Considering its structural features, geometric shapes, service mode, environmental media, mechanical behavior, etc, the special nature and complexity of tailings dam were summarized. The technical approach to safety management for tailings dam was proposed, which is the on-line automated monitoring and early warning information. The results show that a strong theoretical basis can be provided for security monitoring and security management of tailings dam. Online automated monitoring system for tailings dam has full implementation of the information. It is applied widely in Lingnan gold mine, Xiadian gold mine and Hedong gold mine in Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province, and achieves good effect.

An InGaN/GaN multiple-quantum-well（MQW）light-emitting diode（LED）with a ten-period i（undoped）-InGaN/p（Mg doped）-GaN（2.5 nm/5.0 nm）superlattice（SL）structure,was *** SL structure that can be regarded as a confinement layer of holes to enhance the hole injection efficiency is inserted between MQW and p-GaN *** studied LED device exhibits better current spreading performance and an improved quality,compared with a conventional one without SL *** to the reduced contact resistance as well as more uniformity of carriers injection,the operation voltage at 20 mA is decreased from 3.32 to 3.14 V.A remarkably reduced reverse-biased leakage current(10-7-10-9A)and higher endurance of the reverse current pulse are *** measured output power and external quantum efficiency（EQE）of the studied LED are 13.6 mW and 24.8%,respectively. In addition,significant enhancement of 25.4%in output power as well as increment of 5%in EQE for the studied devices is observed, as the studied devices show superior current spreading ability and reduction in dislocations offered by the SL structure.

Data, including the spatial data and the non-spatial data, are the basis of all digital scientific engineering projects, such as the digital earth and the digital nation, the digital mine. The spatial data have the characteristics of many sources, multi-dimension, multi-type, many time states and different accuracy. The spatial data firstly must be processed before using these data. The parameter estimation model to process the data is commonly the more complex nonlinear model including random parameters and non-random parameters. So a generalized nonlinear dynamic least squares method to process these data is put forward. According to the special structure of the generalized nonlinear dynamic least squares problem and the solution to the first order, a new solving model and a corresponding method to process the problem are put forward. The complex problem can be divided into two sub-problems so that the number of the unknown parameters is reduced largely. Therefore it reduces the computing difficulty and load.

Iterative learning control requires initial repositioning, while the time functions to be learned should be of periodicity in repetitive control. However, there are cases in practice where the time-varying unknowns are not periodic but repetitive, and repetitive learning control is applicable with avoidance of initial repositioning. In this paper, repetitive learning control designs are presented for a broader class of nonlinear systems over finite intervals. The Freeman formula is modified and used for stabilization of the nominal nonlinear time-varying system undertaken. The global stability of the learning system and asymptotic convergence of the tracking error are established through analysis of both partially and fully saturated learning algorithms, respectively. The repetitive learning control method is theoretically shown to be effective in dealing with time-varying parametric uncertainties.

A new transient stability margin is proposed based on a new expression of dynamic security region (DSR) which is developed from the existing expression of DSR. Applications of the DSR based transient stability margin to contingency ranking and screening are discussed. Simulations in the 10-machine 39-bus New England system are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed DSR based tran-sient stability margin.

In 2009, S. Akleylek et al. and R. Tso et al. proposed two efficient short signature schemes from bilinear pairings separately. In this paper, we propose the key substitution attacks on the two short signature schemes. Our attacks show that the malicious attacker can generate a valid signature, which can be verified by a forged public key, from a legitimate user’s public key and a signature on some message m. Therefore, S. Akleylek et al.’s scheme and R. Tso et al.’s scheme are insecure against the key substitution attack.

The hysteresis phenomena of ferroelectric/ferroelastic material in polarization procedure are investigated. Some assumptions are presented based on the published experimental data. The electrical yielding criterion, mechanical yielding criterion and isotropic hardening model are established. The flow theory in incremental forms in polarization procedure is presented. The nonlinear constitutive law for electrical-mechanical coupling is proposed phenomenologically. Finally, the nonlinear constitutive law expressed in a form of matrices and vectors, which is immediately associated with finite element analysis, is formulated. In the example problem of a rectangular specimen subjected to a uniaxial electric field, the procedure from virgin state to fully polarized state is simulated. Afterward, a uniaxial compressive loading is applied to depolarizing the specimen. Results are in agreement with the experimental data.
