Once regarded as an eccentric and unpromising algorithm for the analysis of scientific data,the artificial neural network(ANN) has been developed into a powerful computational *** to a traditional regression approach, with its excellent fault tolerance,the ANN is capable of modeling complex nonlinear relationships and is highly scalable with parallel *** its use now spans all areas of science,from the physical sciences and processing to the life sciences and allied *** the data explosion in modern food processing re{2.rch requires sophisticated analysis methods to uncover the hidden causal relationships between single or multiple responses and a large set of properties,the ANN is one of the most versatile tools to meet the ***,the main ANN architectures are described briefly in this review and examples of their application to solve food processing problems are presented as ***,it is suggested that different architectures of ANN and learning algorithms should be introduced into food processing,and the possibility of implementing a neural network based class-modeling algorithm should be studied as well.

An unarmored dinoflagellate bloom of Cochlodinium geminatum(Schutt) Schutt has been identified in the Pearl River Estuary,South china sea during the severe dry season, from late October to early November,2.09,when temperature and salinity ranged between 2..07.2.and 10.63.4,*** and scanning electron microscopy were used to identify the characteristics of *** and provided the clear morphological structure for this *** organism was primarily found in chains of two cells or single cell,and no longer chains were *** were irregularly spherical or slightly dorso-ventrally,with size ranged between 2.-36μm and longer than wide.A large nucleus in the center with numerous golden chloroplasts was present, and the cingulum made 1.5 turns around the *** concentration of *** ranged from 10 to greater than 10 cells 1 during the bloom *** concentration ranges during the bloom were 1.2.-81.00μM NO,0.14-12.14μM NO,0.2.-6.2.μM NH, 0.2.-6.2.μM PO and 3.2.-171.43μM SiO,*** biomass expressed in terms of chlorophyll a ranged from 2.44 to 135.45μg 1,with an average 19.9μg 1 in surface water throughout the *** main clusters corresponding to the water sectors were defined with multivariate analysis(cluster and nMDS).Based on the composition and abundance of phytoplankton,spatial variations were observed at a significant level (ANOSIM,R=0.44,P<0.01).Although the pairwise correlation analysis detected no significant effect of any single environmental variable on the abundance of ***, the multivariate analysis(BIO-ENV) between biotic and abiotic variables resulted in the best variables combination with all measured factors involved(temperature, salinity,turbidity,NO,NO,NH,P0 and Si0) which showed a combined effect during the bloom of *** in the Pearl River Estuary(p0.477).

Dicer is an key initiative protein of the RNA interference （RNAi） pathway that play an important role in shrimp viruses defense. In the present study, we identified and characterized a Dicer2.cDNA from black tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon （designated as PmDcr2.. The full length cDNA of PmDcr2.contained a 5’untranslated region （UTR） of 109 bp, an open reading frame （ORF） of 4509 bp and a 3’ UTR of 842.bp. The predicted PmDcr2.protein is171.657 KDa with the theoretical isoelectric point of 6.2.. PmDcr2.amino acid shared the highest similarity of 92. and 91% with Litopenaeus vannamei and Marsupenaeus japonicas Dicer2. respectively. Phylogenic analysis shows PmDcr2.is clustering with Litopenaeus vannamei Dicer2.and Marsupenaeus japonicas Dicer2. and close to the group of Tribolium castaneum Dicer2.from insect. Real-time quantitative PCR showed that PmDcr2.was widely epressed in in almost all examined tissues except muscle, with high expression in gill, hemocyte and lymph. mRNA expression also revealed that PmDcr2.was up-regulated by Vibrio vulnificus and White Spot Syndrome Virus （WSSV） virus suspension, but not by Staphylococcus aureus in hepatopancreas. Furthermore, the viral nucleotide homologue dsRNA poly （I: C） and ssRNA R484 also remarkably induced PmDcr2.mRNA expression. These data reflect that PmDcr2.is a functional protein that referred to the immune response in black tiger shrimp.

The present study investigates meteorological conditions for the day-to-day changes of particulate matter （PM） concentration in Beijing city during the period 2.08-2.15. The local relationship of PM concentration to surface air temperature, pressure, wind speed, and relative humidity displays seasonal changes and year-to-year variations. The average correlation coefficient with PMI0 in spring, summer, fall, and winter is 0.45, 0.40, 0.38, and 0.30 for air tem- perature; -0.45, -0.05, -0.40, and -0.45 for pressure; 0.13, 0.04, 0.53, and 0.50 for relative humidity; and -0.18, -0.11, -0.45, and -0.33 for wind speed. A higher correlation with wind speed is obtained when wind speed leads by halfa day. The heavily polluted and clean days, which are defined as the top and bottom 10% of the PM values, show obvious differences in the regional distribution of air temperature, pressure, and wind. Polluted days correspond to higher air temperature in all the four seasons, lower sea level pressure and anomalous southerly winds to the south and east of Beijing in spring, fall, and winter, and a northwest-southeast contrast in the pressure anomaly and anom- alous southerly winds in summer. Higher relative humidity is observed on polluted days in fall and winter. The pol- luted days are preceded by an anomalous cyclone moving from the northwest, accompanied by lower pressure and higher air temperature, in all four seasons. This feature indicates the impacts of moving weather systems on local meteorological conditions for day-to-day air quality changes in Beijing.

Now, GISs are popular at most major cities along the coast in china. The lack of available digital geographic data is a serious bottleneck problem. This article first analyses the development characteristics of urban planning and management information system in china, and proposes a method for establishing a planning and management information system for small town. By using GIS as core and integrating with microcomputer network, office automation (OA), computer aided design (CAD), and multimedia technology, a microcomputer information system (TownMIS) is implemented after 3 year design and development. It may be a first comprehensive system for the planning and management of small towns. Since the January of 1996, TownMIS has been actually used in Xiaolan Town, a coastal rich town in South china. This has provided perfect technical, managerial, operational and institutional references for resolving the contradiction of the fast growing installation of GIS sites and fewer actually running system.
