Software structure is the most important factor affecting the quality of a *** evaluation of software structure is a foundational technique for software ***,the traditional evaluation criteria,such as "high cohesion and low coupling",are no longer appropriate for the new web applications,which are designed with a hierarchical framework.A novel approach is proposed in this paper to evaluate software quality based on the interaction and encapsulation of *** particular,two criteria for high quality software,the functional and hierarchical structure,are proposed to support widely used web *** cohesion and coupling and layer matching ratios between methods within a software package are calculated to determine whether the package is well implemented in terms of functional or hierarchical *** approach enables us to quantify the quality of a software system according to the structural types of its *** were carried out on 18 versions of Struts and six open-source software *** evaluation concurs with the intuition that minor upgrades,aimed at fixing bugs and adding minor functionality quickly,reduce software quality,whereas major upgrades,which normally clean up messy code and re-construct the software,improve software quality.

Binaphthyl-bridged bis-imidazolinium salts as N-heterocyclic carbene ligand precursors in the palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction

Two new bis-imidazolinium salts (4a, 4b) have been synthesized as precursors of N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) from the commercially available (R)-2.2.-dihydroxy-1,1′-binaphthalene. The two bis-imidazolinium salts were used as efficient precursor of NHC ancillary ligands in the palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction. Good to excellent yields and high stereoselectivities were obtained with ethyl acrylate, acrylonitrile, and acrylamide as starting materials. The structure of bis-imidazolinium salt 4b was further characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.

Climatological Characteristics of Frontogenesis and Related Circulations over East china in June and July

Based on daily precipitation data from 2.2.stations in East china and NCEP/NCAR daily global final analysis data in June and July from 2.00 to 2.10, the climatological characteristics of frontogenesis and related circulations have been analyzed. The results demonstrate that frontogenesis function distributes non- uniformly in East china. The different terms of the kinematic frontogenesis show different intensities and distributions of frontogenesis. The strongest frontogenesis integrated from different kinematic frontogenesis terms is observed in the Jianghuai area. Frontogenesis events are separated into four types as per the different shear and convergence types of horizontal wind along the strong frontogenesis band at 850 hPa. The four types include the warm shear type, cold shear type （with two subtypes）, west wind convergence type, and east wind convergence type. The events in different frontogenesis types occur with different frequencies over the past decade. The warm shear type occurs most frequently. Different types of frontogenesis have distinctive horizontal and vertical {2.s. Strong frontogenesis is featured with 340-K contour of 0se parallel to the frontal zone in the vertical. Varied large-scale circulation patterns manifested in shifted location and strength of cyclone or anticyclone, wind convergence, as well as vertical circulation {2. are associated with different types of frontogenesis. Moreover, a strong positive correlation between frontogenesis and precipitation is found, i.e., the stronger the frontogenesis, the more precipitation there is. Daily precipitation related to the warm shear type frontogenesis is the largest, and often occurs inside the frontal zone with the same orientation with the strong frontogenesis belt. The second largest daily precipitation occurs with the cold shear type frontogenesis, and related rainfall is usually observed to the south of the frontal zone, with the rain belt extending northeastward. A Case Study of 3D Protein structure Prediction with Genetic Algorithm and Tabu Search

This paper describes a case study of 3D protein structure prediction of six sequences from protein data bank （PDB） by genetic algorithm and tabu search （GATS）, where off-lattice AB model is considered as a simplified model of protein structure. The lowest-energy values required for forming the native conformation of proteins are searched by GATS, and then the coarse structures （i.e., simplified structure） of the proteins are obtained according to the multiple angle parameters corresponding to the lowest energies. All the coarse structures form single hydrophobic cores surrounded by hydrophilic residues, which stay on the right side of the actual characteristic of protein structure. It demonstrates that this approach can predict the 3D protein structure effectively.

Nonverbal and noncontact behaviors play a significant role in allowing service robots to structure their interactions *** this paper, a novel human-mimic mechanism of robot’s navigational skills was proposed for developing sociallyacceptable robotic *** on the sociological and physiological concerns of interpersonal interactions in movement,several criteria in navigation were represented by constraints and incorporated into a unified probabilistic cost grid for safemotion planning and control, followed by an emphasis on the prediction of the human’s movement for adjusting the robot’spre-collision navigational *** human motion prediction utilizes a clustering-based algorithm for modeling humans’indoor motion patterns as well as the combination of the long-term and short-term tendency prediction that takes into accountthe uncertainties of both velocity and heading *** simulation and real-world experiments verified the effectivenessand reliability of the method to ensure human’s safety and comfort in navigation.A statistical user trials study was also given tovalidate the users’favorable views of the human-friendly navigational behavior.

2.4Th was utilized as a tracer of particulate organic carbon （POC） export in the northwestern South china Sea （SCS） on the basis of the data collected at four stations during a spring cruise. Depth profiles of dissolved and particulate 2.4Th activities were measured in the upper 60m, showing a significant deficit relative to 2.Su over the investigated stations. A stratified structure of 2.4Th-2.su disequilibrium was in general observed in the upper 60 m water column, indicating that the euphotic zone of the northwestern SCS in this reason can be divided into two layers, an upper and lower layer, with different export rates. POC export fluxes were estimated from a one-dimensional steady state model of 2.4Th fluxes in combination with the measurement of POC/2.4Th ratios on suspended particles. The POC export in this region ranged from 8.2.to 2..0 mmol/（m2.d）, with an average of 16.0 mmol/（m2.d）, and was slightly higher than those previously reported in the southern SCS.

Three coding sequences of gliadins genes, designed as Gli2.Du1, Gli2.Du2.and Gli2.Du3, were isolated from thegenomic DNA of Triticum durum accessions CItr5083. Gli2.Du1 and Gli2.Du2.contain 945 and 864 bp, encoding themature proteins with 314 and 2.7 amino acid residues, respectively. Gli2.Du3 is recognized as a pseudogene due to thestop codon occurring in the coding region. The pseudogenes, commonly occurring in gliadins family, are attributed to thesingle base change C → T. The amino acid sequences deduced from these gene sequences were characterized with thetypical structure of α-gliadin proteins, including the toxic sequences (PSQQQP). The peptide fraction PF(Y)PP(Q) isthought to be an extra unit of repetitive domain, slightly diverging from the previous report. Six cysteine residues wereobserved within two unique domains. Phylogenetic analysis showed Gli2.Du2.and Gli2.Du3 were closely related to thegenes on chromosome 6A, whereas Gli2.Du1 seems to be more homologous with the genes on chromosome 6B.

Alkali-silica Reactivity of Different Aggregates from Mineral and Textural Characteristics

To identify the aggregates causing the alkali-silica reaction, and the reactivity of rocks in different parts of china, the mineral and texture characteristics of some typical coarse ag gregates and the alkali reactivity of these aggregates were systematically investigated. On one hand, petrographic examination of aggregates, combined with X-ray diffraction analysis, chemical analysis, scanning electron microscopy, was conducted for analyzing their mineralogy and texture. It was found that not only mineral characteristics, but also their interior structure would affect their potential alkali-silica reactivity. Furthermore, the alkali-silica reactivity of aggregates is due to their mineral compositions, such as containing different alkali-reactive minerals, while, different stuctures of those aggregates with similar minerals affect their reactivity to some extent. There are some amount of micro-aperture and cracks across the quartz in the aggregate, which may become the natural accesses for Na^＋, K^＋, and OH^- ions to intrude in the mortar or concrete during the process of alkali-silica reaction. Alkali-silica reactivity of the aggregates was detected by the accelerated mortar bars test. It was revealed that all the aggregates tested were alkali-silica reactive and the results were also in accordance with their mineral and structure analysis.

Electrochemical deposition of nano-structured ZnO on the nanocrystalline TiO_2.film and its characterization

One-dimensional structure of ZnO nanorod arrays on nanocrystalline TiO2.ITO conductive glass substrates has been fabricated by cathodic reduction electrochemical deposition methods in the three-electrode system,with zinc nitrate aqueous solution as the electrolyte,and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM),energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) and photoluminescence (PL) *** effects of film substrates,electrolyte concentration,deposition time,and methenamine (HMT) addition on ZnO deposition and its luminescent property were investigated in *** results show that,compared with on the ITO glass substrate,ZnO is much easily achieved by electrochemical deposition on the TiO2.nanoparticle thin *** is hexagonally structured wurtzite with the c-axis preferred growth,and further forms nanorod arrays vertically on the *** is favorable to the growth of ZnO to extend the deposition time,to increase the electrolyte concentration,and to add a certain amount of HMT in the system,consequently improving the crystallinity and orientation of ZnO *** is demonstrated that the obtained ZnO arrays with high crystallinity and good orientation display strong band-edge UV (375 nm) and weak surface-state-related green (52. nm) emission peaks.
