Effects of systemic domestic recombinant human erythropoietin on HIF-1α expression in the retina in a rabbit model of acute high intraocular pressure

Objective To observe the expression of hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) in the retina of rabbits with acute high intraocular pressure and to investigate the mechanism of systemic domestic recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) protecting the retina from ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods First,control group and model group were established in rabbit eyes. The acute high intraocular pressure model was established by saline perfusion into anterior chamber,and then hypodermic injection of domestic rhEPO was made. HIF-1α protein in the retina was observed by immunohistochemical staining method on days 1,3,7 and 14 after retinal ischemia-reperfusion,respectively. Results No cells with HIF-1α positive expression were observed in the retina of the control group. Cells with HIF-1α positive expression in the model group outnumbered those in the control group (P<0.01). The resemblance pattern occurred in EPO group but its degree was slightly greater than that in the model group from day 3 after ischemia-reperfusion (P<0.05). Conclusion Domestic rhEPO can down-regulate the expression of HIF-1α in the retina with acute high intraocular pressure,which may be one of the mechanisms that rhEPO protects the retina from ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Modal parameters can accurately characterize the structural dynamic properties and assess the physical state of the ***,it is particularly signiﬁcant to identify the structural modal parameters according to the monitoring data information in the structural health monitoring(SHM)system,so as to provide a scientiﬁc basis for structural damage identiﬁcation and dynamic model modiﬁ*** view of this,this paper reviews methods for identifying structural modal parameters under environmental excitation and brieﬂy describes how to identify structural damages based on the derived modal *** paper primarily introduces data-driven modal parameter recognition methods(e.g.,time-domain,frequency-domain,and time-frequency-domain methods,etc.),brieﬂy describes damage identiﬁcation methods based on the variations of modal parameters(e.g.,natural frequency,modal shapes,and curvature modal shapes,etc.)and modal validation methods(e.g.,Stability Diagram and Modal Assurance Criterion,etc.).The current status of the application of artiﬁcial intelligence(AI)methods in the direction of modal parameter recognition and damage identiﬁcation is further *** on the pre-vious analysis,the main development trends of structural modal parameter recognition and damage identiﬁcation methods are given to provide scientiﬁc references for the optimized design and functional upgrading of SHM systems.

Unsupervised Meteorological Downscaling Based on Dual Learning and Subgrid-scale Auxiliary Information

Climate downscaling is used to transform large-scale meteorological data into small-scale data with enhanced detail,which finds wide applications in climate modeling,numerical weather forecasting,and renewable *** deeplearning-based downscaling methods effectively capture the complex nonlinear mapping between meteorological data of varying scales,the supervised deep-learning-based downscaling methods suffer from insufficient high-resolution data in practice,and unsupervised methods struggle with accurately inferring small-scale specifics from limited large-scale inputs due to small-scale *** article presents DualDS,a dual-learning framework utilizing a Generative Adversarial Network–based neural network and subgrid-scale auxiliary information for climate *** a learning method is unified in a two-stream framework through up-and downsamplers,where the downsampler is used to simulate the information loss process during the upscaling,and the upsampler is used to reconstruct lost details and correct errors incurred during the *** dual learning strategy can eliminate the dependence on high-resolution ground truth data in the training process and refine the downscaling results by constraining the mapping *** findings demonstrate that DualDS is comparable to several state-of-the-art deep learning downscaling approaches,both qualitatively and ***,for a single surface-temperature data downscaling task,our method is comparable with other unsupervised algorithms with the same dataset,and we can achieve a 0.469 dB higher peak signal-to-noise ratio,0.017 higher structural similarity,0.08 lower RMSE,and the best correlation *** summary,this paper presents a novel approach to addressing small-scale uncertainty issues in unsupervised downscaling processes.

Plastic flow and interfacial bonding behaviors of embedded linear friction welding process:Numerical simulation combined with thermophysical experiment

In this study,a new linear friction welding(LFW)process,embedded LFW process,was put forward,which was mainly applied to combination manufacturing of long or overlong loadcarrying titanium alloy structural components in *** interfacial plastic flow behavior and bonding mechanism of this process were investigated by a developed coupling EulerianLagrangian numerical model using software ABAQUS and a novel thermo-physical simulation method with designed embedded hot compression *** addition,the formation mechanism and control method of welding defects caused by uneven plastic flow were *** results reveal that the plastic flow along oscillating direction of this process is even and *** the direction perpendicular to oscillation,thermo-plastic metals mainly flow downward along welding interface under coupling of shear stress and interfacial pressure,resulting in the interfacial plastic zone shown as an inverted“V”*** upward plastic flow in this direction is relatively weak,and only a small amount of flash is extruded from top of ***,the wedge block and welding components at top of joint are always in un-steady friction stage,leading to nonuniform temperature field distribution and un-welded *** to the results of numerical simulation,high oscillating frequency combined with low pressure and small amplitude is considered as appropriate parameter selection scheme to improve the upward interfacial plastic flow at top of joint and suppress the un-welded *** results of thermo-physical simulation illustrate that continuous dynamic recrystallization(CDRX)induces the bonding of interface,accompanying by intense dislocation movement and creation of many low-angle grain *** the interfacial bonding area,grain orientation is random with relatively low texture density(5.0 mud)owing to CDRX.

Super-high bed sintering for iron ores:variation and optimization of bed resistance

As the bed depth increases,sintering yield increases,but the productivity *** reveal the reasons for the decrease in productivity and explore targeted solutions,the bed resistance of mixtures,wet zone,and combustion zone was analyzed in the *** results showed that the decreased porosity of mixture resulted in the increased bed resistance by 160.56%when the bed depth increased from 600 to 1000 *** improving porosity of 1%by adding loosening bars with optimized size and distribution,the bed resistance decreased,and the productivity increased by 5%.The increase in bed depth increased the thickness of the wet zone from 12. to 680 mm and the resistance from 1.56 to 8.83 *** using a three-stage intensive mixer and pre-adding water for granulation,the moisture of mixture was reduced by 0.6%,and the sintering productivity increased by 4%.Besides,the high bed resistance is mainly caused by the increase in the thickness of the combustion zone from 31.9 to 132.7 mm,and the bed resistance increased from 0.70 to 5.62.*** bed resistance of the combustion zone at 900 mm was increased by 90.51%compared to 700 *** optimization of the distribution of coke breeze,the thickness of combustion zone at the lower layer decreased from 132.7 to 106.84 mm and permeability improved significantly.

FUBP3 mediates the amyloid-β-induced neuronal NLRP3 expression

Alzheimer's disease is characterized by deposition of amyloid-β,which forms extracellular neuritic plaques,and accumulation of hyperphosphorylated tau,which aggregates to form intraneuronal neurofibrillary tangles,in the *** NLRP3 inflammasome may play a role in the transition from amyloid-βdeposition to tau phosphorylation and *** NLRP3 is primarily found in brain microglia,and tau is predominantly located in neurons,it has been suggested that NLRP3 expressed by microglia indirectly triggers tau phosphorylation by upregulating the expression of pro-inflammatory ***,we found that neurons also express NLRP3 in vitro and in vivo,and that neuronal NLRP3 regulates tau *** biochemical methods,we mapped the minimal NLRP3 promoter and identified FUBP3 as a transcription factor regulating NLRP3 expression in *** primary neurons and the neuroblastoma cell line Neuro2.,FUBP3 is required for endogenous NLRP3 expression and tau phosphorylation only when amyloid-βis *** the brains of aged wild-type mice and a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease,FUBP3 expression was markedly increased in cortical *** analysis suggested that FUBP3 plays a role in neuron-mediated immune *** also found that FUBP3 trimmed the 5′end of DNA fragments that it bound,implying that FUBP3 functions in stress-induced *** findings suggest that neuronal NLRP3 may be more directly involved in the amyloid-β-to–phospho-tau transition than microglial NLRP3,and that amyloid-βfundamentally alters the regulatory mechanism of NLRP3 expression in *** that FUBP3 was only expressed at low levels in young wild-type mice and was strongly upregulated in the brains of aged mice and Alzheimer's disease mice,FUBP3 could be a safe therapeutic target for preventing Alzheimer's disease progression.
