A general communication performance evaluation model based on routing path decomposition

The network-on-chip (NoC) architecture is a main factor affecting the system performance of complicated multi-processor systems-on-chips (MPSoCs).To evaluate the effects of the NoC architectures on communication efficiency,several kinds of techniques have been developed,including various simulators and analytical *** simulators are accurate but time consuming,especially in large space explorations of diverse network configurations;in contrast,the analytical models are fast and flexible,providing alternative methods for performance *** this paper,we propose a general analytical model to esti-mate the communication performance for arbitrary NoCs with wormhole routing and virtual channel flow *** resolve the inherent dependency of successive links occupied by one packet in wormhole routing,we propose the routing path decomposition approach to generating a series of ordered link *** we use the traditional queuing system to derive the fine-grained transmission latency for each network *** to our experiments,the proposed analytical model provides a good approximation of the average packet latency to the simulation results,and estimates the network throughput precisely under various NoC configurations and ***,the analytical model runs about 10 5 times faster than the cycle-accurate NoC *** applications of the model including bottleneck detection and virtual channel allocation are also presented.

The functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) based on blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) contrast has emerged as one of the most potent noninvasive tools for mapping brain function and has been widely used to explore physiological, pathological changes and mental activity in the brain. Exploring the nature and property of BOLD signal has recently attracted more attentions. Despite that great progress has been made in investigation of the characteristics and neurophysiological basis, the exact nature of BOLD signal remains unclear. In this paper we discuss the characteristics of BOLD signals, the nonlinear BOLD response to external stimuli and the relation between BOLD signals and neural electrophysiological recordings. Furthermore, we develop our new opinions regarding nonlinear BOLD response and make some perspectives on future study.

Notifiable infectious disease surveillance with data collected by search engine

Notifiable infectious diseases are a major public health concern in china,causing about five million illnesses and twelve thousand deaths every *** detection of disease activity,when followed by a rapid response,can reduce both social and medical impact of the *** aim to improve early detection by monitoring health-seeking behavior and disease-related news over the ***,we counted unique search queries submitted to the Baidu search engine in 2.08 that contained disease-related search *** we counted the news articles aggregated by Baidu's robot programs that contained disease-related *** found that the search frequency data and the news count data both have distinct temporal association with disease *** adopted a linear model and used searches and news with 1–2.0-day lead time as explanatory variables to predict the number of infections and deaths attributable to four notifiable infectious diseases,i.e.,scarlet fever,dysentery,AIDS,and *** the search frequency data and news count data,our approach can quantitatively estimate up-to-date epidemic trends 10–40 days ahead of the release of Chinese Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(Chinese CDC)*** approach may provide an additional tool for notifiable infectious disease surveillance.

The asymptotic Lyapunov stability of one quasi-integrable Hamiltonian system with time-delayed feedback control is studied by using Lyapunov functions and stochastic averaging ***,a quasi-integrable Hamiltonian system with time-delayed feedback control subjected to Gaussian white noise excitation is approximated by a quasi-integrable Hamiltonian system without time ***,stochastic averaging method for quasi-integrable Hamiltonian system is used to reduce the dimension of the original system,and after that the Lyapunov function of the averaged It equation is taken as the optimal linear combination of the corresponding independent first integrals in ***,the stability of the system is determined by using the largest eigenvalue of the linearized *** examples are used to illustrate the proposed procedure and the effects of delayed time on the Lyapunov stability are discussed as well.

Exact stationary solutions independent of energy for strongly nonlinear stochastic systems of multiple degrees of freedom

A new procedure is proposed to construct strongly nonlinear systems of multiple degrees of freedom subjected to parametric and/or external Gaussian white noises, whose exact stationary solutions are independent of energy. Firstly, the equivalent Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov (FPK) equations are derived by using exterior differentiation. The main difference between the equivalent FPK equation and the original FPK equation lies in the additional arbitrary antisymmetric diffusion matrix. Then the exact stationary solutions and the structures of the original systems can be obtained by using the coefficients of antisymmetric diffusion matrix. The obtained exact stationary solutions, which are generally independent of energy, are for the most general class of strongly nonlinear stochastic systems multiple degrees of freedom (MDOF) so far, and some classes of the known ones dependent on energy belong to the special cases of them.

STEREOCHEMICAL CONTROL IN PROPYLENE polymerIZATION CATALYZED BY UNBRIDGED METALLOCENE CATALYSTS

Two unbridged metallocene catalysts, bis(2.4,7-trimethylindenyl)zirconium dichloride (met-I) and bis(2.4,6-trimethylindenyl)zirconium dichloride (met-II), which are different in the position of substituents on the six-membered ring of the indenyl ligands were synthesized. The effect of substituents in the two metallocenes on the propylene polymerization was studied in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO) and triisobutylaluminium (TIBA). From the analysis of microstructure determined by C-13-NMR, it was demonstrated that the polymers produced by met-II have higher [mmmm] isotactic sequences than that of met-I. Using a mechanism based on model statistical analysis, it was found that chain-end model was dominant for met-I. However, met-II obeys the concurrent two-sites model during polymerization, which can be attributed to the existence of 'racemic-like' conformer in its system.

Non-isothermal Melt Crystallization Kinetics of Anhydrite-Filled Polypropylene Composites

The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of polypropylene （PP）, PP/anhydrite composites were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） with various cooling rates. The Avrami analysis modified by Jeziorny and a method developed by Mo were employed to describe the non-isothermal crystallization process of these samples. The difference in the exponent n between PP and PP/anhydrite composites indicated that non-isothermal kinetic crystallization corresponded to tri-dimensional growth with heterogeneous nucleation. The values of half-time, Zc and F（T） showed that the crystallization rate increased with the increasing of cooling rates for PP and PP/anhydrite composites, but the crystallization rate of PP/anhydrite composites was faster than that of PP at a given cooling rate. The method developed by Ozawa did not describe the non-isothermal crystallization process of PP very well. Moreover, the method proposed by Kissinger was used to evaluate the activation energy of the mentioned samples. The result showed that the activation energy of PP/anhydrite was greatly larger than that of PP.

Steroid hormones play essential roles in animal growth and development. Steroid signaling in animal system is focused on the direct gene regulation response mediated by its nuclear receptors. Recently, steroid hormones are also found in plants. Identification of BRI1 — a critical compo-nent of the plasma-membrane steroid receptor complex, and the related signal transduction pathway mediated by the membrane receptor have revealed an elementary picture of BR signaling from the cell surface perception to the activa-tion of BR-responsive nuclear genes.

Surface electromagnetic modes contribution to the anomalous terahertz transmission through double-layered metal hole array

Terahertz transmission spectra through both single-layered and double-layered sub-wavelength metal hole arrays were calculated using rigorous mode-matching *** dispersion relations of the single-layered and double-layered metal hole arrays were obtained by FDTD *** are three anomalous peaks in the spectrum of the double-layered metal hole array,which arise from the three surface electromagnetic modes appearing in the dispersion *** comparing the transmission spectra and the dispersion relations of the single-layered and double-layered metal hole arrays,it was found that the two surface electromagnetic modes at higher frequencies are introduced by the single-layered metal hole array,while the one at lower frequencies is introduced by the double-layered metal hole *** validity of the analysis was qualitatively verified by the experimental *** structure can be finely designed for potential applications,such as wideband filtering.
