With the increase in mining depth, mine heat harm has appeared to be more prominent. The mine heat harm could be resolvedor reduced by ice refrigeration. Thus, ice transportation through pipeline becomes a critical problem; typically flowresistance occurs in the elbow. In the present study, according to the analysis of the surface morphology of fish scale, abiomimetic functional surface structure for the interior wall of elbow is designed. Based on the theory of liquid-solid two phaseflow, a CFD numerical simulation of ice-water mixture flowing through the elbow is carried out using finite element *** experiments of pressure drop and flow resistance for both bionic and common elbows are conducted to test theeffect of the bionic elbow on flow resistance reduction. It is found that with the increase in the ice mass fraction in the ice-watermixture, the effect of bionic elbow on resistance reduction becomes more obvious.

Nitrogen content features of several indigenous evergreen and decidous tree species in Chongqing region

To aid to reveal the basic physiological differences existing between evergreen and deciduous plants, so as to facilitate our understanding of relationships between physiological features of evergreen & deciduous plants and their corresponding growth and biomass production, nitrogen content patterns of four indigenous tree species in Chongqing region including evergreen and deciduous plants growing in optimal conditions were analyzed. It is shown that leaf nitrogen content of deciduous tree species was significantly higher than that of evergreen tree species. Based on this result, it can be inferred that researched evergreen and deciduous tree species had basic differences in their leaf nitrogen content. There were no significant differences appeared between studied evergreen and deciduous tree species on nitrogen content of branches and stems. Compared with branch and stem, leaves had highest nitrogen content unexceptionally for all researched plants regardless of species. Nitrogen content of stems decreased with the age of stem for all investigated evergreen and deciduous species.

Conceptual design, data model and key techniques of "Geo-engineer 3. assistant", an underground 3. GIS oriented to geology and mine application, were discussed. In particular, the importance of high-order smoothing triangular pieces to surface's fine expression in geological modeling was emphasized. The contour mode is the most favorite mode of the three modes about surface expression: DEM, TIN and contour. Topology in underground 3. modeling with CAGD was compared. From the view of boundary and coboundary, which is soul of IS 19107 (Geographic information spatial schema), 3. underground topology was re-examined.

Polarizable electrodes of electric double layer capacitor (EDLCs) were made from carbon nanotubes. Effects of different binders, which are phenolic resin (PF) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), on the properties of polarizable electrodes are studied. Results indicate that the microstructure, pore size distribution and specific capacitance of the electrodes with PTFE binder are superior to those electrodes with PF binder after carbonization. The suitable binder (PTFE) for carbon nanotubes electrodes is proposed.

Preparation of PLL-PEG-PLL and its application to DNA encapsulation

PLL-PEG-PLL was synthesized by deprotection of the amino group of PLL(Z)-PEG-PLL(Z). The properties of the polyion complex (PIC) micelles comprising of PLL-PEG-PLL and DNA were investigated. The results showed that the core of PIC was formed by PLL and DNA through electrostatic interactions, and PEG was shell of PIC, so PIC micelles in aque- ous medium were homogenous with no precipitation even under the neutral condition, and PIC had the characteristic of stability, which were very important in gene therapy. At the same time, the results showed PLL-PEG-PLL could condense DNA, longer PLL blocks were generally more effective at condensation, and the nuclease resistance of DNA was increased remarkably. PIC was spherical with diameter of 10―3. nm, which could be easily taken up by cells. Transfection experiments in vitro showed that the DNA encapsulated could be expressed in the cell line SF9.
