By using a new reaction model for light nuclei,the double-differential cross section of n+14N reactions atE_n=14.2.MeV has been *** the case of n+（14）N reactions,the reaction mechanism is cery complex,there areover one hundred opened partial reaction channels even at incident energy En=14.2.*** this paper the openedreaction channels are listed in detail. With LUNF code the model calculation is performed to analyze the double-differential cross sections of total outgoing neutron. The calculated results agree fairly with the experimenal *** indicate that the pre-equilibrium mechanism mechanism dominates the whole reation processes,and the recoil effect in lightnuclear reactions is essentially important.5He emission has been considered,but it is only a small contribution to thedonble-differential cross section at incident energy En=14.2.MeV.

By means of the nuclear parton distribution studied only with lepton deep-inelastic scattering experimentaldata,the J/φ"normal nuclear absorption"and energy loss effects are studied in a Glauber formalism at HERA andRHIC *** that the absorption cross section σincreases with the charmonium-nucleon center of massenergy,the results reveal a significant dependence of the σon rapidity y at RHIC *** initial-state energyloss effect,which is found important only at HERA energies,is also considered,and its influence should be eliminatedwhen we studied the absorption effect at low collision ***,we also present the theoretical prediction forLHC.

In the framework of KMT multiple scattering theory,an optical potential for the intermediate energyproton-;O elastic scattering is presented based on the α particle model of;*** differential cross sections,theanalyzing powers,and the total cross sections of the intermediate energy proton-;O scattering have been calculated byusing the obtained optical *** main features of the measured angular distributions of the cross section and theanalyzing power can be well *** calculated total cross sections are in good agreement with the experimentaldata at energies be{2. 0.7 GeV and underestimate the data about 8% at higher energies.

The relatively new technique of coherent electromagnetic radiation, in the region of 10 Hz, has potential to detect the nature of low energy processes in {2., chemistry and biomedicine. In this review article, an overview of recent progress of terahertz (THz) science and technology is presented. The development of the THz generation and detection system, the THz radiation applications which include THz time-domain spectroscopy and T-ray imaging, and the future potential of THz wave research are discussed.

The newly developed full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (LAPW) and local orbitals (lo) based on standard APW methods are briefly introduced, and the structure and magnetic properties of R(Fe, Si)12.compounds (R = Y, Nd) are calculated using the method. The distribution of Si at different sites is analyzed based on total energy of one crystal unit with structure having been optimized. The characters of magnetic mo-ments, total density of states (TDOS) and partial density of states (PDOS) for different crystal sites Si occupies are obtained and analyzed. The results show that the total mag-netic moments of RFe10Si2.(R = Y, Nd) are larger than those of RFe10M2.(M = Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Mo and W) and the hybridization mechanism is seen as follows. Si(8j) reduce the mag-netic moments of Fe at three sites, however, Si(8f) mainly reduce the magnetic moments of Fe(8i) and Fe(8j) atoms. The Curie temperature is markedly enhanced by the introduc-tion of Si atoms according to spin fluctuation of DOS at Fermi level.

Dilution enthalpies of sodium chloride and some monosaccharides (glucose, galactose, xylose, arabinose, and fructose) in water and mixing enthalpies of aqueous sodium chloride and these monosaccharide solutions were measured by using an improved precision semimicro-titration calorimeter. Transfer enthalpies of sodium chloride from water to aqueous saccharide solutions were evaluated as well as enthalpy interaction parameters of sodium chloride with these monosaccharides in water. Combined with Gibbs energy interaction parameters, entropy interaction parameters were also obtained. The results show that interactions of the saccharides with sodium chloride depend on the stereochemistry of saccharide molecules. These interaction parameters can identify stereochemical structure of saccharide molecules. Improvement of tribological behavior of a Ti-Al-V alloy by nitrogen ion implantation

The tribological properties especially wear and hardness of a Ti-Al-V alloy with nitrogen implantation (energy 60 keV) were investigated. The implantation was carried out at fluences range from 1×1016 to 4×1017 ions/cm2. Glancing angle X-ray diffraction (GAXRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses were performed to obtain surface characterization of the implanted sample. The unimplanted and implanted samples were also annealed at 600 ℃ in order to understand the influence of annealing on the tribological properties of Ti-Al-V. The hardness shows significant improvement at the higher fluence. After annealing at 600 ℃, the friction coefficient exhibits a relative decrease for the nitrogen-implanted samples. In addition, the wear rates of the implanted samples exhibits a great decrease after annealing at 600 ℃. Nature of the surface and reason for the variation and improvement in wear resistance were discussed in detail.
