VOLCANIC-SUBVOLCANIC rocks are extensively distributed in china, in which a series of epithermal golddeposits related to volcanism have been discovered. 1 Metallogenic tectonic settings of epithermal gold deposits The epithermal gold deposits are mainly formed under the following tectonic settings: (i) ancient island arc collision, such as Xingxingxia island arc, Armantai island arc, Beishan island arc and Jueluotage island arc, etc. in periphery of Gunggar, Altai, Baishan, etc. in ancient Europe domain; (ii) extension area of continental margin of back arc, such as Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Henlongjiang, *** circum-Pacific metallogenic domain; (iii) Mesozoic-Cenozoic island arc, such as the Tethys-Himalayametallogenic domain and Taiwan; (iV) intracontinental faulting depression or intraplate deep-seatedfaults, such as northern Hebei, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia at the north margin of the North china platformand periphery of Taicheng-Loujiang fault.

The humilith series of lignite, longflame coal, gas coal, fat coal, coking coal, lean coal, meagre coal and anthracite are measured by FIR1600 infrared spectrophotometer. The variation curve between the infrared absorption wave number of aromaticring C--C bond of vitrinite and its reflectance values are gained, which shows the shift of infrared absorption wave number of aromaticring C--C bond of humic coals towards lower wave number with the increase of coalification. It is believed that the coal rank of humilith series can be determined and more evolutional information about coal composition and structure can be obtained by the infrared spectroscopic method.

Based on the AVHRR pathfinder remote sensing data, soil moisture, precipitation and evaporation during the period of 1982.1998, soil moisture of all layers of soil-profile (0—1 m) in the Yellow River basin over the 17 years are calculated by the remote sensing model of calculating soil water. The Yellow River basin is divided into seven subcatchments as control sections at the location of six hydrologic stations (Lanzhou, Toudaoguai, Longmen, Sanmenxia, Huayuankou and Lijin). After calculating soil moisture and obtaining runoff data and precipitation data, the dynamical features of hydrological cycle in the Yellow River basin are analyzed for the period from 1982.to 1988 using water balance method. The conclusions are as follows: It is feasible to calculate the soil water on the macro-scale, in the soil profile with temporal continuity by means of remote sensing and survey in land. Some values of the key water cycle factors in the Yellow River are obtained, which include the annual precipitation of 4000 km3, the evapotranspiration of 3000-3500 km3, and the soil moisture transformation of ?500- 500 km3. Consequently, we analyzed the process of the water cycle in the Yellow River over the 17 years, and the results show that the segment upstream of Lanzhou city is a relatively humid region, and the area of internal waters and the reaches of Shanshan is the most desiccated region. Therefore, the runoff in the depth process is intensive and the runoff-generating process is weak in more arid regions.

Fluid inclusions from the Dajing and Caijiaying deposits have nearly the same homogenization temperature. Correlation between temperature and salinity shows that both Sn- and Cu-bearing fluids Sn and Cu were present in the Dajing deposit but only one kind of fluids continuously evolved in the Caijiaying deposit. Study on rare earth elements (REE) in ancient fluid from the inclusions indicates that the fluid of Sn mineralizing stage in Dajing was derived from remelting magma of the continental crust, and the fluid of Cu-Pb-Zn mineralizing stage in the Dajing deposit and the fluid of Cu-Pb-Zn mineralization in the Caijiaying deposit were derived from the mantle. It is concluded that the Cu-Pb-Zn mineralizations in the Dajing and Caijiaying deposits resulted from the identical tectono-thermal event of magma-fluids induced by Mesozoic tectonic transition and extension in the eastern part of North china Craton.

The study on the interrelation between sea-level changes and biodiversity with its evolu-tion has great significance for understanding the impact of global changes on organic evolution and exploring the inherent laws of life-environment coevolution in geological history. In this paper, the stratigraphic distribution of fusulinacean fauna in the Carboniferous-Permian boundary section at Xikou, Zhen’an County, Shaanxi Province, is analyzed quantitatively, and the relationship between the species diversity of fusulinaceans and relative sea-level changes is discussed. As a whole, the spe-cies numbers of fusulinacean fauna experience a rapid increase and an obvious decline in Xikou, Zhen’an County, from the Late Carboniferous to the Early Permian. There is a significant increase in species diversity around the Carboniferous-Permian boundary, which is one of the biggest bio-events of the fusulinacean fauna, and represents the radiation of Pseudoschwagerininae subfamily in the studied area. Integrated fusulinacean species diversity into sequence stratigraphic framework, de-tailed study suggests that the species diversity of the fusulinaceans is closely related to its relative stratigraphic location, and is essentially controlled by the sea-level changes, especially by the high-frequency sea-level changes. Generally, the species diversity of fusulinaceans is low, and the number of first and last appearance datum is small in the lower unit of high-frequency depositional cycle formed during the quick rise of the sea level; whereas the species diversity of fusulinaceans is high, and the number of first and last appearance datum is large in the upper unit of high-frequency cycle formed during the slow fall of the sea level. Within the third-order depositional sequence, the species diversity of the fusulinaceans at the first flooding surfaces and the maximum flooding surfaces is low, and it increases upward. Recent progress in the synthetic chemistry and catalysis of polyoxometalates (POMs) is reviewed. The novel POMs and their derivatives emerging in nearly three years (2.02.2.04) are introduced, including POMs with novel structure, POMs-organic hybrid compounds and host-guest complexes. Our review is focused on the elaboration of POMs' supramolecular chemistry.

The numerical method for three-dimensional impact with friction of multi-rigid-body system

The differential equations for planar impacts reduce to an algebraic form, and can be easily solved. For three dimensional impacts with friction, there is no closed-form solution, and numerical integration is required due to the swerve behavior of tangential impulse during collisions. The dynamic governing equations in the impact process are built up in impulse space based on the Lagrangian equation in this paper. The coefficient of restitution defined by Poisson is used as the condition of impact termination. A valid nu- merical method for solving three-dimensional frictional impact of multi-rigid body system is established. The singular cases of tangential movement in sticking point are especially noticed and analyzed. Several examples are present to reveal the different kinds of tan- gential movement modes varied with the normal impulse during collision.

With the swift development of economy, the water quality of beijing is becoming worse day by day and hampers the sustainable development obviously. In this paper, the current conditions of the municipal wastewater structure in the industrial sectors are analysed and discussed in terms of the indicators, such as direct wastewater\|discharge coefficient, complete wastewater\|discharge coefficient, direct discharge coefficient of COD and complete discharge coefficient of COD, by taking a year of 1990s as the base year. Some countermeasures are studied and the corresponding recommendations are put forward in order to improve the water environment in beijing. This provides a scientific ground for coordinating the relationship between the aquatic environment and economic growth in this city.

A DFT study on the reactions between CH_3C（O）O_2.nd HO_2.adicals has been carried out. It is suggested that both the triplet and singlet potential surfaces involve a complex mechanism with the formation of loosely bound intermediate complexes of reactants and products. The reaction prefers to occur on the triplet surface to produce peracetic acid (CH_3C（O）O_2.) and triplet O_2.olecule. The CH_3C（O）O_2. can further convert into CH_3C（O）O and HO radicals.
