Online diagnosis of electron excitation temperature in CH_4+H_2.discharge plasma at atmospheric pressure by optical emission spectra

Methane coupling under low temperature plasmas at atmospheric pressure is a green process by use of renewable sources of energy. In this study, CH4+H2.dis- charge plasma was on-line diagnosed by optical emission spectra so as to char- acterize the discharge system and to do spade work for the optimization of the technical parameters for future commercial production of methane coupling under plasmas. The study was focused on a calculation method for the online diagnosis of the electron excitation temperature in CH4+H2.discharge plasma at atmospheric pressure. The diagnostic method is easy, efficient and fairly precise. A serious er- ror in a literature was corrected during the reasoning of its series of equations formerly used to calculate electron temperatures in plasmas.

The normal numbers of the fuzzy systems and their classes

R-fuzzy set is defined in this paper, which is regarded as the generalization of the Zadeh fuzzy set. By means of CRI method, some fuzzy systems are constructed by suitably using several kinds of R-fuzzy sets as fuzzy inference antecedents, such as interpolation fuzzy system, Bernstein fuzzy system, Lagrange fuzzy system and Hermite fuzzy system. A notion of the normal number of the fuzzy system is defined here, we have shown that all fuzzy systems are able to be classified as three classes such as the normal fuzzy systems, the regular fuzzy systems and the singular fuzzy systems under the significance of the normal numbers of fuzzy systems. Finally, the generalized Bernstein polynomial is obtained by constructing Bernstein fuzzy system, it is proved that the generalized Bernstein polynomial is uniformly convergent in C[a,b] under a weaker condition, and it is pointed out that there exist generalized Bernstein polynomials to be not convergent in C[a,b] by use of constructing a counterexample.

Groupiness of Sea Waves and Their Characteristic Parameters

Three methods for studying wave groups and their main parameters for describing wave groupiness are reviewed in this paper. Then they are analyzed and compared combined with field data from both aspects of group height and group length. A method and two parameters that can describe wave groupiness are suggested. The groupiness parameters of sea waves at three field stations are given. The effects of groupiness on both distributions of the wave height and the phase of component waves are investigated. The effects of datum length on the calculated value of grouping parameters are also discussed.

Structure and Pozzolanic Activity of Calcined Coal Gangue during the Process of Mechanical Activation

On the basis of analyzing coal gangue＇s chemical and mineral compositions, the structure change of coal gangue during the mechanical activation was investigated by XRD, FTIR, NMR, and the mechanical strength of the cement doped coal gangue with various specific surface area was tested. The experimental results indicate that, the lattice structure of metakaolin in coal gangue samples calcined at 700 ℃ disorganizes gradually and becomes disordered, and the lattice structure of α-quartz is distorted slightly. The pozzolanic activity of the coal gangue increases obviously with its structural disorganization.

The growth of well-aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays using a heat chemical vapor deposition system on silicon substrates is reported. The growth properties of CNT arrays are studied as a function of synthesis conditions. It is found that 750°C and 10 nm Fe film are suitable conditions for the growth of well-aligned CNT arrays. CNT arrays with a uniform diameter, thick tube wall and firm cohesion to the Si substrate can be grown for C2.2.concentration of 2.%. Based on the experiment, the processes of improving the alignment of CNT arrays and cohesion between CNT arrays and Si substrates are discussed.

In conventional reinforced soil structures,the reinforcements are often laid hori-zontally in the *** this paper,a new concept of soil reinforced with denti-strip inclusions was proposed and a series of laboratory model tests were carried out on sand retaining wall reinforced with denti-strip *** the horizontal displacements of the facing,the lateral earth pressures acting on vertical elements were measured.A microscopic measurement was performed to investigate the deformation and progressive failure of the sand within model retaining *** on the image analytical technique,the bearing capability and interaction mechanism of reinforced sand retaining wall were *** model of the initial shear failure and potential failure surface were also put *** the experimental results,it is shown that denti-strip inclusions can increase the bearing capability of retaining wall significantly and restrict the facing displacements efficiently,as compared with conventional horizontal reinforcement.

Effect of acid oxidization of carbon nanotube electrode on the capacitances of double layer capacitors

Polarizable electrode of electric double layer capacitor was made from carbon nanotubes. The effect of acid oxidation of electrode on the specific capacitance was studied. Oxidation removed the redundant carbon, expanded the pore size and introducedf some kinds of functional groups on the surface of CNTs. The specific capacitance of the electrodes winth organic electrolyte was increased from 2..4 to 49.6 F/g after being oxidized at a volume ratio H2.O4 to HNO3 of 3:1.

The refined theory of deep rectangular beams based on general solutions of elasticity

The problem of deducing one-dimensional theory from two-dimensional the- ory for a homogeneous isotropic beam is investigated. Based on elasticity theory, the re- fined theory of rectangular beams is derived by using Papkovich-Neuber solution and Lur’e method without ad hoc assumptions. It is shown that the displacements and stresses of the beam can be represented by the angle of rotation and the deflection of the neutral surface. Based on the refined beam theory, the exact equations for the beam without transverse surface loadings are derived and consist of two governing differential equations: the fourth-order equation and the transcendental equation. The approximate equations for the beam under transverse loadings are derived directly from the refined beam theory and are almost the same as the governing equations of Timoshenko beam theory. In two ex- amples, it is shown that the new theory provides better results than Levinson’s beam the- ory when compared with those obtained from the linear theory of elasticity.

This paper deals with the modeling of a multibody system in which some pairs of bodies are connected by more than one joints with the same kinematic *** such system,the redundant joints must be removed out artificially to ensure the solvable condition of the equations of motion being *** is believed but not obvious that the redundant joints have no effect on the system *** give a strict positive proof of this argument and present a method to avoid the ambiguity in the reaction forces of redundant joints through contact analysis of joints.
