High-resolution 13C Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectra of different kinds of tectonic coals were obtained using the NMR (CP/MAS+TOSS) method. On the basis of this, after simulation synthesis and division of spectra, the relative contents of carbon functional groups were calculated. Combined with results of Ro, max, XRD testing and element analysis, stress effects on the composition of macromolecular structures in tectonic coals were studied further. The results showed that Ro, max was not only the important index for describing coal rank, but was also effective for estimating the stress effect of tectonic coals. Under tectonic stress ac- tion, Ro, max was the most direct indicator of the coal structure and chemical components. Changes in the stacking Lc of the coal basic structure unit (BSU) and La/Lc parameters could distinguish the temperature and stress effects on metamorphic-deformed environments, and re- flected the degree of structural deformation. Therefore, on the whole, Lc and La/Lc can be used to index of the degree of structural deformation of tectonic coals. In different metamorphic and de- formed environments, different kinds of tectonic coals are formed under structural stress. The changes in characteristics of the macromolecular structure and chemical composition are such that as the increase in structural deformation becomes stronger, from the brittle deformation coal to ductile deformation coal, the ratio of width at the half height of the aromatic carbon and ali- phatic carbon peaks (Hfa/Hfal ) was increased. As carbon aromaticity was raised further, carbon aliphaticity reduced obviously and different compositions of macromolecular structure appeared as a jump and wave pattern except for in wrinkle structure coal, which might result chiefly from stress effects on the macromolecular structure of different kinds of tectonic coals. The photodissociation/photoionization processes of chlorobromomethane (CH_2.rCl) induced by fem- tosecond laser pulses have been investigated using pump-probe scheme combined with the time-of-flight mass spectra. The dominate photoproducts are observed at different delay time of the pump (4.0 nm) and probe (800 nm) pulses and the corresponding time-dependence of them is obtained. The results show that the decaying time of the molecule CH_2.rCl in the A-band is in the 100 fs. The decaying tendencies of the fragment ions (CH_2.l^+ and CH_2.r^+) and the parent ion (CH_2.rCl^+) are almost the same and the relative ratios of the yields of them keep constant during the delay time of 0 to 150 fs. These facts suggest that the fragment ions come from the fragmentation of the parent ions in excited electronic states. The probabilities to form CH_2.l^+ and CH_2.r^+ are obtained from the relative ratio of the ion intensity and are about 71.6% and 14.2., respectively.

An investigation was carried out by numerical simulation on a wind turbine airfoil and a blunt trailing-edge airfoil with and without vortex generators (VGs), and the performance of the airfoils was analyzed. By the simulation of airfoil DU 91-W2.2.0 it was verified that the numerical method and model were credible. Based on this airfoil, a new one with a blunt trailing edge of 6% chord was blended by symmetrically adding thickness, and its characteristics curves were obtained through computing at key angles of attack. Additionally, the pressure distribution on blended airfoil was analyzed by comparing to the airfoil without blend. The interaction of streamwise vortices induced by VGs with trailing vortex or separation vortex was considered, followed by the uncovery of how VGs can suppress the boundary layer separation.

We report results of the H2.O and H110α survey toward 2.1 UCHII regions using the Urumqi 2.m radio *** obtained 37 new H2.O detections,and H110α was simultaneously detected in eight of *** H110α was detected in another UCHII *** calculated kinematic distances of nine UCHII regions with the detected H110α and resolved the kinematic distance ambiguity for six of *** detection rate of H2.O of our observation was 13.2.,which is low compared with one of the other *** possible reason is that the sensitivity of our telescope is relatively low.

An ocean general circulation model (OGCM) of the North Pacific with a southern open boundary condition is used to simulate the distribution and transport of tritium in the North Pacific. First, the observed tritium in precipitation dataset of GNIP/ISOHIS is chosen, and used to develop an input function of tritium for the model domain from 1951 to 1997 in terms of the triangulation for interpolation. Then, the input function is used as an upper flux for the tritium model. The OGCM with tritium is integrated for 4. years with the initial condition of zero tritium concentrations. Compared with the observations from GEOSECS and WOCE, the model generates a meridional gradient of surface tritium concentrations and the high tritium concentrations in the subsurface layer, which is consistent with that indicated in the observations. The simulated time series of total tritium fluxes from the atmosphere to the ocean shows a spike in 1963. The total inventory of tritium in the ocean changes slowly with time after 1975. Tritium enters the higher-latitude region, and then is mainly transported by the subsurface process towards the equatorial region, which is well simulated in the model. However, the difference mainly occurs at 30°N–4.°N, which can be seen also in the simulation of CFCs. This difference may partly originate from the insufficient description of physical processes in the OGCM. Nevertheless, some uncertainties exist in the development of the tritium input function, which can also influence the simulated results.

A vertical one-dimensional numerical model for heat transferring within the near-surface snow layer of the Antarctic Ice Sheet was developed based on simplified parameterizations of associated physical processes for the atmosphere, radiation, and snow/ice systems. Using the meteorological data of an automatic weather station (AWS) at Dome A (80°2.′S, 70°2.′E), we applied the model to simulate the seasonal temperature variation within a depth of 2. m. Comparison of modeled results with observed snow temperatures at 4.measurement depths (0.1, 1, 3, 10 m) shows good agreement and consistent seasonal variations. The model results reveal the vertical temperature structure within the near-surface snow layer and its seasonal variance with more details than those by limited measurements. Analyses on the model outputs of the surface energy fluxes show that: 1) the surface energy balance at Dome A is characterized by the compensation between negative net radiation and the positive sensible fluxes, and 2. the sensible heat is on average transported from the atmosphere to the snow, and has an evident increase in spring. The results are considered well representative for the highest interior Antarctic Plateau.

Temporal-spatial variations of euphotic depth of typical lake regions in Lake Taihu and its ecological environmental significance

By using the data of underwater irradiance measured in the different lakeregions of Lake Taihu during 1998—2.04.and total suspended solids (TSS), wind speeds of the total13 stations in typical lake regions during 1993—2.03, this paper analyzes the factors ofinfluencing on PAR (pho-tosynthetically available radiation) attenuation, euphotic depth, andpresents the temporal and spatial variations of euphotic depth of typical lake regions in LakeTaihu, and the spectral distributions of euphotic depth at station 2. The results show that theconcentration of TSS is the most important factor impacting PAR attenuation, followed by chlorophylla; chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) has little impact on the PAR euphotic depth. During1993—2.03, the mean yearly PAR euphotic depths of the typical lake regions ranged from 1.04.to1.95 m with a mean value of 1.35±0.2. m. The PAR euphotic depth fell into 3 spatial zone types:Type Ⅰ, the lowest, including the lake center and the inflows of rivers; Type Ⅱ, intermediate,including Meiliang Bay, Wulihu Lake and Gonghu Bay; Type Ⅲ, the greatest, including the East LakeTaihu; corresponding mean depths were approximately 1.1, 1.4. 2.0 m, respectively. The seasonalvariations of euphotic depths were not quite the same in different lake regions. In the lake center,the mean values of PAR euphotic depth in summer and autumn were significantly greater than those inwinter and spring; in the Meiliang Bay, winter means were significantly greater than in the otherthree seasons; in the East Lake Taihu, winter means were significantly less than in the other threeseasons. However, no distinct seasonal change was recorded in the Wulihu Lake, Gonghu Bay and theinflows of rivers. The spectral distributions of euphotic depth present a minimal value at the bluelight wave band of 4.0 nm, and a peak at the green light wave band of around 580 nm. In 1998 and1999, based on the seasonal many-day continuous measurements, the PAR euphotic depths at station 2.
