An extended subequation rational expansion method is presented and used to construct some exact,analyt-ical solutions of the (2.1)-dimensional cubic nonlinear Schrdinger *** our results,many known solutionsof the (2.1)-dimensional cubic nonlinear Schrdinger equation can be recovered by means of some suitable selections ofthe arbitrary functions and arbitrary *** computer simulation,the properties of new non-travelling waveand coefficient function's soliton-like solutions,and elliptic solutions are demonstrated by some plots.

Nanoqiter flowrate measurements in micro-tubes with displacement method were performed and the effect of capillarity force on the accuracy was investigated through lab experiments and theoretical analysis in this article. The experiments were conducted under the pressure drops ranging from 1 kPa to 10 kPa in a circular pipe with a diameter of 50 pm, to give the pressure-flowrate （P-Q） relation and verify the applicability of the classical Hagen-Poiseuille （HP） formula. The experimental results showed that there existed a discrepancy between the experimental data and the theoretical values predicted by the HP formula if the capillary effect was not considered, which exceeded obviously the limit of the system error. And hence a modified formula for the relation, taking the capillary effect into account, was presented through theoretical deduction, and after the HP formula had been modified the error was proved to be less than 3%, which was permitted in comparison with the system error. It was also concluded that only by eliminating the effect of the capillary force in experiments could the original HP formula be employed to predict the pressure-flowrate relation in the Hagen-Poiseuille flow in the micro-tube.

nonlinear models of transverse vibration of axially moving beams are computationally investigated. A partial-differential equation is derived from the governing equation of coupled planar motion by omit- ting its longitudinal terms. The model can be reduced to an integro-partial-differential equation by av- eraging the beam disturbed tension. Numerical schemes are respectively presented for the governing equations of coupled planar and the two governing equations of transverse motion via the finite dif- ference method and differential quadrature method under the fixed boundary and the simple support boundary. A steel beam and a copper beam are treated as examples to demonstrate the deviations of the solutions to the two transverse equations from the solution to the coupled equation. The numerical results indicate that the differences increase with the amplitude of vibration and the axial speed. Both models yield almost the same precision results for small amplitude vibration and the inte- gro-partial-differential equation gives better results for large amplitude vibration.

The genetic requirements for the transcription of glnA,encoding the major glutaminesynthetase in a rifamycin SV-producing Amycolatopsis mediterranei strain,U32.were *** experiments showed that the promoter of U32.glnA （pglnA） was likely to have two transcriptioninitiation sites:P1and P2.located 157 and 45 nucleotides （nt） upstream of the translational start codon,*** mobility shift and DNase I footprinting analyses revealed a 30 bp cis-element locatedat 45 to 75 nt downstream of P1,or 38 to 68 nt upstream of *** sequence of the cis-element displayedhigh similarity to the corresponding regions of pglnA from Streptomyces coelicolor and *** as a reporter gene,the expression levels of U32.pglnA and its deletion derivatives under differentnitrogen-source conditions were analyzed by detecting the catechol dioxygenase activities in ***54,*** J508 and *** FS10 （glnR mutant）.These in vivo studies showed that theactivation of U32.pglnA in *** required GlnR,and its binding to the U32.pglnA was furtherconfirmed by the gel mobility shift *** and heterologous expression of the U32.glnR allowed usto detect the in vitro interaction between the U32.GlnR and the corresponding pglnA *** shown by in vivo glnR inactivation and complementation indicated that GlnR is essential for theactive transcription of glnA in U32.

A novel and simple one-step, solid state reaction of multicomponent systems has been developed to synthesize cyclopentadienyl-containing organolanthanide complexes, in which the effects of the coordinated solvent molecules and the nature of the reactants were also studied. We also studied the solid state decomposition reaction of Cp2.bPz(HPz), and the formation of [CpYb(Pz)2.2.may indicate that the constrained environment in solid state can lead to a novel chemical transformation, with product selectivity possibly different from that in the liquid phase.

The earliest Chinese ancient glasses before the West Han Dynasty (2.0 BC) from different regions are studied. The glass samples were unearthed from Hunan, Hubei, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Guangdong and Xinjiang of china. The chemical composition of these glasses samples is analyzed by proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) technique, energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) method and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). It is shown that the glass chemical compositions belong to barium-lead silicate BaO-PbO-SiO2. potash soda lime silicate K2. (Na2.)-CaO-SiO2.(K2./Na2.>1), soda potash lime silicate Na2. (K2.)-CaO-SiO2.(K2./Na2.2.-SiO2.glass systems, respectively. The origins of the earliest Chinese ancient glasses are discussed from the archaeological and historical points of view. These four types of Chinese ancient glasses were all made in Chinese territory using local raw materials. The glass preparation technology was related to the Chinese ancient bronze metallurgy and protoporcelain glaze technology. The glass technology relationship between the East and the West is analyzed at the same time.

A new constant-pressure molecular dynamics (MD) method is developed to simulate the dynamic behavior and structure transition of finite system under external pressure. In this method, no artificial parameter is introduced and the computation overheads are very small. As an application, a hard-soft transition of single wall carbon nanotube (SWCNT) under external pressure is found, which is in agreement with the experiments.
