We present an estimation of depth of anomalous bodies using normalized full gradient （NFG） of gravity anomaly. Maxima in the NFG map can locate the bodies and indicate their depth. Model calculation using a sphere and application of the NFG method to gravity anomalies over salt domes in the USA and Denmark shows effectiveness of the method. However, the accuracy of depth estimation strongly depends on the number of term N in the Fourier series used to calculate the NFG. An optimum N for the calculation can be given from a test.

Their heavy dependence on minerals, a relatively undiversified industrial structure, seriously damaged ecological environment and the rather low degree of openness have all reduced their competitiveness, and severely constrained and hindered their sustainable development. In this paper the authors will study mining-based cities from the perspective of sustainable development, first by having a critical review of their features, and then by researching into strategic options to support their sustainable development.

A novel method is introduced for self-calibration and elimination of systematic errors for a position and orientation system (POS). The method uses a combined bundle block adjustment with POS data (named the POS-supported bundle block adjustment) without a calibration field. On the basis of delivering strict observation equations for POS data, the specific scheme of compensating the translation and drift systematic errors in a POS is given, and a prototype system WuCAPS is developed. The effects of eliminating POS systematic errors using the POS-supported bundle block adjustment for different ground control conditions are tested using two sets of actual aerial photos. The first set was taken over a flat region in the suburbs of the city of Yingkou in china and tested at a scale of 1:2.00. The second set was taken over a high mountainous region in the desert region of Xinjiang in china and tested at a scale of 1:32.000. The empirical results verified that the POS systematic errors can be completely eliminated and the photo elements of exterior orientation obtained by the POS-supported bundle block adjustment can satisfy the requirements of aerial photogrammetric topographic mapping when four full ground control points (GCPs) are emplaced in the corners of the adjustment block for large-scale images of flat regions, but only one full GCP emplaced in the center of the adjustment block is needed for medium-small scale images of mountainous regions. This not only demonstrates the validity of the established mathematical model and the feasibility of the method proposed in this paper, but also avoids the use of a special calibration field. Therefore, it can simplify the existing POS operation rules and dramatically save on practical application costs, laying the theoretical foundation for widespread use of POS.

The objective of this paper is to optimize the parameters of pellet drying and preheating process in grate.A mathematical model of drying and preheating is developed,and is verified by the ***,the operating parameters of wind temperature,wind speed,grate speed and bed depth *** investigated through the orthogonal method using the simulation *** a relationship of drying,preheating effects and operating parameters is *** results show that the optimization effect can be achieved in the given range when air velocity is about 3.0 m/s and temperature is about 300,500,800,and 1 100 in the updraft drying zone,downdraft drying zone,preheating Ⅰ zone,and preheating Ⅱ zone *** work is help for saving energy and reducing emissions in pellet induration.

This paper aims at improving the braking ability and reliability of disc brakes. Based on some braking tests of the disc brake, an intelligent forecasting model for its tribological properties was established firstly by the artificial neural network （ANN） technology. Its input layer contains three braking cells: braking pressure, sliding velocity and surface temperature. And its output layer contains three tribological cells: friction coefficient and its stability coefficient, and wear rate. Secondly, an intelligent forecasting system was developed based on the model. It is mainly composed of three parts: sensing system, data collecting system, and data computing system. Finally, the disc brake used in mine hoists was tested on the system as an example. It is shown that the experimental data which contain nonlinear relationships between the braking conditions and tribological properties of disc brake are theoretical foundations of the tribological forecasting. The ANN is especially suitable for establishing the tribological forecasting model. And the optimized BP network is proved as a simple and effective computing model. The intelligent model and system established in this paper has quite favorable forecasting ability and practicability. By the contrast, it has higher precision for forecasting of the friction coefficient and its stability coefficient than the wear rate. The difference was attributed to man-made testing errors of data samples during tribological experiments.

Aimed at shortcomings of inaccurate testing,too many sensors,complicated installation in the present parameter test of hoist braking system,in this paper,a new method is presented to detect hoist braking system parameters based on dynamic equation and speed chart,which doesn’t use any other sensors except rotary *** method is verified through MCU LPC2.38 based on ARM core and its auxiliary circuit,software and rotary *** realization is easy and ***’s precision is very high.

Usually multiple quality of service (QoS) guarantees are required in most multicast applications. This paper presents a multiple con-straints algorithm for multicast traffic engineering in mobile ad hoc networks (MANET). The proposed algorithm is a new version of multiple constraints QoS multicast routing optimization algorithm in MANET based on genetic algorithm (MQMGA). The proposed MQMGA can optimize the maximum link utilization, the cost of the multicast tree, the selection of the long-life path, the average delay and the maximum end-to-end delay. Experimental result shows that the approach is efficient, has promising performance in multicast traffic engineering and for evaluating the route stability in dynamic mobile networks.
