In this paper, a new scheme that combines Space-Time Block-Coding (STBC) based on an Alamouti-like scheme and the Least Squares (LS) channel estimation using optimal training sequences in Cyclic-Prefix-based (CP)\Single-Carrier (SC) systems is proposed. With two transmit antennas, based on Cramer-Rao lower bound for channel estimation, it is shown that the Periodic Comple- mentary Set (PCS) is optimal over frequency-selective fading channels. Compared with the normal scheme without STBC, 3dB Mean Square Error (MSE) performance gains and fewer restrictions on the length of channel impulse response are demonstrated.

The full-length cDNAs of two novel T-superfamily conotoxins,Lp5.1 and Lp5.2.were clonedfrom a vermivorous cone snail Conus leopardus using 3'/5'-rapid amplification of cDNA *** cDNA ofLp5.1 encodes a precursor of 65 residues,including a 2.-residue signal peptide,a 2.-residue propeptide anda 15-residue mature ***5.1 is processed at the common signal site -X-Arg- immediately before themature peptide *** the case of Lp5.2.the precursor includes a 2.-residue signal peptide anda 43-residue sequence comprising the propeptide and mature peptide,which is probably cleaved to yield a2.-residue propeptide and a 14-residue mature *** these two conotoxins share a similar signalsequence and a conserved disulfide pattern with the known T-superfamily,the pro-region and mature peptidesare of low identity,especially Lp5.2.with an identity as low as 10.7% compared with the reference *** elucidated cDNAs of these two toxins will facilitate a better understanding of the species distribution,the sequence diversity of T-superfamily conotoxins,the special gene structure and the evolution of thesepeptides.

Cycling of phosphorus in the Jiaozhou Bay

Dissolved inorganic phosphorus （DIP ）,dissolved organic phosphorus （DOP ）,particulate inorganic phosphorus （P IP ） and particulate organic phosphorus （P OP ） in the Jiaozhou Bay （JZB） and its adjacent major rivers were analyzed during 2.01–*** was the major form of dissolved phosphorus in JZB,representing 62.–83% of the total dissolved phosphorus （T DP ）,and the P IP concentration generally exceeded the P OP *** concentrations of phosphorus were higher in the north than in the south of the bay,which were related to the fluvial input and water exchange *** dissolved phosphorus concentrations were higher in the autumn and spring than in the summer,while the seasonal variation of particulate phosphorus showed opposite *** distribution of phosphorus is mainly affected by the growth of phytoplankton,desorption/adsorption of DIP from and to particulates,and anthropogenic activities.A preliminary phosphorus budget was *** JZB,riverine input and water exchange flow between JZB and the Huanghai （Yellow） Sea are the major sources of phosphorus,followed by industrial and domestic waste transport,and then atmospheric *** burial efficiency is estimated to be 91%.About 52.2.× 10 6 mol/a of phosphorus were assimilated by phytoplankton,of which about 68% was recycled in the water column and sediment.

In this study, a series of acrylic ester resins with different pore size distribution were prepared successfully by varying the type and the amount of pore-forming agents. In order to inves-tigate the adsorption behavior and mechanism of surfactants on acrylic ester resins, three kinds of surfactants were utilized as adsorbates that were sodium 6-dodecyl benzenesulfonate (6-NaDBS), sodium 1-dodecyl benzene sulfonate (1-NaDBS) and sodium 1-dodecyl sulfonate, respectively. It was observed that the surface area was available in a particular pore size and an appropriate pore size of resins appeared to be more important for the adsorption of surfactants. As compared to commercial acrylic ester resins XAD-7 and HP2.G, 50# and 38# resins exhibited more excellent adsorption properties toward 1-NaDBS and 6-NaDBS. The experimental equilibrium data were fitted to the Langmuir, and double-Langmuir models. Two models provided very good fittings for all resins over the temperature range studied. The investigation indicated that electrostatic attraction and hydrogen bond between resins and surfactants were the main forces and had an obvious effect on adsorption proc-ess.

Reverse engineering dealing with images is traditionally based on image processing and contour recognition. A new method is presented based on the combination of sectional slicing with image mosaic. Sectional contours of the target object are generated by colorful liquid or laser scanning, these images from different views are fused into a set of complete cross-sectional images, thereby the whole practical model is reconstructed in 3D space.

Large-scale urban events like the Olympic Games,the World Expo,etc.,have brought about an "approach" leading to renewed conservation measures for old city *** they make many heritages receive better protection,they also create new problem of "threshold" to heritage conservation;thus,ideas about the effects of large-scale urban events on cultural heritage preservation are polarized into two opposite *** cultural anthropology as the basis of analysis,this article interprets how these conflicting concepts came to *** large-scale urban events accelerate and strengthen urban development,they also often cause the abandonment of specific cultural elements during the process of heritage conservation for the oldest city *** leads to a general loss of direction in cultural protection efforts.A potential solution is to unearth the cultural spirit of the old cities and preserve it through practical technologies,in considering the specific function of large-scale urban *** so doing,it is possible to explore new directions and approaches to conserve the heritages of the old city under the guide of urban cultural development strategies.

Cellular functions, either under the normal or pathological conditions or under different stresses, are the results of the coordinated action of multiple proteins interacting in macromolecular complexes or assemblies. The precise determination of the specific composition of protein complexes, especially using scalable and high-throughput methods, represents a systematic approach toward revealing particular cellular biological functions. In this regard, the direct profiling protein-protein interactions (PPIs) represent an efficient way to dissect functional pathways for revealing novel protein functions. In this review, we illustrate the technological evolution for the large-scale and precise identification of PPIs toward higher physiologically relevant accuracy. These techniques aim at improving the efficiency of complex pull-down, the signal specificity and accuracy in distinguishing specific PPIs, and the accuracy of identifying physiological relevant PPIs. A newly developed streamline proteomic approach for mapping the binary relationship of PPIs in a protein complex is introduced.
