The Ar-Ar dating of phengite and omphacite in ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) eclogite of Bixiling and Hengchong in the South Dabie Terrain shows that the content range of excess argon is as high as (0.4-1.3)×10 8 mol· g 1. The genesis of the excess argon is discussed. The Ar-Ar age spectra of omphacite could not support the opinion that the UHP metamorphism occurred in Caledon epoch and pre-Caledon epoch.

This paper has derived the general formulae of observed line profiles based on the effects of radial velocity on the standard thin disk fluid around a rotating black hole. Through the ray-tracing method the line profiles of different parameters have been calculated. Comparison of the line profiles with and without a radial velocity shows that the effects of radial velocity on line profiles cannot be neglected in most cases. In both cases the accretive disk imaging shape remains unchanged.

In this paper, the shearing interferometer of a double-frequency grating (DFG) and a small compact Nd: YVO4 double frequency laser at 532.nm are used to study the multiple storage in azo-polymer liquid crystal (PLC) films. In a principle experiment, the angle-encoded multiple gratings are recorded and the experimental results give triplex gratings at the same region in azo-PLC films, the angle between two adjacent grating vectors being 45°. Compared to the two-beam interferometer and four-wave mixing method, this method has simple configuration, high fringe contrast and quake-proof. A compatible angular multiplexing storage system in azo-PLC films is proposed.

The reaction of 3,6-di-(3-methyl-pyridin-2.yI)-s-tetrazine (DMPTZ, II) with CeIII salt [Ce(NO3)3 · 6H2.] generates a new ligand, N-(3-methyl-pyridin-2.yl)-formimidoyl-(3-methyl-pyridin-2.yl) hydrazone (L), and forms a new complex: a mononuclear complex [Ce(L)(NO3)2.(H2.)3] · NO3 (III). Crystal data for III: space group P-1, with a = 0.7133(4) nm, b = 1.1139(2. nm, c = 1.4572.3) nm, α= 102.13(2.°, β= 99.81(3)°, γ= 91.10(3)°, Z = 2. V = 1113.6(7) nm3, μ = 2.12. mm?1 and F(000) = 630. L acts as a tri-dentate chelating ligand in III. There are 10 coordination sites around Ce3+ of III, which are respectively occupied by seven oxygen atoms (four from two nitrate anions and three from three H2. molecules) and three nitrogen atoms (all from L). The cerium atom and three chelating nitrogen atoms are coplanar. The mechanism of the metal assisted decomposition is discussed briefly.

Given a total order ? on G compatible with its group structure, and any Λ ∈ B(G) 0 * , a Verma B(G)-module M(Λ, ?) is defined, and the irreducibility of M(Λ, ?) is completely determined. Furthermore, it is proved that an irreducible highest weight B(?)-module is quasifinite if and only if it is a proper quotient of a Verma module.

This paper presents a new boundary integral equatiòn for two- dimensional elasticity with the stress component σ_(ij)t_it_j as one of the boundary values, where t_i is the direction cosine of the tangent on the *** form of BEM has an advantage in that the stress component σ_(ij)t_it_j on the boundary can be calculated directly from the numerical *** present formulation for plane problems uses two kernels,the one is logarithmically singular and the other is 1/r *** effectiveness of the approach is also discussed through test examples.

A series of ethylene oxide-butylene terephthalate (EOBT) segmented copolymers with different soft segment length and hard segment content were synthesized. The compositional heterogeneity was studied by solvent extraction. The results show that the compositional heterogeneity increases when soft segment length and hard segment content increase. The compositional heterogeneity is also reflected in the crystallization behavior and morphology of soft and hard segment in EOBT segmented copolymer. The more compositional heterogeneous the EOBT segmented copolymer is, the more different the morphology and the crystallization behavior between separated fractions. Compared with ethylene oxide-ethylene terephthalate (EOET) segmented copolymer, compositional heterogeneity in EOBT segmented copolymer is weaker. But the compositional heterogeneity in EOBT segmented copolymer with long soft segment and high hard segment content is still obvious.

Magnetic properties of Nd_(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Mn_(1-x)(Ga_x, Ti_x)O_3 system (0.04≤x≤0.4) were inves- tigated through magnetization and electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements. It was observed that a small amount of Ti substitution for Mn will destroy the charge-ordering (CO) phase completely and induce the cluster-spin-glass phase in the system, which displays a procedure of collapse of CO and of an enhancement of spin ordering (SO) phase. In contrast, the Ga substitution for Mn induces a melt- ing of CO phase in the system. It was observed that with substitution the CO phase is suppressed gradually and the remanent CO phase is retained all the while, and withal, there is a co-existence of AFM CO phase and FM SO at low temperature. In addition, an abrupt rise of magnetization was observed in M-T curves. We attributed this abnormal phenomenon to a transition from canted AFM SO to FM SO in CO region.

CT-DNA were electrochemically immobilized on the surfaces of both nano-gold modified glassy carbon electrode and bare glassy carbon electrode. The cyclic voltammetric behavior of Co (phen)(3)(3+) adsorbed on the immobilized DNA was studied. Increase in the peak current of Co (phen)(3)(3+) redox reaction was obtained on nano-gold modified glassy carbon electrode. The result suggests that more DNA molecules were immobilized on this electrode and nano-gold modification can enhance the heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant of the Co (phen)(3)(3+).

The present paper covers ab initio UHF calculations with a d, p-polarized basis set performed for eight electronic states of BH2.and the equilibrium geometries, electronic term values Tc and vibrational frequencies of the five stable states X2.1, 2.1, 2.2. 2.A1 and 2.2. On the basis of the UHF results, the states 2.B2. 2.1 and 32.1 are predicted to be unstable. The MP2.6-31G * * calculations were performed for the X2.1 and 2.1, states, and the calculated equilibrium geometries, Tc value and vibrational frequencies are similar to the UHF results. The MP2.6-31G * * studies on the reaction BH2.BH + H for the X2.1 and 2.1 states were carried out and the HB-H bond energies of these two states were calculated.
