Landscape Ecological Evaluation on the Artificial Forest of Leucaena leucocephala——Taking the Example of Xiaokua Hill of Yuanmou

Based on the theory of ecology, this article conducted a landscape ecological evaluation on Leucaena leucocephala artificial forest in the add-hot valley, Yuanmou Xiaokua hill, using a combination method of qualitative analysis and landscape comprehensive evaluation. The comprehensive evaluation indexes of landscape include forest coverage, biodiversity, stability, soil erosion, environmental quality, availability, scientific research characteristic, economic benefits. Using AHP （analytical hierarchy process）, determine the grade of ecological evaluation factors and the weight of evaluation index and calculate the CEI （comprehensive evaluation index） on ecological evaluation. Evaluation results showed that the area CEI was 0.714 225, a better quality of the ecological level, but biodiversity indicators was the lowest. To sum up, it was difficult to maintain ecological restoration effectiveness and process but also guarantee a good biodiversity in the add-hot valleys. We must reasonably arrange the alien species and the native species, in order to obtain a stable and sustainable eco-system.

Transpiration of the Tamarind Artificial Forest in the Arid-Hot Valleys of Jinshajiang River,Yunnan

The transpiration characteristics of the tamarind artificial forest in the arid-hot valleys of Jinshajiang River, Yunnan were investigated through the measurement of the transpiration rate, stomatal conductance of tamarind leaf and the related envi- ronmental factors. The results showed that the transpiration of the tamarind in the clear sky had the close positive correlations with photosynthetically active radiation and air temperature and negative correlation with atmosphere moisture in the whole growth period. The daily change tendency of the transpiration rate was the similar with stomatal conductance, and the transpiration had the positive correlation with stomatal conductance. The transpiration rate of tamarind was highest in the rainy season of June and July and was relatively low in the drought season of March and April. The transpiration water consumption in rainy season of June and July was obviously higher than that in drought season of March and April. It fully suggested that the tamarind showed very good drought resistance and adaptability to the arid-hot valleys of Yunnan .

Phytochemical investigation on the stems of Trigonostemon heterophyllus led to the isolation of a new diterpene,trigonoheterene(1),and a new naphthoquinone,trigonoheterone(2), together with two known compounds,3,4-seco-sonderianol,(3) and trigonochinene E,(4).Their structures were determined by spectroscopic techniques(UV,IR,MS,ID and 2D NMR).All compounds were evaluated for cytotoxic activities and antibacterial activities.

Information on the genetic relationship between tropical maize (Zea mays L), germplasm and temperate maize germplasm is of great value to maize breeding. The objective of this study was to determine the combining ability and genetic relationship of 25 inbreds extracted from five tropical maize populations and a land race, with four temperate maize inbreds (Huangzaosi, Mol7, B73 and Dan 340). The 25 tropical inbreds were crossed with the four temperate inbreds and evaluated. Lines from Suwanl and POP28 had high general combining ability (GCA) for grain yield. The lines from POP32 (ETO) had the highest special combining ability (SCA) with B73; the average SCA value of the 5 lines was 879 kg/ha. The lines from Suwanl had the second-highest SCA (584 kg/ha) with Huangzaosi. The lines from Suwanl had the greatest relative heterosis (20%) with B73, followed by the lines from POP32 (ETO) with B73 (19%). Five heterotic patterns have been identified from this study: Suwanl × Reid, ETO × Reid, POP28× Reid, POP28× Ludahong-gu, and Suwan1× Lancaster.

Both rice pollen flow and gene flow model have been established based on the Gaussian Plume Model,the 3 locations×3 years field experimental data of transgene flow to common rice cultivars(Oryza sativa L.),male sterile(ms) lines and common wild rice(*** L.),and the 32 years historical meteorology data during the rice flowering period collected from 38 meteorological stations in southern china. A concept of gene flow coefficient(GFC) is proposed,that is the ratio of the transgene flow frequency(G%) obtained from field experiments against the aggregated pollen dispersal ratio(P) or frequency(P%) calculated based on the pollen flow model. The maximum distances of gene flow(MDGF) to traditional rice cultivars,ms lines,and common wild rice either at a threshold value of 1.0%or 0.1%are determined. The MDGF and its spatial distribution in southern china show that the gene flow pattern is significantly affected by the monsoon climate,the topography,and the outcrossing ability of recipients. We believe that the information provided in this study will be useful for the risk assessment of transgenic rice in other rice growing regions.

Various colors have been used as visual cues to trap insect *** example,yellow traps for monitoring and control of the whiteflies have been in use for a very long ***,the chromatic cue of using color traps has never been quantitative *** this study,RGB values and wavelengths were changed each other based on Dan Bruton’s wavelength to RGB function..Eight colored papers printed by color printer based on RGB values[(0,213,255),(0,255,146),(54,255,0), (129,255,0),(195,255,0),(255,255,0),(255,190,0) and(255,119,0)]were chosen to test the color preference of spirlling whitefly,Aleurodicus dispersus in a octagon *** approximate wavelengths were 480,500,520,540,560,580,560 and 600 nm *** color papers with the spectrum between 530～570 nm showed the higher attraction than other color papers,and 550 nm (chartreuse,RGB 163,255,0) showed the highest attracted *** additional,field preference test was done to confirm the effect of the chartreuse *** was concluded that chartreuse stimuli(spectra:550 nm) should be a crucial cue to attract the spirlling whitefly,***.

The spiraling whitefly,Aleurodicus disperses Russell,is a new invasive insect pest in Hainan, *** phototactic behavior of *** response to spectral sensitivity and light intensity were investigated using ultraviolet light-emitting diodes(UV-LED) as the light *** of UV-LED evaluated were 380,365,340,310,280 and 265±5 *** light preference of the spiraling whitefly was obtained from 50 replicates with at least 30 whiteflies for each *** results were as follows:(1) The 365 nm UV-LEDs were significantly more attractive than the other UV-LEDs.(2) Phototactic response was directly related to light *** light intensity range from 1 to 4×10 w/cm(emitting from 365 nm UV-LED),as the intensity of light increases,the response rate of phototaxis is increasing.(3) The effect of sex to response to the spectral sensitivity and intensity is not *** results show an interesting potential of using UV-LED as light source in the development of the spiralling whitefly monitoring techniques.

＜正＞ The effects of new and old tapping systems as well as the different stimulating intensity and different tapping frequency on the volatile fatty acid number （VFANo.） of the latex were studied. The changes of VFANo. during storage of the field latex obtained from six tapping systems were investigated. The testing results indicate that the VFANo. of the latex obtained from different tapping systems changes greatly during certain time of storage. The VFANo. of the latex obtained from new tapping system increases more quickly. The VFANo. of the latex obtained with high stimulating intensity treatment is obviously higher than that obtained with low stimulating intensity treatment. The VFANo. of the latex obtained with high tapping frequency treatment is obviously higher than that obtained with low tapping frequency treatment. The VFANo. of the latex obtained from different tapping systems shows no significant difference between each other and is very low at the time of collection;after that, the formation of VFA varies with the ammonia content of the latex: the higher the ammonia content is, the lower the VFA in latex is.
