Divergent Nanotube Synthesis through Reversible Macrocycle Assembly

The pre-warning of enterprise financial crisis is a hot studying spot in current theory field, and also becomes a considering focus in reality field. This paper firstly overviews the present research conditions of enterprise financial crisis pre-warning, sets up the pre-warning index system. Then makes reduction on the index system and finds the core unascertained factors which influence enterprise financial safety by using the Rough Sets（RS）. On this basis, accomplishes the financial risk pre-warning based on the great nonlinear function approaching capability of artificial nerve network（ANN）. Against for the shortage of ANN, this paper introduces the Particle Swarm Optimization（PSO）, sets up a crisis forecast system to the enterprise financial crisis based on RS and ANN with PSO. Thus making the index system reduction, the dynamic study and induction of ANN, the Particle Swarm Optimization, the forecast and evaluation of enterprise financial crisis organically combined. At last, gives an actual example to justify the validity and efficiency of this model. This study supplies a new method for the dynamic pre-warning of enterprise financial crisis.

Background: Patients with advanced hepatobiliary cancer (HBC) have a dismal prognosis and limited treatment options. Immunotherapy has been considered as a promising treatment, especially for cancers not amenable to surgery. Methods: Between 2004, and 2015, patients diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), intra- and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and gallbladder cancer (GBC) were identified in the National Cancer Database. Results: Among 249,913 patients with HBC, only 585 (0.2%) patients received immunotherapy. Among patients who received immunotherapy, most patients were diagnosed between 2012 and 2015, had private insurance, as well as an income ≥$46,000 and were treated at an academic facility. The use of immunotherapy among HBC patients varied by diagnosis (HCC, 67.7%;bile duct cancer, 14%). On multivariable analysis, a more recent period of diagnosis (OR 1.80, 95% CI: 1.44-2.25), median income >$46,000 (OR 1.43, 95% CI: 1.11-1.87), and higher tumor stage (stage III, OR 2.22, 95% CI: 1.65-3.01;stage IV, OR 3.24, 95% CI:2.41-4.34) were associated with greater odds of receiving immunotherapy. Conclusions: Overall utilization of immunotherapy in the US among patients with HBC was very low, yet has increased over time. Certain socioeconomic factors were associated with an increased likely of receiving immunotherapy, suggesting disparities in access of patients with lower socioeconomic status.

Background: Isolated thoracolumbar vertebral transverse process fractures (TPF) are often considered a stable injury. However, the use of advanced imaging such as magnetic resonance imaging and spine specialist consultation are often ordered as part of the routine workup of these fractures. The routine ordering of advanced imaging, spine specialist consultation, and delayed mobilization causes unnecessary economic and clinical burdens to patients and the overall healthcare system. Purpose: To determine if a higher number of isolated TPFs (iTPFs) lead to an increase in ligamentous injury to the spine, and whether ligamentous injury—if present—requires surgical intervention. Methods: The retrospective review was performed from 2009 to 2015, using a surgical trauma database to identify patients with greater than 3 isolated TPF (iTPF) to determine if iTPF leads to an increase in ligamentous injury to the spine and if this increase leads to increased surgical intervention. Results: A total of 102 patients were identified with complete follow up at 6 - 8 weeks post injury. The majority of the included patients suffered from blunt trauma. There was a small rate of ligamentous injury (n = 7, 7%) that did not require additional treatment. None of the fractures included were considered unstable. None of the patients included required surgical intervention during their hospital visit or in follow up visits. Conclusion: iTPFs are a stable injury to the thoracolumbar spine. There is a small rate of associated ligamentous injury that does not change the management or require further interventions. Thoracolumbar iTPFs do not automatically need spine specialist consultation and advanced imaging techniques.

建立协同自适应巡航控制(Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control,CACC)车辆跟驰模型,并分析不同CACC比例下的混合交通流通行能力,尾部碰撞安全及交通排放.考虑车辆期望车头间距随速度动态变化的交通流特性,建立基于非线性动态车头间距策略的CACC跟驰模型,推导不同CACC比例下的混合交通流基本图模型,分析CACC提高通行能力的交通流运行机理.设计高速公路上匝道瓶颈数值仿真实验,评估不同CACC比例下的车辆尾部碰撞安全隐患,以及油耗、CO、HC、NOx的排放.研究结果表明,本文建立的CACC模型能够在交通流速度基本不变的情况下,以较高的交通流密度显著提升通行能力,同时有利于车辆尾部碰撞安全风险及交通排放的降低.

In pulsar timing, timing residuals are the differences between the observed times of arrival and predictions from the timing model. A comprehensive timing model will produce featureless resid- uals, which are presumably composed of dominating noise and weak physical effects excluded from the timing model （e.g. gravitational waves）. In order to apply optimal statistical methods for detecting weak gravitational wave signals, we need to know the statistical properties of noise components in the residuals. In this paper we utilize a variety of non-parametric statistical tests to analyze the whiteness and Gaussianity of the North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves （NANOGrav） 5- year timing data, which are obtained from Arecibo Observatory and Green Bank Telescope from 2005 to 2010. We find that most of the data are consistent with white noise; many data deviate from Gaussianity at different levels, nevertheless, removing outliers in some pulsars will mitigate the deviations.

A bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library consisting of 19,200 clones with an average insert size of 105 kb has been constructed from a cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) inbred line S94,derived from a cultivar in North China. The entire library was equivalent to approximately 5 haploid cucumber genomes. To facilitate chromosome engineering and anchor the cucumber genetic linkage map to its chromosomes,15 sequence-characterized ampli?ed regions (SCAR) and seven simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers from each link-age group of cucumber were used to screen an ordered array of pooled BAC DNA with polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Fifteen mark-ers gave at least two positive clones. As a result,22 BAC clones representing 7 linkage groups of cucumber were identified,which further validated the genome coverage and utility of the library. This BAC library and linkage group specific clones provide essential resources for future research of the cucumber genome.

Background:We sought to assess the overall benefit of laparoscopic versus open hepatectomy for treatment of colorectal liver metastases(CRLMs)using the win ratio,a novel methodological ***:CRLM patients undergoing curative-intent resection in 2001-2018 were identified from an international multi-institutional *** were paired and matched based on age,number and size of lesions,lymph node status and receipt of preoperative *** win ratio was calculated based on margin status,severity of postoperative complications,90-day mortality,time to recurrence,and time to ***:Among 962 patients,the majority underwent open hepatectomy(n=832,86.5%),while a minority underwent laparoscopic hepatectomy(n=130,13.5%).Among matched patient-to-patient pairs,the odds of the patient undergoing laparoscopic resection“winning”were 1.77[WR:1.77,95%confidence interval(CI):1.42-2.34].The win ratio favored laparoscopic hepatectomy independent of low(WR:2.94,95%CI:1.20-6.39),medium(WR:1.56,95%CI:1.16-2.10)or high(WR:7.25,95%CI:1.13-32.0)tumor burden,as well as unilobar(WR:1.71,95%CI:1.25-2.31)or bilobar(WR:4.57,95%CI:2.36-8.64)*** odds of“winning”were particularly pronounced relative to short-term outcomes(i.e.,90-day mortality and severity of postoperative complications)(WR:4.06,95%CI:2.33-7.78).Conclusions:Patients undergoing laparoscopic hepatectomy had 77%increased odds of“winning”.Laparoscopic liver resection should be strongly considered as a preferred approach to resection in CRLM patients.

Data Transmission Delay in Medtronic Reveal LINQ<sup>TM</sup>Implantable Cardiac Monitor: Clinical Experience in 520 Patients

Background: The Implantable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is an invaluable tool for detecting cardiac arrhythmias by providing physicians. Critical to the success of ICMs depends on how quickly and accurately the data can be transmitted to a physician’s office after an arrhythmic event. Then, the clinical event can be analyzed and the treatment will be provided accordingly. However, no reports have been published as to how efficiently the ICM data is transmitted. Methods: There is a retrospective review of 520 patients who received a Medtronic Reveal LINQTM between 2/01/2015 and 6/01/2017. The time from the arrhythmic event to the time of physician notification was calculated and reason for delay was noted. Results: One hundred and twenty patients out of 520 patients (23%) had arrhythmic events transmitted over a mean follow up of 14 ± 4 months. The mean time between cardiac events and physician notification was 15 ± 8 days. Sixty-three percent (63%) of data transmission delay (defined as >24 hours) was due to the MyCareLinkTM Monitor not being in proximity to the patient. Connection failure between the monitor and the network accounted for 34% of data transmission delay. Conclusion: Significant delay in data transmission from Medtronic Reveal LINQTM cardiac monitor occurs frequently impacting patient care. Newer generations of the implantable cardiac monitors utilize Bluetooth technology, enabling immediate transfer of data from ICM to a patient’s cellular phone and subsequently to their physician’s office. This technology could potentially improve efficiency and reliability eliminating the issues of proximity and connectivity.
