A multiple round quantum dense coding scheme based on the quantum phase estimation algorithm is proposed and implemented in a three qubit nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) quantum computer. Using an m + 1 qubit system, Bob can transmit one of 2.+1 messages to Alice, through manipulating only one qubit and exchanging it between Alice and Bob for m rounds. The information capacity is enhanced to m + 1 bits as compared to m bits in a classical scheme. The scheme has been demonstrated in NMR system, and the experimental results show a good agreement between theory and experiment.

In this paper, firstly, the proper function space is chosen, and the proper expression of the operators is introduced such that the complex large-scale atmospheric motion equations can be described by a simple and abstract equation, by which the definition of the weak solution of the atmospheric equations is made. Secondly, the existence of the weak solution for the atmospheric equations and the steady state equations is proved by using the Galerkin method. The existence of the non-empty global attractors for the atmospheric equations in the sense of the Chepyzhov-Vishik’s definition is obtained by constructing a trajectory attractor set of the atmospheric motion equations. The result obtained here is the foundation for studying the topological structure and the dynamical behavior of the atmosphere attractors. Moreover, the methods used here are also valid for studying the other atmospheric motion models.

The superheavy nucleus 2.0Hs is expected to be a “double-magic” deformed nucleus. We have calculated its cross sections of evaporation residue for the reactions 2.8Cm(2.Mg,4.)2.0Hs, 2.4.u(30Si,4.)2.0Hs, 2.8U(36S,4.)2.0Hs and 2.6Ra(4.Ca,4.)2.0Hs using a two-parameter Smoluchowski equation. It is found from our results that 2.6Ra(4.Ca,4.)2.0Hs and 2.8U(36S,4.)2.0Hs are two optimal reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy nucleus 2.0Hs due to their large negative Q-values.

Based on the AVHRR pathfinder remote sensing data, soil moisture, precipitation and evaporation during the period of 1982.1998, soil moisture of all layers of soil-profile (0—1 m) in the Yellow River basin over the 17 years are calculated by the remote sensing model of calculating soil water. The Yellow River basin is divided into seven subcatchments as control sections at the location of six hydrologic stations (Lanzhou, Toudaoguai, Longmen, Sanmenxia, Huayuankou and Lijin). After calculating soil moisture and obtaining runoff data and precipitation data, the dynamical features of hydrological cycle in the Yellow River basin are analyzed for the period from 1982.to 1988 using water balance method. The conclusions are as follows: It is feasible to calculate the soil water on the macro-scale, in the soil profile with temporal continuity by means of remote sensing and survey in land. Some values of the key water cycle factors in the Yellow River are obtained, which include the annual precipitation of 4.00 km3, the evapotranspiration of 3000-3500 km3, and the soil moisture transformation of ?500- 500 km3. Consequently, we analyzed the process of the water cycle in the Yellow River over the 17 years, and the results show that the segment upstream of Lanzhou city is a relatively humid region, and the area of internal waters and the reaches of Shanshan is the most desiccated region. Therefore, the runoff in the depth process is intensive and the runoff-generating process is weak in more arid regions.

With the swift development of economy, the water quality of beijing is becoming worse day by day and hampers the sustainable development obviously. In this paper, the current conditions of the municipal wastewater structure in the industrial sectors are analysed and discussed in terms of the indicators, such as direct wastewater\|discharge coefficient, complete wastewater\|discharge coefficient, direct discharge coefficient of COD and complete discharge coefficient of COD, by taking a year of 1990s as the base year. Some countermeasures are studied and the corresponding recommendations are put forward in order to improve the water environment in beijing. This provides a scientific ground for coordinating the relationship between the aquatic environment and economic growth in this city.

The excited state absorption upconversion of Pr(0.5)Yb(3):ZBLAN glass material, under two-color excitation of the 960 nm semiconductor laser and the Xe lamp light simultaneously, is reported in this article. It was found that the upconversion emission spectra of 4.0.1, 519.0, 601.9 and 631.8 nm coincide with the common emission spectra. Meanwhile, the upconversion-excitation spectrum has three obvious peaks under two-color excitation, and they respectively correspond to the 856.0 nm upconversion ex-citation transition [1G4.Pr3+)→1I6(Pr3+) and 1G4.Pr3+)→3P1(Pr3+)], the 789.0 nm upconver-sion excitation transition 1G4.Pr3+)→3P2.Pr3+), and the 803.7 nm upconversion excitation transition 3H6(Pr3+)→1D2.Pr3+). The upconversion excitation transition 1G4.Pr3+)→1I6(Pr3+) is strong because its oscillator strength f = 2..04.×10?6 is large, which results in a large peak appearing in the upconversion excitation spectrum. That is just the new interesting two-color excitation upconversion luminescence phenomenon of Pr(0.5)Yb(3):ZBLAN induced by one laser and one continuous normal light simultaneously.

The quasi-one-dimensional nonlinear monoatomic lattice is analyzed. The kink-soliton and antikink-soliton are presented. When the interaction of the lattice is strong in the x-direction and weak in the y-direction, the two-dimensional (2.) lattice changes to a quasi-one-dimensional lattice. Taking nearest-neighbor interaction into account, the vibration equation can be transformed into the KPI, KPII and MKP equation. Considering the cubic nonlinear potential of the vibration in the lattice, the kink-soliton solution is presented. Considering the quartic nonlinear potential and the cubic interaction potential, the kink-soliton and antikink-soliton solutions are presented.

Estimation methods of eco-environmental water requirements: Case study

Supplying water to the ecological environment with certain quantity and quality is significant for the protection of diversity and the realization of sustainable development. The conception and connotation of eco-environmental water requirements, including the definition of the conception, the composition and characteristics of eco-environmental water requirements, are evaluated in this paper. The classification and estimation methods of eco-environmental water requirements are then proposed. On the basis of the study on the Huang-Huai-Hai Area, the present water use, the minimum and suitable water requirement are estimated and the cor-responding water shortage is also calculated. According to the interrelated programs, the eco-environmental water requirements in the coming years (2.10, 2.30, 2.50) are estimated. The result indicates that the minimum and suitable eco-environmental water requirements fluc-tuate with the differences of function setting and the referential standard of water resources, and so as the water shortage. Moreover, the study indicates that the minimum eco-environmental water requirement of the study area ranges from 2.84.1010m3 to 1.02.1011m3, the suitable water requirement ranges from 6.4.×1010m3 to 1.78×1011m3, the water shortage ranges from 9.1×109m3 to 2.16×1010m3 under the minimum water requirement, and it is from 3.07×1010m3 to 7.53×1010m3 under the suitable water requirement. According to the different values of the water shortage, the water priority can be allocated. The ranges of the eco-environmental water re-quirements in the three coming years (2.10, 2.30, 2.50) are 4.4.×1010m3?1.73×1011m3, 5.99×10m3?2.09×1011m3, and 7.4.×1010m3?2.52.1011m3, respectively.

This paper focuses on interpreting the different spatial relationships between NDVI and Ts, a triangular or a trapezoid, and on analyzing transformation conditions, the physical and ecological meanings of the vegetation index-surface temperature space as well. Further, we use the Tempera-ture-Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI) to explain the existent meaning of a triangular space after NDVI reaches its saturated state by employing the relationships between NDVI, LAI and evapotranspiration. The specific relations between NDVI and Ts are useful for describing, validating and updating land surface models.
