On the basis of a great number of experiments, it is proved that the strength of concrete is improved greatly when it is mixed with activated water produced by the electro-hydraulic impulse. With the proper parameters, the compression strength of concrete can be increased by 45%. The reason for improvement of concrete strength by using activated water is discussed from the aspect of the structure of molecule.

Six kinds of emotions,namely joy,surprise,disgust,grief,anger and fear,are elicited from 300 ordinary college students by means of high-rated movie *** signals of galvanic skin response(GSR),heart rate(HR),blood volume pulse(BVP),electrocardiogram(ECG),respiration(Rsp.),facial electromyography(EMG) and two channels of electroencephalography(EEG) from the frontal lobe were recorded while the subjects were watching the affective eliciting *** samples of each kind of signals are analyzed by using random matrix theory(RMT).From the distribution of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the correlation matrices of BVP,facial EMG and two EEGs,we find that the statistical properties of these four kinds of signals coincide with the RMT ***,the largest eigenvalue and the corresponding eigenvector component distribution of the correlation matrices of GSR,HR,ECG and *** deviated significantly from the RMT *** experiments also reveal that the correlations between two arbitrary samples of BVP,facial EMG or EEGs does not result from affective response but from random noises,whereas the amplitude variations of GSR,HR,ECG and *** the correlated affective physiological response *** to the data analysis results of RMT,110 features are firstly extracted from the GSR and HR signals,and then a subset of the initial features is selected by using the Backward Selection *** affective data samples each of which is a vector of the features are classified by using a Fisher classifier,and furthermore,the user-independent emotion recognition systems with good prediction performance are constructed during the model selection process.

The effects of Sc addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the ZK60 wrought magnesium alloy were investigated by using optical microscope,scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and tensile *** experimental results show that a minor Sc addition to ZK60 alloy has an obvious effect on the refinement of the microstructure of the ZK60 alloy. During hot extrusion,incomplete dynamic recrystallization occurs in all the alloys,and the recrystallized grains become much finer with increasing Sc *** tensile strengths of ZK60 evidently increase with the addition of Sc,but the elongations decrease. The ZK60 alloy with 0.6%(mass fraction) Sc addition is found to have the tensile strength of about 350 MPa and the yield strength of about 280 *** T6 heat treatment,the tensile strength of the alloy containing 0.6%Sc remains almost ***, the yield strength of the alloy increases up to 352 MPa,and the ratio of the tensile strength to the yield strength is close to 1.

When making a diamond film by direct current plasma jet, a kind piece of flake is used as a base body Which the film can beattached to. The flake's temperature is unstable. Therefore, some experiments and constructed mathematical models, which were solvedby computer, were done. The results show that the flake's temperature is influenced by many factors and the mains are plasma jet powerand vacuum pressure. Through adjusting the two parameters, the flake's temperature can be accurately controlled, furthermore, diamondfilms' quality would be improved. Lowering sediment platform's temperature has a little effect to the flake's temperature at present technology conditions.

Large-eddy simulations and vortex structures of turbulent jets in crossflow

Using the method of large-eddy simulation, the 3-dimensional turbulent jets in crossflow with stream-wise and transverse arrangements of nozzle are simulated, emphasizing on the dynamical process of generation and evolution of vortex structures in these flows. The results show that the basic vortex structures in literatures, such as the counter-rotating vortex pair, leading-edge vortices, lee-side vortices, hanging vortices, kidney vortices and anti-kidney vortices, are not independent physical substances, but local structures of the basic vortex structure of turbulent jets in crossflow-the 3-D stretching vortex rings originating from the orifice of the nozzle, which is discovered in this study. Therefore, the most important large-scale structures of turbulent jets in crossflow are unified to the 3-D vortex rings which stretch and twist in stream-wise and swing in transverse directions. We also found that the shedding frequencies of vortex rings are much lower than the one corresponding to the appearance of leading-edge and lee-side vortices in the turbulent jets.

Commercial Al-3Ti-1C and Al-5Ti-1B master alloys were added in order to refine the grains of Mg-Li-Al *** effects of their addition levels on grain refinement of Mg-Li-Al cast alloy were investigated and the mechanism of the grain refinement was *** results showed that the addition of Al-3Ti-1C master alloy reduced the grain size of LA141 cast alloy from 900μm to 400μm,while the addition of Al-5Ti-1B master alloy reduced the grain size of LA51 cast alloy from 500μm to 240μ*** grain refining mechanism was the heterogeneity nucleation of TiC and TiB2,because of less than 10%mismatches of TiC/β-Li and TiB2/α-Mg.

This paper developed a new type of three dimensional inner microfin tube. The experimental results of the flow patterns for the horizontal condensation inside these tubes are reported in the paper. The flow patterns for the horizontal condensation inside the new made tubes are divided into annular flow, stratified flow and intermittent flow within the test conditions. The experiments of the local heat transfer coefficients for the different flow patterns have been systematically carried out. The experiments of the local heat transfer coefficients changing with the vapor dryness fraction have also been carried out. As compared with the heat transfer coefficients of the two dimensional inner microfin tubes, those of the three dimensional inner microfin tubes increase 47-127% for the annular flow region, 38-183% for the stratified flow and 15-75% for the intermittent flow, respectively. The enhancement factor of the local heat transfer coefficients is from 1.8-6.9 for the vapor dryness fraction from 0.05 to 1.

The normal asphalt index test, DSR test, FTIR and the GPC distribution analysis of molecular weight on the extraction and recovery of asphalt of the gussasphalt, SMA extraction and recovery of asphalt and the rotary-thin-film-oven-aged asphalt above 240 ℃ were introduced. The results indicate the rutting factor and fatigue factor of the extraction and recovery of asphalt of the gussasphalt are greatly improved, and an obvious absorption peak of carbonyl and a further decrease of the SBS molecular weight of the gussasphalt are found.
