β-delayed proton decays near the proton drip line

We briefly reviewed the experimental study on a-delayed proton decays near the proton drip line published by our group during the period of 1996―2.04, namely the first observation of the a-delayed proton decays of 9 new nuclides in the rare-earth region and the new measurements of a-delayed proton decays of 5 nuclides in the mass ～90 region near the N = Z line with the aid of the “p-?” coincidence in combination with a He-jet tape transport system. In the meantime some important experimental technique details were supplemented. The experimental results, including the half -lives, spins, parities, deformations and production reaction cross sections for the 14 nuclei were summarized and compared with the current nuclear-model predictions, and then the following points were represented. (1) The experimental half-lives for 85Mo and 92.h as well as the predicted “waiting point” nuclei 89Ru and 93Pd are 5―10 times longer than the theoretical predictions given by M?ller et al. using a macroscopic-microscopic model. It considerably influences the predictions of the abundances of the nuclides produced in the rp-process. (2. The current-model predictions are not consistent with the experimental assignments of the spins and parities for the proton drip-line nuclei 142.o and 12.Pm. However, the nuclear potential energy surface (PES) calculated by using a Woods- Saxon-Strutinsky method reproduced the experimental results. (3) The Alice code overestimated the production reaction cross sections of the studied 9 rare-earth nuclei by one order of magnitude or two, while HIVAP code overestimated them by one order of magnitude approximately.

By means of dimension-decreasing method and cell-decomposition,a practical algorithm is proposed to decide the positivity of a certain class of symmetric polynomials,the numbers of whose elements are *** is a class of mechanically decidable problems beyond Tarski *** implement the algorithm,a program nprove written in maple is developed which can decide the positivity of these polynomials rapidly.

theoretical calculations of the energy bands in nucleus 102.Zr are carried out by taking the projected shell model approach, which has reproduced the experimental data. In addition, by analyzing band-head energies, corresponding configurations of yrast band, quasi-particle rotational bands and side bands, we have worked out the microscopic formation mechanism of axially symmetric deformation bands: The low-excitation deformation bands are attributed to the high-j intruder states 1g 7/2.and 1h 11/2.in the N=4, 5 shells; the quasi-particles in the orbit v5/2.[532., v3/2.[411] and v3/2.[413] in particular play an important role in the deformation of 102.Zr.

Quantum secret sharing between multiparty and multiparty with four states

A protocol of quantum secret sharing between multiparty and multiparty with four states was presented. It was shown that this protocol can nullify the Trojan horse attack with a multi-photon signal, the fake-signal attack with Einstein-Podolsky- Rosen pairs, the attack with single photons, and the attack with invisible photons. In addition, the upper bounds of the average success probabilities were given for dishonest agent eavesdropping encryption using the fake-signal attack with any two-particle entangled states.

ZnO adsorption on sapphire (0001) surface is theoretically calculated by using a plane wave ultrasoft pseudo-potential method based on ab initio molecular dynamics. The results reveal that the surface relaxation in the first layer Al-O is reduced, even eliminated after the surface adsorption of ZnO, and the chemical bonding energy is 434.3(±38.6) kJ·mol?1. The chemical bond of ZnO (0.185 ± 0.01 nm) has a 30° angle away from the adjacent Al-O bond, and the stable chemical adsorption position of the Zn is deflected from the surface O-hexagonal symmetry with an angle of about 30°. The analysis of the atomic populations, density of state and bonding electronic density before and after the adsorption indicates that the chemical bond formed by the O2.of the ZnO ? and the surface Al3+ has a strong ionic bonding characteristic, while the chemical bond formed by the Zn2. and the surface O2.has an obvious covalent characteristic, which ? comes mainly from the hybridization of the Zn 4s and the O 2. and partially from that of the Zn 3d and the O 2..

A metro map is usually optimized for the readability of connections and transportation networks *** order to assure good readability and meet aesthetic considerations,a set of principles for good metro map layout are *** to these principles,a new methodology based on dynamic segmentation is presented to produce the metro maps ***,routes are constructed according to the line attribute similarity and geometry *** a set of cartographic generalization methods about the shape,angle,length,and topology are presented for these *** method is validated by Beijing metro plan *** the experiment results,it can be concluded that this new method is more effective than the static segmentation method to produce metro maps with better readability for route plans.

theoretical study on thermal decomposition of azoisobutyronitrile in ground state

The thermal decomposition mechanisms of azoisobutyronitrile (AIBN) in the ground state have been investigated systematically. Based on the potential energy surfaces (PES) of various possible dissociation paths obtained using the semiempirical AM1 method with partial optimization, the density function theory B3LYP/6-311G* method was employed to optimize the geometric parameters of the reactants, the intermediates, the products and the transition states, which were further confirmed by the vibrational analysis. The obtained results show that the re- action process of the two-bond (three-body) simultaneous cleavage Me2.CN)C─ N=N─ C(CN)Me2. 2.e2.CN)C?+N2.is much more favorable than the reaction process of the two one- bond asynchronous cleavage Me2.CN)CN=N─C(CN)Me2.? Me2.CN)CN=N?+ Me2.CN)C?? Me2.CN)C?+ N2. It was suggested that the electron shrinking effect of double bond (─N=N─) in AIBN and the stabilities of the Me2.CN)C?radical as well as N2.molecule are main factors of leading to the reaction proceeding in the former pathway. The calculation results were consistent with all the experimental facts.

A photometric study of the K-type contact binary EI CVn

We present charge-coupled device （CCD） photometry for the short-period K-type binary EI CVn,observed on 2.09 February 2. at the Xinglong Station of National Astronomical Observatories,Chinese Academy of *** using the Wilson-Devinney program,the photometric solution was first deduced from our V R *** results show that EI CVn is a W-type weak-contact binary with a mass ratio of qph=0.2.34（±0.0010） and an overcontact degree of f=2..0%（±0.7%）.The distorted light curves were modeled by a dark spot on the cool primary component,whose area was up to 1.9% of the area of the *** on the period analysis,it is found that there exists a weak secular decrease at a rate of dP/dt= 3.11（±0.03） × 10-7 d yr-1,which may be attributed to mass transfer from the primary to the *** mass transfer occurring,the separation between both components will shrink,which may cause the degree of overcontact to ***,the weak-contact binary EI CVn may evolve into a deep-contact configuration.

We study the nonlinear dynamics of two-component Bose-Einstein condensates in one-dimensional pe-riodic optical lattice *** stationary state perturbation solutions of the coupled two-component nonlinearSchr?dinger/Gross-Pitaevskii equations are constructed by using the direct perturbation *** analysisrevels that the perturbation solution is the chaotic one,which indicates the existence of chaos and chaotic region inparameter *** corresponding numerical calculation results agree well with the analytical *** applying thechaotic perturbation solution,we demonstrate the atomic spatial population and the energy distribution of the systemare chaotic generally.
