-plasticity analysis.

In this paper, using the variable coefficient generalized projected Ricatti equation expansion method, we present explicit solutions of the (2.1)-dimensional variable coefficients Broer-Kaup (VCBK) equations. These solutions include Weierstrass function solution, solitary wave solutions, soliton-like solutions and trigonometric function solutions. Among these solutions, some are found for the first time. Because of the three or four arbitrary functions, rich localized excitations can be found.

The temperature and the size dependences of the self-trapping energy of a polaron in a GaAs parabolic quantum dot are investigated by the second order Rayleigh-Schrodinger perturbation method using the framework of the effective mass approximation. The numerical results show that the self-trapping energies of polaron in GaAs parabolic quantum dots shrink with the enhancement of temperature and the size of the quantum dot. The results also indicate that the temperature effect becomes obvious in small quantum dots
