The vortex self-organization is investigated in this paper by four groups of numerical experiments within the framework of quasi-geostrophic model, and based on the experimental results two types of possible mechanisms for vortex self-organization are suggested. The meso-scale to-pography may enable separated vortices to merge into a larger scale vortex; and the interaction of meso-γ and meso-β scale systems may make separated vortices to self organize a typhoon-like vor-tex circulation.

The methods of unmanned aerial vehicles images splicing rapidly and rectifying without control points data, only using auxiliary data recorded by unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system, were researched. Two algorithms were proposed, including UAV images auto- splicing rapidly after image blocking and UAV images rectifying based on pseudo center points of auxiliary data. When SIFT algorithm for UAV images splicing is applied, the accuracy is very high, but the efficiency is very low. The splicing efficiency is improved greatly based on SIFT algorithm after image blocking. The results show that rectifying accuracy is very high and has no visual dislocation when pseudo center points of auxiliary data is applied.

The concepts and calculation methods of ionospheric eclipse factor (IEF) and ionospheric influence factor (IFF) are further illustrated. The temporal and spacial variation properties of IEF and IFF are studied, which shows that the properties are influenced by the geographic position and season. The possibility of improving the precision of using GPS data to determine ionospheric delay based on the above variation properties is also analysed.

The thermal decomposition mechanisms of azoisobutyronitrile (AIBN) in the ground state have been investigated systematically. Based on the potential energy surfaces (PES) of various possible dissociation paths obtained using the semiempirical AM1.method with partial optimization, the density function theory B3.YP/6-3.0}G* method was employed to optimize the geometric parameters of the reactants, the intermediates, the products and the transition states, which were further confirmed by the vibrational analysis. The obtained results show that the re- action process of the two-bond (three-body) simultaneous cleavage Me{1.CN)C─ N=N─ C(CN)Me{1. {1.e{1.CN)C?+N{1.is much more favorable than the reaction process of the two one- bond asynchronous cleavage Me{1.CN)CN=N─C(CN)Me{1.? Me{1.CN)CN=N?+ Me{1.CN)C?? Me{1.CN)C?+ N{1. It was suggested that the electron shrinking effect of double bond (─N=N─) in AIBN and the stabilities of the Me{1.CN)C?radical as well as N{1.molecule are main factors of leading to the reaction proceeding in the former pathway. The calculation results were consistent with all the experimental facts.

A new element tracer technique has firstly been established to estimate the contri-butions of mineral aerosols from both inside and outside beijing. The ratio of Mg/Al in aerosol is a feasible element tracer to distinguish between the sources of inside and outside beijing. Mineral aerosol, inorganic pollution aerosol mainly as sulfate and nitrate, and organic aerosol are the major components of airborne particulates in beijing, of which mineral aerosol accounted for 3.3.―67% of total suspended particles （TSP）, 1.%―70% of fine particles （PM{3.5）, and as high as 74% and 90% of TSP and PM{3.5, respectively, in dust storm. The sources from outside beijing contributed 6{3. （3.%―86%） of the total mineral aerosols in TSP, 69% （5{3.―90%） in PM1., and 76% （59%―93.） in PM{3.5 in spring, and 69% （5{3.―83.）, 79% （5{3.―93.）, and 45% （7%―79%） in TSP, PM1., and PM{3.5, respectively, in winter, while only{3.% in summer and autumn. The sources from outside beijing contributed as high as 97% during dust storm and were the dominant source of airborne particulates in beijing. The contributions from outside Bei-jing in spring and winter are higher than those in summer, indicating clearly that it was related to the various meteorological factors.

Globin protein family plays an important role in storing and transporting oxygen. As a newly reported globin, the revealed function of neuroglobin includes binding and storing oxygen as well as facilitating the utilization of oxygen in neuronal cells. In the present study, mutations in exons of chicken Ngb gene were identified with the method of sequencing and created restriction site PCR in Tibet chicken and other four lowland chicken breeds. The mutations of Lys-2.2.(E4)-Asn and Ser-2.79(E4)-Gly were identified in exon 4 of the gene. The Lys-2.2.(E4)-Asn mutation existed only in Tibet chicken and the mutation frequencies increased with increasing altitude. Analysis of the haplotype and diplotype of the two mutations in Tibet chicken populations of different altitudes showed that the frequencies of TG haplotype and TTGG diplotype also increased with increasing altitude, while the reverse tendency was found on GGAA diplotype. Under the hypoxic simulation incubation, the main haplotype was TG in living embryos and GA in dead embryos. The results showed that the Lys-2.2.(E4)-Asn mutation may be a specific mutation associated with hypoxia adaptation in Tibet chicken.

Fluids and noble gases of mantle-derived materials are important tracers forthe mantle information. Compositions of primary fluids and noble gases in mantle-derived mineralsfrom the Yishu area, Shandong Province, China, were tested by the methods of heat-bursting andheat-melting respectively. The fluids are mainly composed of CO_2. CO and H_2. which account forabout 90% of the total, and are similar to the mantle-derived rocks from other areas of easternChina; ratios of ~3.e/~4He in almost all samples range from 0.82.Ra to 2.74 Ra, whereas^(40)Ar/^(3.)Ar from 2.9.5 to 758.8. Both ranges are much lower than those of the typical oceanmantle-derived samples (such as MORB) and primarily reflect the influences of the atmosphericcomponents and the radiogenic isotopes. Ratios of C/~3.e range from 2..6 x 1.~9 to 1.50 x 1.~9,N_2.Ar from 92. to 5661.0} and N_2.~3.e from 2.5 x 1.~9 to 2. x 1.~9, similar to those in westernUnited States and New Zealand which belong to the tectonic plate collision regions. The ratios fallin the intersect of mantle-crust-atmosphere in the comprehensive tracer-charts, reflecting theinfluences of the atmosphere and the crusts with organic components. Our results suggest that thecomposition of the primary fluids and the isotopic ratios of the noble gases may either reflect theevolution process of mantle-derived rocks connected with the rise and eruption of magma, or theinfluence of the ancient subduction-plate on the continental mantle of this region.

A DFT study on the reactions between CH_3.（O）O_2.nd HO_2.adicals has been carried out. It is suggested that both the triplet and singlet potential surfaces involve a complex mechanism with the formation of loosely bound intermediate complexes of reactants and products. The reaction prefers to occur on the triplet surface to produce peracetic acid (CH_3.（O）O_2.) and triplet O_2.olecule. The CH_3.（O）O_2. can further convert into CH_3.（O）O and HO radicals.
