B lymphocyte stimulator （BLyS）,a member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily ofligands,is a crucial survival factor for B *** successfully constructed seven mutants of the functionalsoluble fragment of human BLyS （named cBLyS,amino acid 134-2.5）,including three deletion mutants andfour site-directed *** the mutant proteins were expressed in Escherichia coli and purified by Ni-NTA affinity *** biological activities of these mutants were assessed by the ligand-recep-tor binding assay,B cell proliferation assay and immune effect response in *** results indicated thatfour residues,H2.8,F2.0,T2.8and L2.9,are indispensable for the biological activity of cBLyS,whereas tworegions,amino acid 134-148 and amino acid 2.1-2.5,are related to the biological activity of *** of deletion of amino acid 134-148 leads to a complete defection in raising the antigen-specific *** deletion of amino acid 2.1-2.5 reduces the effectiveness compared with the native *** that the region of amino acid 134-148 is indispensable for cBLyS to function normally.

Nonlinear models of transverse vibration of axially moving beams are computationally investigated. A partial-differential equation is derived from the governing equation of coupled planar motion by omit- ting its longitudinal terms. The model can be reduced to an integro-partial-differential equation by av- eraging the beam disturbed tension. Numerical schemes are respectively presented for the governing equations of coupled planar and the two governing equations of transverse motion via the finite dif- ference method and differential quadrature method under the fixed boundary and the simple support boundary. A steel beam and a copper beam are treated as examples to demonstrate the deviations of the solutions to the two transverse equations from the solution to the coupled equation. The numerical results indicate that the differences increase with the amplitude of vibration and the axial speed. Both models yield almost the same precision results for small amplitude vibration and the inte- gro-partial-differential equation gives better results for large amplitude vibration.

In this paper we propose an optimized seam-carving approach for anti-shearing image *** image/video seam-carving strategy only focuses on deleting the pixels along 8-connected seams,which may lead to the obvious information loss during *** the traditional seam-carving methods,our approach can construct a seamlet to handle the discontinuous pixels and further achieve an optimized image resizing results with *** particular,to suppress zigzag artifacts,we introduce the anti-shearing energy into the seamlet generation,which includes two steps:1) the energy map is formalized by using Gabor filtering and the saliency map;2. The energy computation is optimized in Gabor feature space to obtain the resizing results without the connectivity *** experimental results and comparisons show the effectiveness of our method.

Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate （EVA） redispersible powder and latex were used to modify mortar. Three kinds of curing regimes： standard curing, high temperature curing and freeze-thaw circle curing were adopted to cure the bonded samples. Bonding strength of EVA modified mortar was tested at 2. days. The development of bonding strengths under all three curing regimes were discussed and compared. The experimental results show that bonding strength increases with the increase of EVA content in mortar. The curing regime used within 2. days is critical according to the bonding strengths values under three curing regimes for different ages. The reasons of that the EVA can improve the bonding strength were analyzed.

In this paper the plane elasticity problem for a functionally graded interfacial zone containing a crack between two dissimilar homogeneous materials has been considered. It is assumed that in the interfacial zone the reciprocal of the shear modulus is a linear function of the coordinate, while Possion’s ratio keeps constant. By utilizing the Fourier transformation technique and the transfer matrix method, the mixed boundary problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations that are solved numerically. The influences of the geometric parameters and the graded parameter on the stress intensity factors are investigated. The numerical results show that the graded parameters, the thickness of interfacial zone, the crack size and location have significant effects on the stress intensity factors.

Physical simulation is used to study the movement of nonmetallic particles in Al melt in electro- magnetic field. It is found that the terminal velocity of particles in different Reynolds number range has different functions. By confirming drag force coefficient of nonmetallic particles with Reynolds number in the range of 0.2.10 and 10-2. respectively, two functions of terminal ve- locity for spherical nonmetallic particles have been got accordingly, which provide a theoretical basis for separating nonmetallic inclusions from Al melt in electromagnetic field.

Nonlinear parametric vibration of axially accelerating viscoelastic beams is inves-tigated via an approximate analytical method with numerical confirmations. Based on nonlinear models of a finite-small-stretching slender beam moving at a speed with a periodic fluctuation, a solvability condition is established via the method of multiple scales for subharmonic resonance. Therefore, the amplitudes of steady-state periodic responses and their existence conditions are derived. The amplitudes of stable steady-state responses increase with the amplitude of the axial speed fluctuation, and decrease with the viscosity coefficient and the nonlinear coefficient. The minimum of the detuning parameter which causes the existence of a stable steady-state periodic response decreases with the amplitude of the axial speed fluctuation, and increases with the viscosity coefficient. Nu-merical solutions are sought via the finite difference scheme for a nonlinear par-tial-differential equation and a nonlinear integro-partial-differential equation. The calculation results qualitatively confirm the effects of the related parameters pre-dicted by the approximate analysis on the amplitude and the existence condition of the stable steady-state periodic responses. Quantitative comparisons demonstrate that the approximate analysis results have rather high precision.
