Histone H1 and its C-terminal lysine rich fragments were recently found to be potent inhibitorsof furin,a mammalian proprotein ***,its role in the regulation of furin-dependent proproteinprocessing remains *** we report that histone H1 efficiently blocks furin-dependent pro-yonWillebrand factor（pro-vWF）processing in a dose-dependent *** and immunof-luorescence studies confirmed that histone H1 could interact with furin,and the interaction mainly took placeon the cell *** noted that histone H1 was released from cells undergoing necrosis and apoptosisinduced by *** findings suggested that histone H1 might be involved in extracellular and/or intracellu-lar furin regulation.

The comparative pollination biology of a population of Primula beesiana,a population of ***,and an overlapping population of these two species in Yulong Shan,Yunnan Province,china,was studied in 2.04 and *** results indicate that both *** and *** are typical heterostylous and obligate outcrossing species;the main pollinators of the two species were bees and *** the sites of all three populations,the main pollinating visitors of the two species showed preference for one of the two species,resulting in the ethological isolation of the two species by the *** ethological isolation contributes to the reproductive isolation of the two species,which supports the hypothesis that *** and *** are two distinct *** reproductive isolation of the two species (ethological isolation) is probably an important mechanism in maintaining species boundaries in the genus and has contributed to the species diversification of Primula in the *** addition,gene exchanges between *** and *** has occurred to some extent in the overlapping population,but whether natural hybridization has contributed to species diversification in Primula remains to be determined.

To clarify aridity/humidity status of land surface is helpful for studying environmental background and regional differences, seeking causes of environmental change, and providing a scientific basis for researches on climate change in the future. In this paper, the authors calcu- lated potential evapotranspiration of china using data from 616 meteorological stations during the period of 1971―2.00 with the Penman-Monteith model recommanded by FAO in 1998. Vy- sothkii’s model was used to calculate aridity/humidity index. Then the calculated results of sta- tions were interpolated to land surface using ArcGIS. Results show that the annual average po- tential evapotranspiration is 400―1500 mm in the whole country, 600―800 mm in most parts of it; and 3.0―1400 mm in growing season (April―Octobor), which is nearly 2.0 mm less than the annual average. According to the aridity/humidity indexes of 1.0, 1.5 and 4.0, the aridity/humidity status is categorized to four types, namely, humid, subhumid, semiarid and arid. A majority of stations (76%) are more humid in growing season than the annual average. Results of com- prisons between the distribution map of aridity/humidity index with that of precipitation and vegetation indicate a good consistence of aridity/humidity status with natural environment. Therefore potential evapotranspiration calculated with modified FAO’s Penman-Monteith model in combination with aridity/humidity index that considers water balance can more reasonably explain the actual land surface aridity/humidity status of china.

A monoclonal antibody, E4-65, produced by immunizing mice with SMMC-772. cells, a human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell line, was used to identify and characterize an unreported HCC-associated antigen. Indirect immunofluorescence studies showed that E4-65 antibody reacted with five out of eight HCC cell lines, but not with 10 non-HCC tumor cell lines or a normal liver cell line. Using immunohistochemical examination, E4-65 antigen was detected on the cell membranes and in the cytoplasm of human liver tumor tissues, but was not found in most other tumors, or normal adult or fetal tissues, except for a weakly positive reaction in tissues of the digestive system. Western blot analysis showed that E4-65 antibody bound to a 45 kDa protein in the human HCC cell line and tissue lysates. Enzyme treatment and lectin blotting did not detect the carbohydrate chain in E4-65 antigen. This HCC-associated protein represents a potentially useful target for diagnoses and immunotherapy of human HCC.

A novel operation mode for spaceborne polarimetric SAR,named polarization space-division adding polarization code-division (PSD-PCD) operation mode,is proposed in this paper through combining polarimetric SAR with elevation digital beam-forming (DBF) on *** a pulse repetition interval the up-chirp LFM sub-pulse is transmitted with horizontal polarization antenna,and with some delay the down-chip LFM subpulse is transmitted with vertical polarization antenna to realize code *** every sub-aperture receives returns from ground,SAR system uses range DBF to separate echoes relative to different sub-pulses in order to realize space *** system PRF is equal to that of single-polarization SAR,and elevation DBF help reduce range ambiguity ***,the main system parameters,including PRF,delay between two sub-pulses,radar equation and ambiguity are analyzed and compared with those of single-polarization *** results demonstrate the feasibility and validity of PSD-PCD operation mode.

In this paper the in-situ experiment data are collected from the Spectral Library to estimate the possible values of the primary structural parameters in each cotton growing season by statistics. Based on these values the spectra of the cotton major growing seasons were simulated and analyzed using the canopy reflectance model, SAILH. In this way we also simulated the cotton pixel spectra corresponding to CBERS-02.CCD and took them as the reference spectra for spectra fitting. Then No.143.Regiment of No.8 Agricultural Division of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) was chosen as the study area, and two spectra fitting methods, Mahalanobis distance and spectra angle, were used to identify cotton pixel from CBERS-02.CCD image of the study area. At last we analyzed the effect of the calibration coefficients error on cotton identifying. The results showed that within 4% error the spectral angle classifier can still have a good performance.

Temporal-spatial variations of euphotic depth of typical lake regions in Lake Taihu and its ecological environmental significance

By using the data of underwater irradiance measured in the different lakeregions of Lake Taihu during 1998—2.04 and total suspended solids (TSS), wind speeds of the total13.stations in typical lake regions during 1993.2.03. this paper analyzes the factors ofinfluencing on PAR (pho-tosynthetically available radiation) attenuation, euphotic depth, andpresents the temporal and spatial variations of euphotic depth of typical lake regions in LakeTaihu, and the spectral distributions of euphotic depth at station 2. The results show that theconcentration of TSS is the most important factor impacting PAR attenuation, followed by chlorophylla; chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) has little impact on the PAR euphotic depth. During1993.2.03. the mean yearly PAR euphotic depths of the typical lake regions ranged from 1.04 to1.95 m with a mean value of 1.3.±0.2. m. The PAR euphotic depth fell into 3.spatial zone types:Type Ⅰ, the lowest, including the lake center and the inflows of rivers; Type Ⅱ, intermediate,including Meiliang Bay, Wulihu Lake and Gonghu Bay; Type Ⅲ, the greatest, including the East LakeTaihu; corresponding mean depths were approximately 1.1, 1.4, 2.0 m, respectively. The seasonalvariations of euphotic depths were not quite the same in different lake regions. In the lake center,the mean values of PAR euphotic depth in summer and autumn were significantly greater than those inwinter and spring; in the Meiliang Bay, winter means were significantly greater than in the otherthree seasons; in the East Lake Taihu, winter means were significantly less than in the other threeseasons. However, no distinct seasonal change was recorded in the Wulihu Lake, Gonghu Bay and theinflows of rivers. The spectral distributions of euphotic depth present a minimal value at the bluelight wave band of 400 nm, and a peak at the green light wave band of around 580 nm. In 1998 and1999, based on the seasonal many-day continuous measurements, the PAR euphotic depths at station 2.

Aim:To investigate the effects of magnesium lithospermate B（MLB）isolatedfrom Salviae miltiorrhizae on renal microcirculation,and renal and systemic he-modynamics in Sprague-Dawley ***:MLB（10,3.,and 60 mg/kg）wasinjected intravenously and renal blood flow（RBF）,renal cortical microperfusion（RCM）,and systemic hemodynamic function parameters including heart rate（HR）,mean arterial pressure（MAP）,left ventricular systolic pressure（LVSP）,left ven-tricular end-diastolic pressure（LVEDP）,and maximal velocity of pressure increase(dp/dtmax)were measured for 45 min after ***:IntravenousMLB at doses of 10,3.,and 60 mg/kg increased RCM significantly,but had noobvious effects on RBF or systemic *** effect of MLB on RCMreached its peak 15 rain after injection and returned to baseline after 45 *** to60 mg/kg MLB increased RCM by 62.4%±2..2.（changes from baseline,P3.7%±9.7% vs baseline）and renal vascular resistance（-1.4%±9.1%vs baseline）did not obviously ***:These results indicate thatMLB ameliorates renal microcirculation in a dose-dependent manner,which maybe related to the renoprotective effects of MLB.
