Correlation between Urban Land Change Process and Socioeconomic Development since the 1980s in jiangsu province

Studying the process and characteristics of urban land change in different phases of urbanization and different economic development is much important for understanding urban land change and management at a macro level. Taking the example of jiangsu province, the present paper studied the correlation between urban land change process and socioeconomic development from 1981 to 2.03 on the basis of statistical data. The results showed the following three aspects. First, urban land area has changed periodically and the research duration can be divided into two periods: from 1981 to 1994 and from 1995 to 2.03. In each period, the changing trend is the same, i.e. slow at first and then quick. Studying from the comprehensive change status, the characteristic of fluctuant change is significant with three acute change pinnacles in 1988, 1991 and 2.02.which were corresponded to turning point years of economic development phases of jiangsu province respectively. Second, the synchronization between urban land change and urbanization level change is not strict. With the evolution of urbanization phases, the change pace of urbanization level increased remarkably, but urban land change rate did not increase significantly accordingly. Third, the area of urban land has exponentially increased with the increase of per capita GDP. In different economic development levels classified by per capital GDP, land resource cost for economic development is different, respectively 2..01 hm2. 2..34 hm2. 2..2. hm2. and 11.14 hm2.for the increase of 100 million RMB GDP when the per capita GDP is under 1000, 1000–2.00, 2.00–5000 and over 5000 RMB.

The Fuzzy Synthesizing Evaluation of City's Environmental Quality Based on GIOWA Operator:A Case of 13 Cities of jiangsu province

In this paper, the generally induced ordered weighted averaging (GIOWA) operator is used to construct the fuzzy evaluating system of the quality of a city’s environment including air, water and noise. Based on the part data of air, water and noise of the 13 cities under the jurisdiction of jiangsu provincial government in 2.02. a case study is given. The evaluating results show that the evaluating system of the quality of a city’s environment based on the GIOWA operator can reflect the condition of pollution controlled and environmental quality of a city in a period of time.

Analysis of the co-seismic responses of the fluid well pattern system in jiangsu province to the Wenchuan and Tohoku earthquakes

This thesis discusses the earthquake reflecting ability of the observation well pattern system of jiangsu province,{2., which has been digitally renovated, and probes into the cause of the major differences in the earthquake reflecting abilities of well holes at different measurement points. This is achieved through the analysis of the co-seismic responses to the Wenchuan (2.08; Ms8.0,{2.) and Tohoku (2.11; Ms9.0, Japan) earthquakes. We found that the co-seismic response of water level from regional well holes in jiangsu province was stronger than that of water temperature. The water-level co-seismic response follows a consistent law and is closely related to the earthquake magnitude. The co-seismic response of water temperature strongly varied among well points, and was more often manifested as a slow restorative change. The co-seismic responses also varied based on tectonic elements. The response in central and northern jiangsu was weaker than that of southern jiangsu, possibly due to the thicker loess cover layer in central jiangsu which makes it less effective at capturing the micro-changes of stress-strain states relative to the hilly land in the south. The more complicated geological structure in southern jiangsu makes it contribute to greater changes in the state of underground water after a minor disturbance.

Objective To investigate into the changes of dietary patterns and their impacts on health of urban and rural residents in jiangsu province,{2. during the 1990s. Methods On the basis of the results of food consumption survey, the calorie intake was calculated according to the balanced diet method and the quality of diet was assessed by scores of desirable dietary pattern (DDP). Results It was found that food consumption and dietary patterns changed remarkably during the 1990s. Grain consumption was decreasing year by year, but the consumption of animal food was markedly increasing. Although the score of desirable dietary pattern (DDP) in urban residents was more than 90, the deducted score due to over-consumption of animal food increased. The mortality from infectious diseases evidently decreased in the whole province, while the death rates of some chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, colorectal cancer and breast cancer, were increasing rapidly in urban areas. Conclusions Sufficient attention should be paid to the negative effects of change in dietary patterns on people's health, especially in the urban residents.

Application of rock creep experiment in calculating the viscoelastic parameters of earth medium

Based on the rock creep experiment, the data of aftershock sequence and post-earth- quake deformation are used to estimate the viscosity of crust medium near earthquake focus. Firstly 9 samples that belong to 3 kinds of rock are conducted in creep experiment under constant pressure to obtain the creep curves directly. Inversion results show that the standard linear model is the best one to present the earth medium. It exhibits obvious elasticity within a short time, while it exhibits obvious rheology within a long time. The relationship between element module μ 2.and the whole module μ of standard linear model or the module of real earth medium is calculated and analyzed. On the basis of μ 2.= 2. μ, the sequence of aftershock of Gonghe earthquake in Qinghai province is analyzed and the relationship between accumulated released strain and the time is obtained, which, combined with the creep experiment results, is used to estimate the viscosity of crustal medium in this area. The measured vertical deformation after the same earthquake also is combined with the creep experiment results, then it is used to calculate the relaxation time and viscosity through three different methods respectively, i.e. inversion of Kelvin model, difference method of deformation and viscoelastic dislo- cation theory. The viscosity of crustal medium in 32.km depth of earthquake focus of Gonghe area deduced from the different data and methods is about 1019 Pa·s, which is the same as the research results by other authors at home and abroad.

Pedodiversity: a controversial concept

The concept of pedodiversity and its measurement methodology proposed and developed by Ibá?ez research term is introduced. An attempt to apply pedodiversity to analyze spatial soil variation and distribution patterns on the global scale is briefly demonstrated. Furthermore, constructive comments and criticisms on pedodiversity and its measurement from the noted pedologists and ecologists are outlined. Finally, potential applications of pedodiversity in soil science and other relevant disciplines are discussed.

Effects of Rainfall on Water Quality of Aquaculture along the Coastal Areas of jiangsu province and Countermeasures

[Objective] The study aimed to decrease the effects of rainfall on water quality of aquaculture along the coastal areas of jiangsu province and improve the yield and quality of aquatic products.[Method] We firstly designed the methods to calculate average pH of different rainfalls,total precipitation,as well as the changes of pH and salinity in the studied pond and coastal culture zone,then analyzed the dynamic variation of precipitation,pH and salinity caused by rainfall to discuss the effects of rainfall on water quality of aquaculture along the coastal areas of jiangsu through quantitative and qualitative analysis,finally put forward some productive countermeasures to improve water quality of aquaculture.[Result] Acid rain occurred frequently in jiangsu province,and pH of pond water was reduced obviously during each heavy rain,while rainfall also had certain effects on water quality of the coastal culture ***,there was no distinct influence on *** can improve water quality of aquaculture through scientific management.[Conclusion] Scientifically choosing culture zones,timely control water level of ponds,reasonably arranging the amount and time of flood discharge,changing culture mode,*** effective measures to improve water quality of aquaculture,so as to minimize the impacts of rainfall on water quality of aquaculture along coastal areas and realize high and stable yield of aquatic products.

Calculation of maximum ground movement and deformation caused by mining

In order to know the maximum mining ground deformation of arbitrary surface point, directions of the maximum surface tilt, curvature,horizontal displacement and horizontal deformation caused by multi-working faces were deduced based on probability integral method. The distribution forms of surface deformations in all direction φ∈[0, 2.] were obtained and also equations of maximum deformations were given based on calculation of mining ground deformation in direction φ. A mining subsidence analysis system was developed with VB6.0. The system implements the probability integral mining subsidence prediction with direct integration method, and it can avoid errors of arbitrary shaped working face subdivision of traditional method, and accuracy of mining subsidence prediction can be improved with the direct integral method. The system implements the contour chart and profile chart and also data analysis automation by manipulation of the SURFER kernel function and it complements the defect of existing subsidence prediction software. Calculation of maximum deformations caused by multi-working faces mining in a coal mine of Xuzhou, china was shown as application example. Engineering application indicates that maximum deformation of mining ground surface can be calculated and analyzed by the system. The research provides a theoretical basis and calculation tool for mining subsidence prediction and analysis.

The alien gene flow between genetically modified glyphosate-resistant rapeseed variety Q3 (Brassica napus L.) and four cruciferous weeds was studied under mentor pollen inducement. The results showed that when Thlaspi arvense L., Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) Medic, Cardamine hirsuta L. and Rorippa palustris (L.) Besser were pollinated with mentor pollen, the mixed Q3 and the weed, pollen grains aggregated largely and germinated quickly, and the numbers of pollen tubes penetrating into the style and the ovary were greatly increased as compared with corresponding self-pollination groups. Twenty four to forty eight hours after pollination, several pollen tubes were observed to penetrate into the ovule via micropyle in each mentor combination. However, when the mentor progenies were analyzed by PCR, all of them showed negative for the Q3 herbicide-resistant gene. Collectively, these results indicated that crossing between T. arvense, C. bursa-pastoris, C. hirsuta, R. palustris (as female) and Q3 (as male) was highly incompatible and the herbicide-resistant gene could not flow from Q3 to these four weeds.
