BACKGROUND: The pharmacological action of traditional Chinese medicine compound is the comprehensive effect of the various ingredients, and the interactions of various ingredients are closely correlated with the final effect. In order to reveal the compatibility mechanism of BHD's prescription in treating and preventing ischemic cerebrovascular disease, we needed explore the effect and relation of ingredients in the prescription. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of Buyang Huanwu decoction (BHD) and Astragalus mongholicus on the activity of platelet activating factor receptor (PAFR) in the platelet of rabbits in vitro, and investigate the mechanism of Astragalus mongholicus. DESIGN: A decomposed recipes study. SETTING: Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. MATERIALS: Five New Zealand rabbits, weighing 2-3.kg, both sexes, were used. BHD was composed of Sheng Huang Qi 120 g, Dang Gui Wei 6 g, Chi Shao 4.5 g, Chuan Xiong 3.g, Di Long 3.g, Tao Ren 3.g, Hong Hua 3.g. The prescription for activating blood circulation consisted of Dang Gui Wei 6 g, Chi Shao 4.5 g, Chuan Xiong 3.g, Di Long 3.g, Tao Ren 3.g and Hong Hua 3.g. The prescription for invigorating qi consisted of 120 g Sheng Huang Qi. The prepared herbal pieces were purchased from the traditional Chinese medicine Dispensary of Foshan Second People's Hospital, and appraised by Professor Xu from Science of Chinese Materia Medica College, Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. 3.-PAF was supplied by Amersham Co., Ltd. (specific activity: 6. 475 TBq/mmol; batch number: 200402); PAF standard by Biomol Co., Ltd. (batch number: P13.8V). The dusty cloud radiative forcing over the middle latitude regions of East Asia was estimated by using the 2-year (July 2002-June 2004) data of collocated clouds and the Earth's radiant energy system (CERES) scanner and moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer (MODIS) from Aqua Edition IB SSF (single scanner footprint). The dusty cloud is defined as the cloud in dust storm environment or dust contaminated clouds. For clouds growing in the presence of dust, the instantaneous short-wave (SW) forcing at the top of the atmosphere (TOA) is about - 275. 7 W/m for cloud over dust (COD) region. The clouds developing in no-dust cloud (CLD) regions yield the most negative short-wave (SW) forcing ( - 3.1.0 W/m2), which is about 12.8% stronger than those in COD regions. For long-wave (LW) radiative forcing, the no-dust cloud (CLD) is around 102.8 W/m2 , which is 20% less than the LW forcing from COD regions. The instantaneous TOA net radiative forcing for the CLD region is about - 208.2 W/m2, which is 42.1 % larger than the values of COD regions. The existence of dust aerosols under clouds significantly reduces the cooling effect of clouds.

[Objective]The research aimed to analyze a cold wave weather process in winter in gansu.[Method] Based on routine observation data and numerical forecast products,formation reason and physical quantity characteristics of a cold wave process during 2-5 December,2008 were comprehensively analyzed by synoptic analysis and diagnostic analysis methods.[Result]The cold wave weather belonged to ' translot turning vertical type'.Collapse of the Urals ridge,turning vertical of the translot and strengthening south of the ground cold high induced the cold *** of the Siberian low vortex drove the small branch of cold air in polar region supplementing south,playing certain promoting role in outbreak of the cold *** quantities in the cold wave process also had very good expression,such as vorticity,temperature advection,etc.[Conclusion]This research had important indication effect for early warning,forecast and decision service of the future similar weather process.

In this paper , 10 novel 6-aryl-3.(5'-phenyl-2H-tetrazole-2'-methylene)-S-triazolo[3. 4-b]-1,3.4-thiadiazoles have been synthesized by the condensation of 3.(5'-phenyl-2H-tetrazole-2'-methylene)-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole with various aromatic carboxylic acids in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride. The structure of these compounds was determined by elemental analysis , UV, IR, 1H NMR and MS. Their spectral properties were also discussed.

The first results of sorption experiments of U(VI), 23.U(VI) and 23.U(VI) onto original (unpurified) fracture-filling clays from No.1 monzonitic granite intrusion, Beishan area, gansu province, china are reported. The monzonitic granite intrusion is a potential location for a high-level radwaste (HLW) repository in china. The present experimental results show that the maximum U(VI) sorption reached 92% at near-neutral pH and the distribution coefficient (Kd) was 1226 mL/g. A high sorption capacity of the fracture-filling clays in host rock on radioactive ele-ments is necessary for HLW deep geological disposal repository. No preferential sorption of 23.U onto the clays was found. Finally, the sorption of U(VI) onto the clays was also modeled using a surface complexation model.

Most of the sulfide nickel deposits in china occur on the margins of platforms and their outer mobilebelts. The ore-bearing basic-ultrabasic rock bodies were formed in the Proterozoic and Variscan. The types ofmetallogenic rock bodies include ultrahasic-basic complexes related to volcanism in eugeosynclines andultrabasic rock bodies, ultrabasic-basic complexes and basic rock bodies related to deep fractures. On the basisof ore-forming processes and modes, nickel sulfide deposits of china may be divided into two major types:in-situ magmatic liquid unmixing deposits and deep-seated magmatic liquid unmixing injection deposits. Thelatter may by subdivided into four types: single injection deposits, multiple injection deposits, and pulsatory in-jection depositis, and late injection deposits which may inject into either comagmatic rocks or other kinds ofcountry rocks. Two metallogenic models for nickel sulfide deposits are proposed in this paper.

A class of second order nonlinear differential equations with delay depenging on the unknown function of the fromin the case where ∫0∞ ds/r(s) < ∞ is studied. Various classifications of their eventually positive solutions are given in terms of their asymptotic magnitudes, and necessary as well as sufficient conditions for the existence of these solutions are also obtained.

Vanadium oxide nanotubes were synthesized by hydrothermal treatment from V2O5·nH2O sols as precursor and dodecylamine as structure-directing template. The morphology and structure of the nanotubes were characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD, TG-DTA and FTIR. The experimental results reveal that the duration of the hydrothermal treatment is of importance for obtaining VOx-NTs which have a layered structure. TG-DTA study indicates that V5+ cations in nanotubes are partially reduced to V4+ cations. The results from FTIR spectra indicate the difference in V-O vibrations between before and after hydrothermal treatment. From the results, it suggests that during hydrothermal treatment, the rearrangement of the vanadium oxide structure leads to the formation of VOx nanotubes from lamellar structure because of the presence of V4+ species.
