Strip pillar mining is one of the most important technical measures to control mining subsidence in China. Mining depth is one of the most important factors that can affect the mining subsidence in strip pillar mining. Six numerical simulation models were set up to simulate the surface subsidence of strip pillar mining in different mining depths. The mining depth in these six models ranges from 3.0 to 800 m. The simulated results were compared and analyzed. The formula was established based on the simulated results. It demonstrated that the subsidence of strip pillar mining method is related to mining depth. While the other conditions are the same, the subsidence of strip pillar mining increases with the increase of mining depth by logarithmic relationship.

To calculate ignition delay times, the governing equations about species and temperature, which are in a closed volume based on the theory of thermal explosion and in a continuously stirred flow reactor, are deducted. The method referred to steady state assumptions is based on the observation that due to very fast chemical processes in combustion problems many chemical species and reactions are in a quasi-steady state or partial equilibrium. When a species is assumed to be in the steady state, the corresponding differential equation can be replaced by an algebraic relation, which reduces the computational costs. The steady state solution of the reactor equations describes the three ignition temperature regimes and get “S-shaped curve”. The reduced simplified 4-step mechanism for n-heptane from 1011 elementary reactions leads with the steady state assumptions to linear differential equations, which is solved. The simulation results of the 4-step reduced mechanism for n-heptane are fitted well with the experiment data. At last, two important parameters are discussed thoroughly and the temperature perturbation is given. It reduces the computational efforts considerably without losing too much accuracy and further supplies numerical methods for turbulent combustion in the diesel engine.

Electron transfer through the self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on gold nanopar-ticles is investigated by using the monolayer protected gold nanoclusters (MPCs) as elec-tron-transfer mediators. 3.Mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) and 11-meraptoundecanoic acid (MUA) MPCs were employed to catalyze the redox reaction between potassium ferricyanide and sodium thiosulfate. The catalytic mechanism was proposed that the MPCs act as diffusing elec-tron-mediators and electron transfers to and from the MPCs surface. Therefore the electron transfer rate through the capping layers would be proportional to the MPCs catalyzed reaction rate, which was monitored by the UV absorbance of ferricyanide. The calculated apparent rate constant was orders of magnitude smaller than that of the maximum of tunneling current, which was attributed to the splited energy level of the nanoscale particles.

For the past ten years there has been much progress in computational fluid dy- namics (CFD), among which the formation and development of the lattice Boltz- mann method (LBM) are an important new direction. We give a review on the main aspect and the latest development of this method in this article, and at the same time we also discuss the related development of scientific software and its impact on the real-world applications in industry.

Mianning-Dechang Himalayan REE Metallogenetic Belt in Sichuan Province lies along the western margin of the Yangtze Craton. We have conducted detailed mineralogical studies on ore minerals collected from Maoniuping and Dalucao, the two largest deposits in the belt. With optical microscope, SEM/EDS, and EPMA, three rare intermetallic minerals, i.e., zinccopperite (Cu2.n), Sn- bearing native copper, and Cu-bearing jupiter were found to occur in the main ore along with barite, fluorite, apatite, sulfide and bastnaesite. Since the conditions under which zinccopperite and Sn- bearing native copper formed are quite unique, finding of these minerals, for the first time in domestic REE deposits, has significant implications for the genesis of the ore deposits in which they occur. In comparison with Cu-Zn intermetallic minerals in other occurrences, we propose that the formation of this REE metallogenetic belt is associated with fast upwelling of the Himalayan magma from deep source.

The methods of unmanned aerial vehicles images splicing rapidly and rectifying without control points data, only using auxiliary data recorded by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system, were researched. Two algorithms were proposed, including UAV images auto- splicing rapidly after image blocking and UAV images rectifying based on pseudo center points of auxiliary data. When SIFT algorithm for UAV images splicing is applied, the accuracy is very high, but the efficiency is very low. The splicing efficiency is improved greatly based on SIFT algorithm after image blocking. The results show that rectifying accuracy is very high and has no visual dislocation when pseudo center points of auxiliary data is applied.

In this paper, a partially linear single-index model is investigated, and three empirical log-likelihood ratio statistics for the unknown parameters in the model are suggested. It is proved that the proposed statistics are asymptotically standard chi-square under some suitable conditions, and hence can be used to construct the confidence regions of the parameters. Our methods can also deal with the confidence region construction for the index in the pure single-index model. A simulation study indicates that, in terms of coverage probabilities and average areas of the confidence regions, the proposed methods perform better than the least-squares method.

The organic-inorganic layered solid catalyst Fe(bpy)_3.(2.)-laponite was ableto photode-grade Rhodamine B (RhB) by activation of dioxygen under visible irradiation (λ > 42.nm), while the homogeneous aqueous solution Fe(bpy)_3.(2.) showed no photoactivity. The catalystcould be repeatedly used and retained its reactivity. The hybrid catalyst could be separated fromthe suspension by centrifugation or sedimentation. The TOC removal yield of RhB was *** oxygen species (ROS) formed during degradation was detected by EPR. A possible mechanismwas proposed on the basis of the experimental results.

The recrystallization and oxidation of a Mn-containing interstitial free (IF) steel were investigated simultaneously using confocal scanning laser microscope (CSLM) under controlled atmosphere of Ar 95% and H2.5% (in volume percent) at different temperatures. It was found that the grain boundary played a significant role in controlling recrystallization and oxidation in overall oxidation kinetics of the steel. The surface morphology was composed of two networks along the original and new grain boundaries respectively, which did not coexist. The grain boundary moved in different directions with different velocities during annealing process. The recrystallization processes were studied by CSLM motion video through observing the moving grain boundary to estimate the time for 50% recrystallization, and the activation energy for recrystallization was therefore calculated. The oxidation mechanism was discussed through comparison of the fluxes among mass transfer of water vapor, dissociation of water vapor and outward diffusion alloying elements. The results indicated that the oxidation was controlled by the mass transfer from the bulk gas to the surface, or dissociation rate, or outward diffusion of manganese, which depended on the temperature to form a grain boundary ridge or groove.
