The flow resistance factors of non-submerged rigid vegetation in open channels were analyzed. The formulas of drag coefficient CD and equivalent Manning＇s roughness coefficient na were derived by analyzing the force of the flow of non-submerged rigid vegetation in open channel. The flow characteristics and mechanism of non-submerged rigid vegetation in open channel were studied through flume experiments.

Holographic QSAR model is constructed to predict relative binding affinities of estradiol derivatives with lamb uterine estrogen receptor. The method does not require the generation of three-dimensional structure of the compounds. The factors that influence the quality of QSAR model are discussed. The result indicates that the model has good predictability and yields a high q2LOO value of 0.897. Compared to other QSAR methods, the HQSAR technique is suitable for use in screening large database of chemicals.

The rapid developments of genomics and proteomics have driven the demand for multiplex and high throughput analysis of large numbers of biomolecules in the fields of medical diagnostics, drug discovery, and environmental monitoring. Encoding the biomolecular binding events is the key technique to fulfill this demand, in which microparticles play the most important roles. This review outlines the development of multiplex and high throughput biodetections, and highlights the most recent advances in the field of encoding microparticles, together with problems that need to be resolved.

FOLLOWING the study of Roedder et al., boiling fluid inclusions are identified in oil reservoir ofQaidam Basin. This paper reports the general characteristics of the boiling fluid inclusions, analyzes theconditions for the formation water to boil at low temperature, and discusses the relation between the boiling process and the oil/gas accumulation. 1 General features Boiling fluid inclusions are minute records of the immiscibility process of subterranean hydrothermalfluids, which are generally composed of different types trapped simultaneously. A database of Antarctic 10 m firn temperature was constructed using available borehole temperature measurements with data quality control to extend knowledge of Antarctic climate. Slopes from a high-resolution digital elevation model and the main ice divide were used to delineate main drainage sectors across Antarctica. In each drainage sector, a quantitative relationship between temperature and latitude, longitude and altitude was established using available tim temperature data. Quantitative relationships incorporating other factors affecting Antarctic air temperature such as atmospheric circulation and small-scale to- pography were used to derive a 10-km resolution grid map of surface temperature. The resulting temperature patterns presented a reasonable depiction of both large and small-scale variations in Antarctic 10 m firn temperature. This map is useful for many spatial variation studies, Antarctic ice sheet models, and comparison with satellite-derived temperature data and outputs of atmospheric general circulation models.

1 Geologic background THE volcanic U-deposits are generally associated with felsic to intermediate volcanic rock and their sedimentary derivatives. However, uranium mineralization has been found to be spatially associated with thebasalt of bimodal volcanic associations in Baimianshi uranium ore field. Baimianshi uranium ore-field islocated in Baimianshi volcanic-sedimentary basin of south Jiangxi Province. The cover rocks of the basinconsist of a suite of bimodal volcanic-sedimentary sequences. Its basement rocks are two-mica granites ofBaimianshi rock body. The basalt of cover rocks is interbedded with arkoses in lower sequence, and rhyolite or rhyolitic tuff in upper sequence. The values of grains containing oil inclusions(GOI) in 120 reservoir sandstone samples from the central Junggar Basin of Northwest china were *** sandstones are characterized by different types of hydrocarbon production and *** values range from 0.015%to 19.9%,and show a fairly good correlation with the hydrocarbon production/shows,which are qualitatively suggestive of reservoir hydrocarbon abundance and petroleum ***,it may be implied that the values can reflect hydrocarbon migration,being not controlled mainly by the other influencing *** correlation between the values and the reservoir hydrocarbon production and show types indicates that the GOI method can be used in hydrocarbon migration study when the petroleum type of a reservoir is normal oil or gas alone,but it should be used with caution when light oil charges the reservoirs or a complex hydrocarbon migration event takes *** case study in the central Junggar Basin using the method presents some new understanding on hydrocarbon ***, the method may help to solve specific petroleum geological problems,and can be treated as a routine tool in hydrocarbon migration study.

The phenomenon of discharge atomization occurs as hydraulic structures discharging,which influences the safety of power station,electrical equipment and produces environmental pollution.A series of physical model tests and feedback analysis are adapted to preliminarily study the scale effect of discharge atomization model by use of the field observation data of discharge *** effect of Re and We numbers of flow on the atomization intensity is analyzed.A conversion relationship of atomization intensity between prototype and model results and the similarity criteria of the atomization range are developed. The Complexation of thiophene with a Lewis acid with moderate acidity as a solvent, such as BF3-ethyl ether (BFEE) remarkedly lowered the electrochemical polymerization potential. The positively charged metal surface of electrode in the process of electrochemical deposition enhanced the coordination interaction between pi-electrons of thiophene unit and the metal, which makes thiophene rings lie parallel to the surface of electrode, resulting in a highly ordered polymeric structure. Because of the large intra-chain transfer integrals, the transport of charge is believed to be principally along the conjugated chains, which is much greater than the inter-chain hopping. The specific electrical resistance across the polythiophene film thickness is more than 10(4) times than that along the surface plane of the film. In this paper we review the recent development of polymerization technique by low potential electrochemical method performed in our lab and several electrical devices in which the compact polythiophene films, such as anionic and cationic sieves, and laminate film junction of undoped polythiophene derivatives were used.
