Tris)(η 5-cyclopentadienyl-μ-carbonyl-iron)-μ3-nitrosyl cluster was obtained from the reaction of cyclopentadienyl dicarbonyliron dimer with nitrogen monoxide in xylene. The cluster was characterized by elemental analyses, IR, MS and 1H NMR. The crystal structure of [(η5-C5H5)(μ-CO)Fe]3(μ3-NO).C4H8O was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pnma, a=9.053(2., 6=10.545(2., c=2..52.(4) A, V=2.50.3(7) A3, Z=4,Dc=1.68 ***-3; structure solution and refinement based on 1141 reflections with I > 3.0 (I) (MoKa, A=0.71073 A) converged at R=0.0540. The infrared absorption band at 132. cm-1 of the μ3-NO in the cluster, which is red shifted, shows that μ3-NO is activated.

The performance of supported and unsupported molybdenum carbide for thepartial oxidation of methane (POM) to syngas was investigated. An evaluation of the catalystsindicates that bulk molybdenum carbide has a higher methane conversion during the initial stage buta lower selectivity to CO and H_2.CO ratio in the products. The rapid deactivation of the catalystis also a significant problem. However, the supported molybdenum carbide catalyst shows a muchhigher methane conversion, increased selectivity and significantly improved catalytic stability. Thecharacterization by XRD and BET specific area measurements depict an improved dispersion ofmolybdenum carbide when using alumina as a carrier. The bulk or the supported molybdenum carbideexists in the β-MO_2. phase, while it is transformed into molybdenum dioxide postcatalysis which isan important cause of molybdenum carbide deactivation.

High oriented TiO_2.ZrO_2.composite thin films on Si (100) and glass sheet were suc- cessfully prepared by sol-gel process followed by dip-coating the ethanol solution of zirconium oxychloride and titanium tetrachloride. The sol-gel process, microstructure, morphology and tri- bological properties of TiO_2.-ZrO_2.films were investigated using TGA, DSC, XPS, XRD, AFM and dynamic-static tribometer. The results show that the TiO_2.ZrO_2.ilms are dense, homogeneous and at a complete tetragonal phase with an excellent antiwear and friction reduction performance. Un- der 0.5N applied load, the friction coefficient is 0.14-0.2. and the antiwear life is more than 5000 sliding cycles for both TiO_2.ZrO_2. AISI 52.00 steel and TiO_2.ZrO_2. Si_3N_4. SEM observation sug- gests that wear mechanism of TiO_2.-ZrO_2.composite film under low load was fatigue wear, and under high load was adhesive wear. The TiO_2.-ZrO_2.films show potential applications as coatings for antiwear and friction reduction under the harsh condition.

This paper introduces a kind of silicon-based dry electrode for measuring biological *** uses microneedle arrays to penetrate into the stratum corneum to reduce skin *** dry electrode requires neither skin preparation nor the electrolytic gel,is easy to use and causes no skin *** different technologies are chosen to manufacture microneedle arrays of dry *** is deep dry etching combined with isotropic wet *** other is mechanical dicing combined with chemical wet etching (including isotropic wet etching and anisotropic wet etching).Microneedle arrays are coated with metal and divided into 2. mm 2.as dry electrode *** testing shows that the impedance value of dry electrode can be comparable with that of commercial electrode in the 2. Hz-10 kHz frequency *** steady-state visual evoked potential recording and analysis prove that the dry electrode can be used to detect electroencephalography.
