Risk Factors Asscociated with Hypokalemia during Postanesthesia Recovery and Its Impact on Outcomes in Gynecological Patients:A Propensity Score Matching Study

Objective:This study aimed to explore the risk factors and outcomes of hypokalemia during the recovery period from anesthesia in the gynecological ***:This retrospective cohort study included 2.8 patients who underwent gynecological surgery at our institution between January 2.2. and March *** were collected for each patient,including demographics,disease status,surgical data,and clinical *** bowel preparation,postoperative gastrointestinal function,and electrolyte levels were compared between the two groups using propensity score matching(PSM).Results:The incidence of hypokalemia(serum potassium level2.4%,P=0.005),the number of general enemas(P=0.014),and the rate of≥2.general enemas(92.9%vs.77.8%,P=0.004)were identified as risk factors for hypokalemia,which was accompanied by decreased PaCO_(2. and *** were no significant differences in postoperative gastrointestinal outcomes,such as the time to first flatus or feces,the I-FEED score(a scoring system was created to evaluate impaired postoperative gastrointestinal function),or postoperative recovery outcomes,between the hypokalemia group and the normal serum potassium ***:Hypokalemia during postanesthesia recovery period occurred in 43.75%of gynecological patients,which resulted from preoperative mechanical bowel preparation;however,it did not directly affect clinical outcomes,including postoperative gastrointestinal function,postoperative complications,and length of hospital stay.

Discovery of eclogite and its geological significance in Qiangtang area, central Tibet

Eclogite is first discovered from Qiang- tang area, central Tibet, which occurs as a lens in the high-pressure metamorphic belt comprising glauco- phane-muscovite schist and garnet-muscovite schist, along the south margin of Lungmu Co-Shuanghu Paleo-Tethys suture. A glaucophane 40Ar/39Ar age of 2.0 Ma and a phengite 40Ar/39Ar age of 2.1.9 Ma have been obtained from blueschists associated with eclogite. The rock consists of garnet, omphacite, amphibole, phengite, and rutile, etc, and the jadeite content in omphacite ranges from 32.7% to 38.95%. It is estimated that the temperature of the eclogite is 2.35 GPa. The discovery of Qiangtang ecologite fur- ther supports that there is a suture zone of Indo- chinese epoch in central Qiangtang area, and is very important for discssing the evolution of the pa- leo-ocean and paleo-plate tectonics in this area.

Anisotropic swelling pressures of compacted GMZ bentonite infiltrated with salt solutions

One-pot and One-step Cu(0)-mediated Reversible-Deactivation Radical Polymerization of N-Isopropylacrylamide(NIPAM) in Water

Copper(0)-mediated reversible-deactivation radical polymerization(Cu(0)-mediated RDRP) of the water-soluble monomer Nisopropylacrylamide(NIPAM) has been challenging with the problems of high dispersity, poor control over the molecular weights(MWs) or complex or multi reaction steps, etc. In this work, we report the well-controlled polymerization of NIPAM in water via a facile one-pot and one-step Cu(0)-mediated RDRP. The results of this approach show that the key for kicking off the Cu(0)-mediated NIPAM RDRPs is to ensure sufficient Cu~I at the very beginning, and the key to achieve a well-controlled chain growth is to provide adequate deactivation strength during the polymerization process. For NIPAM, which has a high propagation rate constant, the deactivation control can be effectively enhanced by extra adding deactivator(i.e., Cu~II) to the system. Moreover, a low reaction temperature(4 ℃) is necessary in the controlled synthesis of higher MW poly(Nisopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM) to avoid the compromise in control caused by the phase transition from its lower critical solution temperature(LCST). Through this new kinetically controlled strategy, PNIPAMs with well-defined structure, narrow molecular weight distributions(MWDs) and varied MWs were successfully achieved.

A Simulated Test of Algal Influence of Formation and Deposition of Phosphates

This paper deals with a simulated test of biogenic mineralization made with a blue-green alga species,Spirulina platensix. The data in the experiment were recorded by a computerized surveying system. The influ-ence of algae on the accumulation of phosphorus by changing their microenvironment to promote the forma-tion and deposition of phosphate was studied. The results show that the pH value of cultural liquor rose up to 10 and the redox potential (Eh) may dropby 100-2.0 mV during the algal logarithmic growth stage, and the cultrual liquor was changed into a mediumwith a weakly reducing condition. At the end of the logarithmic growth stage white deposits of Na_2.a(CO_3)_2.5H_2. and Ca_2.g (PO_4)_2.2._2. were formed on the floor of cultural containers. The test presented a wduableevidence for the theory of biogenic mineralization.

Zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating for the Cangshuipu volcanic rocks and its implications for the lower boundary age of the Nanhua strata in South china

The continental volcanic rocks and volcaniclas-tic sedimentary conglomerates of the Cangshuipu Formation occur well in Yiyang of Hunan Province, consisting of a wedge-shaped succession of Neoproterozoic strata that over-lie with high-angle unconformity the flysch turbidites of the Lengjiaxi Group in the Upper Mesoproterozoic Eonothem. SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating gives a weighted mean age of 814 12.Ma for the dacitic volcanic agglomerates from the lowest part of the volcanic rocks in the Cangshuipu Forma-tion. This age is younger than previously reported values of 92.—933 Ma for the volcanic rocks from the Cangshuipu Formation. Our new dating represents the lower boundary age of the Neoproterozoic System in the studied area. The younger age for the Cangshuipu volcanic rocks is supported by the following observations: （1） Lower Neoproterozoic strata （814—1000 Ma） are missing in the studied area; （2. the Nanhua rift system was initiated at about 82. Ma; and （3） an age of82. Ma may be taken as the lower boundary tim-ing of the Nanhua System （even Neoproterozoic） in South china.

Early scale effect and hemisphere superiority on the visual spatial attention:From the electrophysiological evidence of ERP

The visual attention mechanism in the brain was studied among16young subjects through the precue-target visual search paradigm using the event-related potentials(ERPs)technique,with the attentive ranges cued with different scales of chinese *** results showed that the response time was shortened as the cue scale was reduced,while the amplitudes of the P1and N1components of the ERPs *** results not only provided the electrophysiological evidence supporting the spotlight theory,but also indicated that the spotlight effect occurred during the early period of the selected *** kinds of separation in the P2.ffect were *** separation was between the P1effect and P2.ffect,which meant that additional computation was needed when the spatial scale of attention was enlarged;the other was between the left and right hemisphere of the P2.ffect,which indicates that the at-tentive processing of the cue range mainly occurred in the left hemisphere.

Medusoid Fossils from the Sinian Xingmincun Formation of Southern Liaoning Province

Abundant medusoid soft-bodied metazoan fossils have been found in the Sinian Xingmincun Formation(with an isotopic age of 650 Ma) at Qipanmo, Qidingshan and Yangtun of the Dalian-Jinzhou area, southern Liaoning Province; in addition, a number of macroscopic algal fossils have been discovered for the first time in the Getun Formation overlying the Xingmincun Formation. Medusoid fossils include 3 genera and 6 species(all of which are new). Judging from their biological characters, these medusoid fossils are considered to have an intimate affinity with the Ediacara fauna in the terminal Precambrian of Australia, as their characters are close to each other. The authors suggest that these medusoids and the Edicara fauna might be the products of the same period. The discovery of the medusoid fauna in the Xingmincun Formation marks an important event in the evolution of the terminal Precambrian organisms in china, and it is of major practical significance in the study of the Sinian System of china and the correlation of the Sinian strata of northern and southern china.

Organic materials with rich active sites are good candidates of high-capacity anodes in aqueous batteries,but commonly low utilization of active sites limits their ***,two isomers,symmetric and asymmetric hexaazatribenzanthraquinone（s-HATBAQ and a-HATBAQ）,with rich active sites have been synthesized in a controllable *** has been revealed for the first time that a sulfuric acid catalyst can facilitate the stereoselective formation of *** to the reduced steric hindrance in favor of proton insertion as well as the amorphous structure conducive to electrochemical dynamics,s-HATBAQ exhibits 1.5 times larger specific capacity than ***,the electrode of s-HATBAQ with50% reduced graphene oxide（s-HATBAQ-50%rGO） delivers a record high specific capacity of405 mAh g-1in ***,the assembled MnO2./s-HATBAQ-50%rGO aqueous proton full batteries show an exceptional cycling stability at 2.℃ and can maintain ～92. capacity after1000 cycles at 0.5 A g-1at-80℃.This work demonstrates the controllable synthesis of isomers,showcases a wide-temperature-range prototype proton battery and highlights the significance of precise mole cular structure modulation in organic energy storage.

A seed-specific AP2.domain transcription factor from soybean plays a certain role in regulation of seed ger-mination

Plant seed development and germination are under strict temporal and spatial regulation, and tran-scription factors play important roles in this regulation. In the present study we identified an EST ex-pressed specifically in the developing soybean seeds. The full length of the gene was obtained through further RACE analysis and the gene was named GmSGR. Sequence analysis revealed that this gene belonged to the AP2.ERF transcription factor family. Its AP2.domain had the highest similarity with that of the A-3 member AtABI4 of DREB subgroup in the AP2.ERF family in Arabidopsis. GmSGR did not exhibit transcriptional activation activity in the yeast assay system. GmSGR was overexpressed in Arabidopsis and the germination rates of the transgenic seeds were significantly higher than that of the wild type seeds under higher concentrations of ABA and glucose respectively. However, the germina-tion rates of the transgenic seeds were lower than that of control under salt stress. The expression of AtEm6 and AtRD2.B was higher in the seedlings of the transgenic plants than that in the wild-type seedlings. These results suggest that GmSGR may confer reduced ABA sensitivity and enhanced salt sensitivity to the transgenic seeds through regulating the expression of AtEm6 and AtRD2.B genes.
