Iodine-modified calcium-based rice husk ash sorbents （I2.CaO/RHA） were synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, and N2.isotherm adsorption/desorption. Adsorption experiments of vapor-phase elemental mercury （Hg^0） were performed in a laboratory-scale fixed-bed reactor. I2.CaO/RHA performances on Hg^0 adsorption were compared with those of modified Cabased fly ash sorbents （I2.CaO/FA） and modified fly ash sorbents （I2.FA）. Effects of oxidant loading, supports, pore size distribution, iodine impregnation modes, and temperature were investigated as well to understand the mechanism in capturing Hg^0. The modified sorbents exhibited reasonable efficiency for Hg^0 removal under simulated flue gas. The surface area, pore size distribution, and iodine impregnation modes of the sorbents did not produce a strong effect on Hg^0 capture efficiency, while fair correlation was observed between Hg^0 uptake capacity and iodine concentration. Therefore, the content of 12.impregnated on the sorbents was identified as the most important factor influencing the capacity of these sorbents for Hg^0 uptake. Increasing temperature in the range of 80-140℃ caused a rise in Hg^0 removal. A reaction mechanism that may explain the experimental results was presumed based on the characterizations and adsorption study.

Ni0.4Cu0.2.n0.4Fe2.4 thin films were fabricated on Si substrates by using the sol-gel method and rapid thermal annealing （RTA）, and their magnetic properties and crystalline structures were investigated. The samples calcined at and above 600 ℃ have a single-phase spinel structure and the average grain size of the sample calcined at 600 ℃ is about 2. nm. The initial permeability μi, saturation magnetization M and coercivity H of the samples increase with the increasing calcination temperature. The sample calcined at 600 ℃ exhibits an excellent soft magnetic performance, which has μi=33.97 （10 MHz）, Hc=15.62.Oe and Ms=2.8.877 emu/cm^3. Low-temperature annealing can enhance the magnetic properties of the samples. The work shows that using the sol-gel method in conjunction with RTA is a promising way to fabricate integrated thin-film devices.

Application of embedded systems is faced with multiple threats against security. To solve this problem, this article proposes a new program memory encryption mechanism （PEM） to enhance the security of embedded processor. The new mechanism encrypts all the programs via a secure cache structure. It not only caches the instructions read from the off-chip memory, but also stores the pad values used to encrypt the plaintext. It effectively accelerates encryption and reduces the performance overhead. Besides the encryption, PEM also monitors the program modifications and reset behaviors to reduce the risk of vicious tamper. The experiment indicates that PEM has an average of 2.3 % performance improvement and results in a 2..71% power reduction in the write-back stage. The new scheme offers a good balance between performance and security. It is fully practicable for embedded processor.

Constructing a family of generalized Lyapunov functions, a new method is proposed to obtain new global attractive set and positive invariant set of the Lorenz chaotic system. The method we proposed greatly simplifies the complex proofs of the two famous estimations presented by the Russian scholar Leonov. Our uniform formula can derive a series of the new estimations. Employing the idea of intersection in set theory, we extract a new Leonov formula-like estimation from the family of the estimations. With our method and the new estimation, one can confirm that there are no equilibrium, periodic solutions, almost periodic motions, wandering motions or other chaotic attractors outside the global attractive set. The Lorenz butterfly-like singular attractors are located in the global attractive set only. This result is applied to the chaos control and chaos synchronization. Some feedback control laws are obtained to guarantee that all the trajectories of the Lorenz systems track a periodic solution, or globally stabilize an unstable (or locally stable but not globally asymptotically stable) equilibrium. Further, some new global exponential chaos synchronization results are presented. Our new method and the new results are expected to be applied in real secure communication systems.

Tissue P systems are distributed parallel and non-deterministic computing models in the framework of membrane computing, which are inspired by intercellular communication and cooperation between neurons. Recently, cell separation is introduced into tissue P systems, which enables systems to generate an exponential workspace in a polynomial time. In this work, the computational power of tissue P systems with cell separation is investigated. Specifically, a uniform family of tissue P systems with cell separation is constructed for effciently solving a well-known NP-complete problem, the partition problem.

This article puts forward a novel channel estimation and inter-carrier interference（ICI） suppression method for time-varying orthogonal frequency division multiplexing（OFDM） *** proposed adaptive finite impulse response（FIR） filter utilizes the time domain correlation of the *** on the one order auto-regressive（AR） model,a modified Kalman filter is exploited to track the channel *** solving the Yule-Walker equation,the coefficient of the AR process can be obtained from zero order Bessel ***,when the channel is assumed not perfectly known,the above criterion will lead to an impractical *** deal with it,the coefficient of the AR process is taken as a *** a new state space model is deduced and *** results show that the proposed method can work effectively at the speed of 144 km/h with a phase noise of -85 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz *** proposed method yields an improvement bit error rate（BER） compared with three of the existing algorithms with much lower complexity.
