Product Family Design Methodology Using Object-Oriented Approach

The serious competition environment of global marke t requests the enterprise to change traditional product development strategy and a dopt new theory in order to meet diverse customer needs while maintaining near m ass production efficiency, which is the main philosophy of mass customization. P roduct family design is research focus at present and also is the core technolog y of DFMC (design for mass customization). Firstly, this paper explores the fund amental issues of product family, such as concepts of modularity, commonality/di versity, product platform and product family architecture etc. We compare the te rminology between product family and object-oriented approach in the next step. Thirdly, this paper puts forwards one product family design methodology based o n product platform and under different phase of product life cycle constrains, f or example, functional, assembly and service etc. At the end section of this pap er, we applied, the object-oriented approach in above mentioned product family design methodology to realize the design process. In one word, this paper propos ed one product family design methodology based on object oriented approach and p roduct life cycle consideration, especially the conjointness of characteristic o f OOA and concepts of product family. The main property of OOA are encapsulation , inherence and polymorphism. Encapsulation can represent the module or building blocks of product family. Inherence can be extended to describe the modularity and commonality, and also be used to construct variant space. Alternative specif ic of product family architecture can be embodied with polymorphism. And fin aly, we give the future work contents. In order to derive the product platform a nd achieve modularity and commonality/diversity, interface management between bu ilding block is necessary. Large eddy simulations of spatially evolved turbulent round jets were presented. The two SGS models called the standard Smagorinsky’s eddy viscosity model and the non-eddy viscosity stimulated small scale(SSS) model developed by Shah & Ferziger were applied. The Reynolds number of the flow was taken as 10000 based on the orifice diameter and the axial velocity in the orifice. The comparison between these two models showed that the standard Smagorinsky’s viscosity model with Smagorinsky’s constant of 0.1 underestimated the turbulent intensity, while the SSS model showed a better agreement with the experiment. Also the SSS model was used to investigate the development of vortex. The convective boundary condition at the outflow boundary was adopted to ensure less effect of noise on the upstream.

A six-state quantum key distribution scheme with measuring-basis encryption technique, which is based on the six-state protocol and the MBE protocol, is proposed. In this modified six-state quantum key distribution protocol, Alice and Bob use a control key to synchronize the use of their measuring-basis so that they always use the same measuring-basis. This modified six-state quantum key distribution protocol retains the advantage of higher security and at the same time has a higher efficiency.

By using moving frame theory,first we introduce 2.-th mean curvatures and(2.+1)-th mean curvature vector fields for a *** then give an integral expression of them that characterizes them as mean values of symmetric functions of principle *** we apply it to derive directly the celebrated Weyl-Gray tube formula in terms of integrals of the 2.-th mean curvatures and some Minkowski-type integral formulas.

In this paper we make a further discussion of a relationship between the number of fixed-points and distribution of singular values along the round annuli centered at the origin of a transcendental meromorphic function. To attain our purpose we first establish a fundamental inequality for the modulus of derivative of a holomorphic covering mapping whose image is an annulus by virtue of the hyperbolic metric. The inequality is of independent significance. We make a simple survey on some domain constants for hyperbolic domains.

Some user-level virtualization technologies have been used to convert legacy software (like the existing Windows desktop applications) into the on-demand software without any modification. To give the client a friendly and compatible method to access on-demand legacy software across the Internet, this paper presents a clientend file system for this usage case. It is a Windows user-space file system based on the cloud storage (where the on-demand software is stored), which converts the local file system accesses into remote visits. Quite a few optimizations are adopted and adjusted to suit the file-access-pattern of on-demand software, including the local cache, metadata/data/software prefetch and content-addressable storage (CAS), to decrease the number of remote visits and/or to overlap IO (input/output) operations with software execution. Detailed access-pattern analyses are also presented. This file system has been implemented and tests show that it is practical for much daily-used software-a local cache of limited size can provide up to 80% hit ratio and the corresponding overhead of running-time is about 37%. Owing to this method, on any compatible and networked computer, a user can use his/her personalized software conveniently although it does not exist on the local host.

A microfabricated electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) chip with microelectrodes was *** substrate and the electrodes of the chip were made of glass and gold,*** experimental results demonstrated that the EIS-chip could distinguish different solutions (physiological saline,culture medium,living cell suspension etc.) by scanning from 10Hz to 45kHz.A 6-element circuit model was used for fitting the real part and the imaginary part admittance curves of the living cell *** actual circuit was also built and tested to verify the 6-element circuit model *** micro-EIS chip has several advantages including the use of small sample volumes,high resolution and ease of *** shows good application prospects in the areas of cellular electrophysioiogy,drug screening and bio-sensors etc.

A preliminary study on vegetation-erosion dynamics and its applications

Vegetation-erosion dynamics is a new interdisciplinary science, studying the laws of evolution of watershed vegetation under the action of various ecological stresses. Introducing a qualitative expression of ecological stresses in this paper, the present authors establish the cou- pled differential equations for the vegetation-erosion process and derive a theoretical solution. The model is applied to the Anjiagou watershed on the Loess Pateau and the Xiaojiang water- shed and its sub-watersheds on the Yunnan Plateau. The calculated results agree well with the vegetation development processes. Abstracted from the differential equations the so-called vegetation-erosion chart is worked out, with which we can predict the development trend of vegetation under no human stresses. It is demonstrated that the erosion control is important for vegetation development and reforestation must be a long-term strategy. On the Yunnan Plateau with relatively high precipitation and temperature, vegetation can be greatly improved if erosion is controlled. On the dry and cold Loess Pateau suffering from high rate of soil erosion, however, vegetation can effectively control erosion but erosion reduction exhibits low effectiveness on vegetation development. Vegetation in the area is not stable and management is always needed to maintain the vegetation.
